I have always heard that coconut oil has many health benefits, but I had no idea of the extent of them. Did you know that it has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties? It has also been shown to lower cholesterol, contribute to weight loss, reduce inflammation, relieve allergies, and even help with diabetes. It is also great for hair and skin care. I have already replaced my other cooking oils with coconut oil. I have also dumped margarine in favor of real butter due to some of the horrendous things I read about margarine in this book. Dog lovers, coconut oil is great for for your fur babies too!
