Loving Dangerously, Book Three

Jess hates aliens. After the invasion that destroyed Earth, the extraterrestrial bastards sold her to a brothel as a sex slave. She may have escaped but the old memories and fears still linger in the dark corners of her mind. Supposedly Sonis is just the place for her—somewhere safe, where she can heal and start fresh. She’s almost hopeful…until she meets Rasha, her new boss.

Rasha, captain of the Sonis Royal Guard, is a warrior through and through. He’s huge, sinfully sexy and could have any woman on Sonis—but the woman he wants is Jess. He’s very much an alien and Jess knows she should hate him or at least be wary, but whenever he’s around, she loses control. She tells herself it’s only sex—amazing, mind-blowing sex like nothing else she’s ever experienced—but there’s something about Rasha that shakes her soul. The feel of his skin against hers, the look in his eyes as he touches her—they make her want to believe it’s possible to find love and begin again.

I read these backwards (reading Dangerously Yours third) and I am kind of glad I did because in Dangerously yours I thought Jess was so self involved even with her past I felt she was self indulged and self absorbed. In this book I thought she was kick a$$ and again glad I read this one first because I think I might of been a little tainted if I read #2 first. I could not believe it was the same Jess in the the other story.

It seems like my every review of books from erotica genre is starting with the disclaimer that I am not a regular reader and as such just exploring the genre and this third part of the series follows the story of Jess from the second book who is trying to start a new life on Sonis with the help of Eva and JB she is trying to move ahead in life. Now this is an erotica and as such there are sex scenes here but the best part I liked about is that the author stayed true to the character of Jess and rather that unnecessary sex scenes the most of the story is dedicated to Jess's recovery and her perspective. So yeah this is erotica where not much of sex is going on but overall it was nice and the story flowed logically.

I also liked the character of Rasha and his cluelessness about the human females :).

I might continue with the genre later but this is time to take a mighty challenge and so next I would be starting the high fantasy series Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan and since there are 16 huge books in the series next few updates would be about these books and maybe some other books here and there. But let's return of the book which I am reviewing here. It was very nice and I really liked it.

So yeah if you want to explore the genre do come along this is Sci-Fi and Erotica rolled in one and both are given importance. So pick the first one and move forward in the series.

People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I love to read everything except for Self Help books but even those once in a while. I read almost all the genre but YA, Fantasy, Biographies are the most. My favorite series is, of course, Harry Potter but then there are many more books that I just adore. I have bookcases filled with books which are waiting to be read so can't stay and spend more time in this review, so remember I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

OK, SO I have to admit when I started reading DANGEROUSLY HERS BY A.M. GRIFFIN I was kinda scared. I thought .. "Shit! It's an alien book!" But it wasn't one of those creepy alien books.. It did skim on some things that had happened when Earth was taken over... That honestly DID MAKE ME SKEPTIC. BUT OMG OMG was this book freaking hot!! I mean it is a panty dropper!
I loved the banter between Jess the human and Rasha the droid/alien. I loved that even though he oozed sexuality and Jess wanted no part of it. "IS SOMETHING WRONG?" "LISTEN BIG GUY, I'M HERE TO WORK. NOTHING MORE." "I'LL NOT ASK YOU TO DO ANYTHING YOU DON'T WANT TO DO." "I KNOW WHAT YOUR THINKING AND FYI, I DON'T WANT TO DO-THAT- EVER-WITH YOU." The sexuality from this book was off the charts I am telling you.. You are gonna you boyfriend/FWB/hubby/ or BOB handy because you will be aching!
"I CAN SMELL YOU." Then he let his gaze fall to her crotch. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" "I CAN TAKE CARE OF THIS...YOU." She dug her nails into his shoulder blades. Should she push him away or keep him where he was? He made a sound so animalistic, so hot and sexy it made her pussy respond in ways she didn't want it to. "THAT'S IT." He sniffed into her. His fingers worked in unison to massage her ass, all the while pulling her into his face. She tried to stand Her ground even when she rocked to her toes. He looked up at her with eyes smoldering with heat. "CAN I DO IT JESS?" "DO...DO WHAT?" "LICK YOU UNTIL YOU COME." "I WANT TO TASTE YOU. I WANT TO BURY MT FACE IN YOUR PUSSY. I WANT TO...TO.." Growling, he bit her.
NOW if that doesn't burn your panties off! Holy smokes Batman! Ladies this is an AUHMAZING book. If you aren't into these kinds of books like me.. TRUST ME A.M. GRIFFIN will make you a believer! Go and get this HOT HOT HOT book! I MUST give this book 5 STARS!

