(This review is for the entire series)
Keyword: Growth, music, bondage, friendship

This is really a brilliant series. The entire story is about growth of Kai and Shuhei, and their relationships with music and other people around them. The characters are very relatable, especially to a piano student like me.

Shuhei actually represents most piano students. At first, he practices the piano just because someone else asks us to. Later, his reason becomes winning the "competition" with Kai. He has never found out the real joy in playing music, but just do so because of someone else's sake. His parents even add to this kind of thought. Shuhei's father is really a typical Asian parent who cares more about whether his son gets all the "model answer" than whether his son finds happiness in music or not. But luckily, Shuhei eventually finds out the joy in piano. In modern society, we usually find our reason for doing something from sources other than the activity itself. But whenever we fail, we find no reason to continue. But the supreme happiness goes to someone who finds passion in the activity itself, so he feels satisfied WHEN he is doing the activity.

Kai and Ajino sensei's bonding is also very touching. I really love the way they receive salvation from each other. Ajino sensei has nurtured Kai's talent, provided him with shelter and education, gave him the wings of freedom. In return, Kai has provided meaning to Ajino sensei's wasted life, and in the end, revived his life as a pianist. They are more than teacher and student. Their relationship are also of best friends, father-and-son. And they have influenced thousands of people around. In the end, they are going to continue on their quest, to use music to make a difference.

Pretty great Classical music manga, really loved the art! The story was great and beautiful at times, but I thought it went slightly down hill the second half of the series 😁🎹🎻🎼❤️❤️

The review is for the complete Manga. I enjoyed this emotion filled slice of life manga focused on a boy who wants to play the Piano. The plot although not original or perfect still kept me hooked on till the conclusion, ended up reading all 26 volumes in two days.

The protagonist Kia’s growth and struggle all through the manga is well portrayed. Time skips are used perfectly to keep the plot fresh & interesting. The story never strays away from its focus on Kia’s growth & the world of Piano, does drag a bit in the end but with a satisfying end it was all good. It shows different reasons and views of people playing the Piano, the story try’s to turn all negativity into positive, a heart-warming read.

The art is mediocre but complements the story perfectly. Although I have no idea of Piano or classical music, it portrays them beautifully.

I have never this excited again for reading a music genre manga. more over this is about a pianist which I often found it boring after several early chapters.

take a glimpse of what it like here:

Ichinose Kai, an elementary school boy, born to this world without knowing who is his father. With a mother living as a prostitute and being brought up in a junk neighborhood, playing an abandoned piano in a nearby forest is his only refugee. This piano no mori silently guiding him to open a broken-hearted-once-a-world-class pianist eyes and helping him to open his own eyes too.

unlikely dialogs mixed with several quite rude words, simple childish-look drawings, piano no mori is a music for your eyes.

Ceritanya ada anak yang bisa memainkan sebuah piano yang sudah rusak. Anak itu tinggal di pinggir hutan, di kawasan lokalisasi

Yang bikin suka sama cerita ini ,
Perseteruan Kai sama guru piano nya, Ajinosuke
