"So how do find perfect criminals?"
"Look at unsolved crimes?"
"I came to the conclusion that he had to be an existentialist of some twisted sort," the writer said. "Someone who does not believe in God or any kind of moral or ethical basis for life, someone who thinks there is no meaning to be found in the world beyond what gives to it."
Hooked in James Patterson's novel. Can wait to read the second book.

I wish I could give this an even higher rating. I have followed the Alex Cross series for 20 years and read every book in the series, but this one tops the cake!!! The absolute most shocking and emotional endings of all the books. My hats off to Mr. James Patterson, who may have written the biggest plot twist in literature history! I cannot wait to start the final book in the greatest detective series ever written!!!

This novel is extremely well written, grabs your attention immediately and never lets go. I hated to put it down. On the other side of the coin it is not my preferred type of reading, too intense, too graphic and too scary. The ending actually pissed me off as.....it doesn't end. Is there a sequel , I haven't checked that out yet. Alex Cross and his wife, both cops are trying to track down a kidnapper/serial killer and another psychopath. Good story but I just hate being left hanging.

Most intense read from Patterson I think I have ever read. The threats to Alex's family were intense. It made me feel like he would never get over his fears of losing his family. Looking forward to his next book to see how he comes back from the all that he feared in this book.

The book was a typical Alex Cross book except that the ending was different that other books. It was a good read and kept you wondering what would happen next.

I really hate books that don't end! I have to wait forever for the outcome!

However, this was a good book.

I like the Alex Cross series. I did expect it to end like that. All of James Patterson's books are very good.