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

At some point in the future, earth fell, conquered by extraterrestrials. Humans were killed or placed into servitude. Jess, once a capable young business woman, endured the horrors of a brothel. Her will was stripped from her by otherworldly hallucinogens, and not only was she forced to perform and endure horrific acts with various alien species, she was made to believe she enjoyed them. Dangerously Hers starts a few years after Jess’s traumatic experiences in the brothel. She’s a spirited survivor, though still recovering, and is slow to trust. Enter a hunky, golden skinned warrior, and smexienss and drama ensue.

The heat level in this novel is off the charts HOT. That being said, the characters fall together physically early on in the story. I wanted to be teased a bit more, to feel that delicious tension that brings me back to romances again and again. Though I must admit, the angst after their first encounter kept me clicking pages. I also craved more universe building; to me the point of Sci Fi is to become immersed in the sights and sensations of space and other worlds. Dangerously Hers offers some descriptions of the political climate, the fall of earth, and the planet Sonis– but I wanted more. Perhaps this is what I get for diving into the third book of a series; likely the first book more fully addresses these things. Despite these areas of critique, Ms. Griffin has created an erotic, engaging tale. Well worth an afternoon’s read.

Three and a half stars.

I don't normally read sci-fi, but this book landed on my desk, and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The characterization is excellent. The plot was interesting, and the sci-fi elements not difficult to follow. I was sorry I hadn't read the other books in this series first because it referred back a lot which was a little confusing. However, this author does an excellent job. If you're in the mood for some hot and steamy, don't waste your time on the Gray series. Pick up a book by A. M. Griffin.

A great book, I couldn't put it down. An amazing tale set on a far off planet but a story of how love can conquer all. Definitely worth a read. I can't wait for the next instalment.

Jess's happy life turned into a nightmare the day the aliens arrived on Earth kidnapping many and leaving everything else in ruins. Her father died during transport leaving her alone and subjected to life in a brothel, forced into performing for an endless number of aliens. She was able to escape but the emotional scars remain as she's scared of being around aliens and carries the guilt of the acts she was forced to commit. She knows other people regard her as trash and that she would've disappointed her family because of how her life turned out. She now has the chance to start over on the planet Sonis working as an assistant to an alien who's sexy, makes her heart pound, and makes her hormones rage to where all she wants is to get him naked. She's a strong-willed woman struggling everyday to put her past behind her. She wants to learn different fighting techniques so she'll never be vulnerable again and butts heads with her new boss to get him to agree with her. She's a tall woman with few curves and will never be seen as overly feminine which is fine by her as it too is a sign of weakness in her mind. Just when her relationship with Rasha seems to be heading in the right direction a woman's petty jealousy has Jess running from her intense feelings and puts her life in jeopardy once again.

Rasha was brought up a warrior so dealing with feelings and the wooing of women is confusing to him. It's sweet and endearing watching him navigate the rites of romance as he's incredibly large and intimidating in his nature. He also exudes sexuality and enjoys the act of lovemaking turning it into an art form. His current relationship is becoming unsatisfying and being reunited with Jess gives him the jolt he always knew he'd get when finding his mate. He uses unrelenting flirting, his sensual and smoky voice, and drool-worthy body to slowly win Jess over. Through words and actions he shows her that she's a female of worth, unsullied by her past. He becomes the protector she needs but didn't know she wanted. I found him utterly delectable and their relationship is a fun battle between the sexes to watch.

