"Where can I take you, Mr. Savoy?"

That was how Remy Maison’s day began, not the glamorous world of guarding underwear from her creepy landlord on laundry day, but taking her brother’s place as driver for businessman Owen Savoy. And what was with this guy? Yeah, he’s hot and all, with eyes like melted chocolate and a lean, sexy figure she’d love to explore, but Remy’s never met anyone so rigid.

Owen has a list for everything. He’s planned the entire day down to the smallest detail. All Remy has to do is stick to the list, but she never follows the rules—there’s no freaking way. So why is she spending all her time looking in the rearview mirror, hoping she’ll make Owen’s next list?

Remy is sent to chauffeur Owen Savy--a sexy, young business man--since her brother, the usual driver, has a migraine and is unable to drive. He gives Remy a very specific list of dos and don'ts, because Owen is a bit...particular. He has his lists, and he most certainly checks them more than twice. Remy is his complete opposite and throws his entire day for a loop. However, Remy's interference in Owen's schedule, despite her brother's instructions, actually does him a favor. It also saves him a lot of time, so they go out for a day of fun. It's all fun and cute until she drives him back to his hotel and it gets awkward. That ending though, super cute!

I adored Owen! He's so uptight, but not in a stiff and stuffy way. I'm certain he has OCD, because he's the only person who loves lists and schedules more than I do. His uncertainty about being spontaneous was adorable, but at least he had it in him!
I loved it! Owen Savoy is the most adorable character I've seen in a while. Remy is her nickname. Just wait until you find out her full name. FANTASTIC!!! Wendy Sparrow has written a very complete short story. This book is a MUST read!

Gah! *wipes away happy tears* Stories like this are why Wendy Sparrow is on my auto-buy list.

Yes, it's a novella and short, but it's also funny, sweet, and fantastic. I literally laughed out loud several times, and many lines are priceless. The characters are both likable, and it's easy to see why these two fall for each other. If you're looking for a quick, charming read, check out this book.

(Full disclosure: I know the author on Twitter, but I purchased this book independently with no coordination.)

Obviously another early work but what Wendy Sparrow continues to do well is create a relationship between two people amongst serious uncertainties and second guessing and anxiety and then resolve it. That's when I enjoy her work, those internal stakes in addition to external, plot driven ones.

“I like things to be smooth and predictable.”–Owen

Remy’s using her day off to fill in for her sick brother’s job as a driver for Owen while he’s in town for the day. After all, they desperately need the money, and how hard could it be to drive around some rich guy? Well, when you’re vivacious and energetic Remy, turns out it’s pretty hard. Owen hates surprises, disorder, noise, and anyone touching his stuff. That is, until he meets Remy…

“Well, she might have to shake up his world then.”–Remy’s thoughts

This is a very sweet and cute romance that had me smiling throughout most of it. Told through Remy’s third person POV, we see a very anal-retentive Owen through her eyes as she fights her attraction to him. This is one of those instant and opposite attraction books that are so fun to read, because you know the one who’s a stick-in-the-mud will eventually get to let loose!

Although a quick read, the story is entertaining as we see exactly how anal-retentive Owen is and how Remy keeps accidentally setting him off, despite her best intentions. I love the part when he eventually caves and tries to live a little, although it was a bummer that Remy realizes that they don’t have much of a future if he’s only in town for the day (she’s a major flirt, but doesn’t do one-night stands or open herself up to unnecessary heartache).

The ending is wonderful, and I loved it! However, I didn’t realize that was the ending and was expecting to read more. I so wish there was an epilogue so we can see what happens in the future! I also wish we could have gotten to read some of Owen’s perspective, too, especially what he thinks of Remy and her spontaneous and fun ways. Luckily, he’s open when he wants to be so we do get to know some of his feelings.

Overall, this is a sweet and fun romance (low heat level but there’s sexual tension), and I’d recommend it to those who are looking for a light-hearted read. This is a 4.5 out of 5 for me!

Remy Maison and her brother Denny have a tough time making ends meet. They live in an apartment in a less than desirable section of town and have been broken into numerous times. The most recent break-in found Remy and Denny minus their rent money and being threatened with eviction from their sleazy landlord. As such, Denny can't miss the opportunities at his place of employment, as a chauffeur. So, when Denny awakens one morning with a migraine, he sends Remy, a massage therapist, to take his shift.

Remy's one job is to pick up Owen Savoy from the airport and take him everywhere he needs to go in the city. The beginning of the book reminded me of the movie The Transporter - Rule #1 -Never change the deal (oops, already did that by using Remy instead of Denny but later, Remy does the unthinkable to Owen - who is very particular in his ways). Rule #2 -No names (well, there are names but Remy isn't her full name and won't tell Owen what it is). Rule #3 -Don't open the package (Remy is given strict instructions not to touch anything that belongs to Owen-therefore, to open would be to touch, and Remy's not allowed to touch). Moving on from my really bad comparison between On His List and The Transporter......

