ALL-INCLUSIVE: A SHORT EROTIC ROMANCE -- When Sanctuary Sands, an all-inclusive resort on Turks & Caicos, hires Alissa to produce its marketing materials, she visits the beautiful Caribbean island to get a feel for the location, the hotel, and its facilities. Recently burned by an engagement that ended right before her wedding, Alissa is lonely, driven only by her work. She's prepared for a professional trip and plenty of research, but she's not prepared to meet Bryan, the young designer on staff at the resort. Immediately the two form a flirtatious bond, and when he invites her for an after-dinner walk along the beach, she suspects her romantic dry spell is about to come to an amazing end.

Alissa is a writer. Not a novelist, but a brochure writer. She lucks out and gets the opportunity to go to the Caribbean in order to view a fancy hotel—lucky enough to get all of the bells and whistles that come with staying at said hotel—and then write up the brochure accordingly. Having gotten left at the alter by her ex-boyfriend during her “Not-Wedding” Alissa still feels a little traumatized over it all.

One she arrives she meets two people. Gabe, the hotel manager and the person whom she’ll be working for, and his employee Bryan. Things spark between Bryan and Alissa.

This story was enjoyable and had all of the things that you’d expect from an erotica. Surprise, sensuality, sexiness, the unexpected and the right heroine and hero. However, I felt that the premise was a little too much like Lexa Flynn’s other short story Sapphire. It was a little unoriginal on the author’s behalf as it resembles the other story way too much. I would have liked a little more originality with the story line.

Besides that, if you’re in the mood for a nice and fast erotica, you’ll enjoy this story. I give this 4 out of 5 stars.

Extended review can be found on The Review Board.

Even though this work is a short read, the author did a great job with character development and pacing. I found myself relating to Alissa: from her disappointment in her last relationship to trying to rediscover herself and find happiness. I found myself crushing on Bryan. He was a delectable mix of attentive, talkative, and flirtatious. The moments between Alissa and Bryan, at times, took on the vibe of two awkward teenagers: interested in each other but trying to find ways to go about it without being overly pushy. I found it very delightful to watch. The author was more deliberate in terms of dialogue, and I felt like I was part of the scene.

The erotic part of this write had a more sensual flow. The connection between Bryan and Alissa definitely displayed potential for an ongoing romance. I enjoyed being a fly on the wall as all the fully described passion blossomed.

Alissa is a woman who visits Turks and Caicos on business. Happy to get away especially after a failed relationship, she decides to enjoy herself. While working with some of the hotel's employees to develop their marketing materials, she is introduced to Bryan. Alissa and Bryan have a weird vibe and they end up in an awkward position (literally).

The author does a great job with character development and it was an okay plot. Although it was an e-short, I felt the plot was missing something.

When it comes to short erotica, this is something new. The characters aren't your ordinary professionals, they work in the sidelines. This is more of a teaser to a longer story. The sexual chemistry is there and the author wrote a one-sided scene. It was quite a cliffhanger but enjoyable just the same.

This short and sweet story is a 2.5 star for me. It is a bit more than okay but not really memorable. Alyssa gets to enjoy a few days to learn all about an all-inclusive resort so that she can write up the brochures as a copy editor.

The story is edited well. There is also a good injection of humour. Not a badly written story. Just a bit "meh" for me.

I loved this story's setting, and the characters were very likable. There's cute dialog between them, and they are relatable. The steamy stuff is good, and I wish it had continued. These two could use a sequel.