The worldbuilding isn't as thorough as I'd hoped for a sci-fi book, but as this is the third installment in the series that's to be expected. Much of the visuals of this world likely came before and is a great reason to pick up the previous books (not that much encouragement is needed as this story is delightful). There's a small cast of colorful and entertaining secondary characters who have been seen in the previous books and it's nice to see how they're faring. I'm particularly intrigued by the charmingly funny and sexy JB, a friend to Jess who has seen her at her worse and continues to support her in times of emotional confusion. He's a player and irritates the other males of Sonis as he dallies with the human women sent there to find mates and keep the planet from becoming extinct. He deserves a HEA of his own and a hint is given of who he might end up with courtesy of his caring and supportive nature. The relationship between Jess and Rasha evolves quickly but it just feels right. Their banter is witty and playfully sexy with sexual encounters that are off the charts smokin' hot. They're very equally matched both in and out of the bedroom and I was rooting for their HEA every step of the way. The only misstep I found was the soap opera-ish roadblock that Rasha's former lover created. It was stereotypical and over before it started with the ramifications quickly resolved as well. All of this made for a slightly rushed ending that marred my enjoyment only slightly. The protagonists more than made up for any lacks in the storyline. They thoroughly entertained me and kept me fully immersed in the story. All things considered, I'm now fully engaged in this series and plan to pick up the previous books and count down the days until the next!

To prepare properly to read Dangerously Hers by A. M. Griffin, might I suggest, a fan, some smelling salts and a good lock on the door and a cold shower after, if necessary. Expect to NOT to want to be interrupted, unless it is a tall golden alien at the door. Between the pages of melt-down sex, there is a great story, lots of bickering and bantering, a few chuckles and two main characters that are completely likable and even endearing sometimes. Jess has been abused, mistreated and forced to do unspeakable things, as a slave in an alien brothel, freed now, she is damaged, unsure of herself and fighting the attraction to her new boss, the super-hot, super-sexy, golden-toned and powerful warrior, Rasha, Captain of the Sonis Royal Guard.

Jess is smart, strong and the inner battle she has regarding Rasha and her desires is comical. Rasha tries to understand the human because there is just something about her that calls to him, too bad he often means well, but says the wrong things, or at least Jess takes what he says wrong. The back and forth verbal banter will make you smile as you wonder who will win in this battle of wills and the heart? Can Jess tame Rasha’s ego? Can Rasha sooth the damage done to Jess? Will she finally overcome her past or will another come between them?

I blush to say, A. M. Griffin can write in vivid detail! With a quick pace, great characters, and enough background interspersed into the story, this can be read as a stand-alone or as part of the Loving Dangerously series!

Every so often I get an urgent need to dip my toes into the sci-fi romance waters. It can often be hit and miss with the genre, but one thing I do know is the story has to be hot and passionate for me to enjoy it. I’m thankful to say Dangerously Hers didn’t let me down. The main character, Jess, is well-developed and someone that despite her unusual circumstances is surprisingly relatable. She’s been through some horrible things and she may lash out as a defense mechanism, but there’s a real woman who feels love and pain inside.

When she meets Rasha, she’s still dealing with a horrific past and has no desire to befriend any non-humans, much less get romantically involved with one. That doesn’t stop this hot male alien from trying, though. I really enjoyed Rasha’s willingness to go the extra mile in seducing Jess. They hit it off fairly fast, but there was still plenty of struggling before things settled at the end. I honestly loved watching Jess fight her attraction while trying to build a new life for herself.

The world-building is well done with this book and actually felt rather plausible. I haven’t read the other books that came before this one, but I never felt lost. The author gave enough information to help the reader get their bearings, yet there were no major info dumps to slow things down. She sprinkled the information in when the reader needed it, but otherwise got on with the story. Just the way I like it!

The only thing I could have wished for is more time to watch Rasha and Jess’s relationship develop. There was no denying their chemistry, as that was apparent, but I would have liked to see a little more depth in the plot. Rasha’s former lover as the main antagonizing force against them (other than Jess’s own reluctance) didn’t work for me. It wasn’t fully fleshed out and felt a bit shallow. Perhaps something involving his job or family might have worked better and would have helped give more insight into Rasha. Having said that, I still really enjoyed the story as a whole and was really glad to have read it.

A.M. Griffin has certainly gone on my list of “go-to” sci-fi romance authors. She knows how to spin a story that has action, humor, and a love that beats all the odds. For fans of the genre, this is certainly an author you don’t want to miss. Four whips for Dangerously Hers!

Finally Jess gets her story and not a moment too soon. Even though I don’t always like some of the female characters at first I always end up loving their books and can’t stop reading them. Plus the men in these stories are just too yummy to pass up.

First in all honesty Jess in the first two stories really got on my nerves. She was hateful to everyone and was not able to come to terms that aliens had run humans off of Earth. As a result I was not looking forward to reading her book however I knew she needed it soon or she was going to either get hurt or hurt someone else with her anger issues.

This is the second female character that I have not cared for during other books but when the book is written about her I end up understanding and liking her better by the end of the book. The author shows the vulnerable side of Jess in this story how she has anxiety attacks and why she does. I really came to understand her a lot better although I still don’t think she handled everything as well as she could have she still did come through it. I now appreciate and like her much better now. I think she will be an asset to the planet Sonis because she has a good head for business. Rasha was a great pair for Jess even though he is clueless about humans think, he really tried to be there for Jess and even made the effort to win her over and make her feel more comfortable.

All in all still a great series to get in too and read. I can’t wait to see who is the subject of the next book and who is the lucky one paired up with them.

“Dangerously Hers” by A.M. Griffin is an erotic science fiction romance that continues the ‘Loving Dangerously’ series that explores the aftermath for humans when a group of aliens known as the Loconuist conquer Earth. Jessica Moore has reinvented herself as Jess but still carries the scars of her time in captivity at a brothel. She has trouble maintaining her prickly defenses against the lusty male Sonis named Rasha, even though she should be intimidated because he is an enormous alien but her attraction is stifled by her inability to provide children, a goal greatly desired by those of his race. The question is whether she will be her own worst enemy or find a way to leave her past behind her where it belongs.

This spicy and imaginative science fiction story is an entertaining read but could use a bit more exposition as the abrupt shift between the poignant prologue and the subsequent events is a little disconcerting. It would probably be better to have read the first two novellas in the series in order to get a better background on the heroine but it was quite intriguing to get glimpses of the secondary characters such as the ubiquitous Ship and the determined queen Eva. I wasn’t quite convinced of the attraction between the main characters but I could certainly sympathize with Jess and the reason for her erratic behavior. A creative and entertaining light read.

I haven’t read many sci-fi books generally, but the idea of a romance/sci-fi really intrigued me. Dangerously Hers is the 3rd book in a series, and to be honest, that doesn’t matter as each book seems to concentrate on a different set of characters brought from the side-lines of the previous books – a brilliant idea in itself!

I really loved this book. I was surprised at how easy it was to slip into this alien world and fall in love with such foreign characters, and even the exotic setting itself. Jess was a beautifully flawed heroine who had been through so much already, and to follow her on her journey was a pleasure. I wasn’t sure about love scenes with aliens, but the author manages to make it just as acceptable as human/human scenes.

From a writer’s perspective the flow of the book was amazing and I actually felt myself drawn to reading this over other giving my usual time to my own writing (naughty author!) The descriptions were perfectly balanced and the spicy scenes were legitimately placed and executed.

The front cover is a little bland compared to the intricacies of the plot, however even an alien six pack is worth a wanton sigh from readers.

Overall I’d give Dangerously Hers 5 out of 5 stars – you have to read this book, whether you feel it’s your genre or not – just try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautifully written. I'm a true Sci-fi fan...I love all things dealing with space, new tech, beings from far off places...all of it the whole shebang. A.M. Griffin writes stories that are believable and when I read this book, it was like I could feel the sun on my face, warming my skin. I love when a story draws you that far in. I like that this series can be read by themselves.
Jess is a woman who has endured unbelievable abuse both mentally and physically. However, she was able to break free from her abusers by using her mind and her will to survive. Now, she's looking for an safer and quiet life to find her self. However, being around the very beings that abused you (even if they aren't the same ones) is a hard thing to deal with. She must find inner strength and peace to get the life she deserves.
Rasha is a man who wants open legs and closed mouths. He's hot, smart, and determined to get what he wants.
But what he wants may not want him back.
Both of them will have to overcome their preconceived notion about the other to find true happiness.

Full of action, sex, and learning how to live in a world you never thought you would after.
S/n note JB is hot!

Really interesting and emotional read. Loads of trigger here if you have suffered past abuse, might wanna pas this one up. Otherwise there is a lot going on and the brothel action is not too detailed, just a touch on the dark side.

Jess is a kickbutt gal, she totally owns her anger. Her attitude is warranted but she has great inner strength to help her overcome her backstory.

I was not in love with Rasha, he is more morally ambiguous than I usually like. But the big lug grows on you. I love an Alpha guy who works to fix his girl.

I liked the dynamic between the two and the story really flowed. It fits in well with the other books in the series. This whole post alien invasion Sci-Fi is very intriguing.

Hella steamy!! Plenty of hot and heavy action to make your girlie parts tingle!! Aliens as so sexy!!

Alpha alien Rasha starts working with Jess. An Earther who was kidnapped to work in an brothel. She escaped became a space pirate and then after her captain fell in love with an alien queen, Jess found her self a regular job.

Now I love the brass she has to call Rasha Gigantor and green giant (he's not green just huge) It seams that whenever he is near she just can't stop her sarcastic mouth.

Now it starts fast has a small slump and then really gets going again. Also, it has a true destiny bonded mates thing similar to paranormal books. I read it in one sitting and am looking forward to the other books in the series.

Hit or Miss🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🙄

Book 1, I really enjoyed. Rasha was more intelligent in book 1. In this book Rasha was an idiotic man-hoe. Eva has become a shady, obnoxious bitch and disrespectful to Rasha and Marcy’s situationship.

Jess is trash and I wish Marcy had beat her unconscious. Jess was enslaved in a brothel, does want to be consider a whore yet spread her legs to Rasha in 2.3 seconds every chance she gets.😐

The sickening arrogance of human females, Eva and Jess are nauseating, acting as if they are better than the other females is laughable. Eva, in book 1, was much more relatable. There is NOTHING appealing about Jess, she and Rasha are dumb, delusional whores who absolutely did Marcy wrong too.

Rasha and Jess deserve one another and are two of the most unlikable characters thus far. I hope that in one of the books lets Marcy shine and not consider such trash worthy of her time and energy.

This book is a frustrating and at times sickening read but it is well written and flows well. I personally did not like Jess and disliked the personality changes in Eva and Rasha. #TeamMarcy

I hope book 3’s characters are more relatable and likable. (Crossing fingers)

I have rarely met I book I did not like, with that being said, over all, I liked the book. I didn’t put it down and picked up another. I thought it could have been a little longer and explain more of the back ground on the main characters. Still up there if I would read another book by this author

Good story but grew disappointed with Jessica's character. She started so fierce and spunky and I missed that as the story progressed. Nice ending though.