Our main female lead is Remy. She is loud, outgoing, spontaneous, hates lists - and the exact opposite to our main male lead, Owen. He is very rigid, particular, and must have lists and he follows them exactly~absolutely no deviation! Well, Owen - be prepared to have Remy blow your perfect little world apart at the perfect little seams. The dialogue is smooth and everything about the book is realistic. As they say, opposites attract.

On His List is a very cute romantic comedy about uptight meeting spontaneous and it working out beautifully.

His uncertainty about being spontaneous was adorable, but at least he had it in him! In fact, it was his idea to go have a day of touristy activities. On His List is an opposites attract romance of epic proportions! As cute as it was, I honestly never felt that moment where Remy and Owen became truly into each other. They are very, very different, but somehow it ended up working. It was nice to see Owen step out of his comfort zone, but I would have liked just a little bit more of the two of them together. Their dinner was completely skipped and I think that could have been a good opportunity for some relationship development, since their first kiss was immediately after. As it is though, it's a cute little story.

Remy Maison is a free spirit that is full of excess energy and and a vibrancy that shines out over all who come to bask in her sunny disposition. Owen Savoy is the definition of up tight. Every moment of his day is scheduled. He doesn't like to be touched or have his personal items touched. Schedule and order are words he lives by. When Remy covers her brother's job to drive Owen around town for business she worried when her brother stipulates numerous time not to chatter and not to touch his things. Remy can't stand to sit still and the only time she can remember being quiet was at a funeral and then only for short periods.

Owen doesn't know what to make of Remy. She fidgets, she hums, she chatters and she touched him. When she applied lip gloss she enthralled him. He doesn't know how to act or what to say. He can't put her in a nice little compartment. She doesn't fit. She is unique and he wants her. Follow Remy and Owen through their day as Owens orderly world is blown away when he encounters the hurricane called Remy.

From the very first word I fell in love with "On His List". Wendy Sparrow uses humor and over the top dialog to bring you to laughter as you read her story. I wish had been longer so I could find out what happens next. I also hope Deny has a story of his own. Although while reading I would not be surprised if he and Owen have a lot in common. Thank you Ms. Sparrow for a delightful hour spent reading this novella. I enjoyed it tremendously.

This novella was totally adorable! Through funny and witty writing, author Wendy Sparrow made me fall for this story in just a short amount of time. My biggest complaint about it? I wish it were longer!

Remy is this free-spirited young woman. Even though life is hard at times for her, she has this overall upbeat, fun personality. Her voice was realistic, hilarious, sarcastic at times, goofy at others, and such a joy to read.

Owen on the other hand, not so much. He is a businessman who follows a schedule to a T. He likes things in order (preferably list form) and sort of gets freaked out if they aren’t. Even though he comes off as this control freak sort of guy, there were moments in this story in which he really surprised me. He would crack a joke or do something totally unexpected that made me think differently of him.

My favorite part about this book is that these two obviously have a connection even if this connection makes no sense. I guess what they say about opposites attract really rings true in this story. Their personalities are so different but in a way, they really compliment each other.

There were a lot of giggles and even some swoon in this short and sweet story. I say if you are looking for a quick laugh and a quick romance, you’d definitely want to check this one out!

On His List begins when Remy has to be a stand in driver for her brother because he's home sick. They both need this money so than can make rent by Friday, or they will get kicked out of their home. Remy is a disorganized, live in the moment, never sit still type of person, and she's about to meet her match in Owen.

He's Mr Savoy, the man she's suppose to drive around all day. But Remy never thought there would be a major attraction to him when she first sees him. And she also never thought she would like him either but as the day goes on these two seem to be surprising each other. Owen is constantly making a list for everything he does. He has to have everything planned out, and go according to plan. But when he meets Remy she takes his lists and throws it out the window figuratively and literally.. Now these two have to figure out where to go from here..

This short story about Remy, and Owen was hilarious. I laughed until the book ended it was that funny. Seriously the man makes a list for everything before he does it. And Remy is more of a go by the seat of her pants type of girl so it makes it a whole lot more interesting to see them together. Also the author did a perfect job of adding the sexual undercurrent, and each characters personality perfectly in the book. I really enjoyed it, and I would honestly like to see more of these two as well.

Posted on What I'm Reading

All right, I finished reading On His List by Wendy Sparrow. This story is super cute. You have Remy Maison who is filling in for her brother who happens to be a driver. Well, Denny ends up with a migraine and Remy has to drive Owen Savoy around. Owen tends to be a tad bit particular how things should go. Ok, he's a bit OCD.

Anyway. Remy, I would consider her a bit ADHD. I have my reasons to believe this, so she's stuck in a car with Owen who might be a bit OCD. Yeah, that makes a fantastic combination. However, somehow it all works. As they get to know each other Owen starts to relax around her. Every person has that go to person that seems to calm them down, Remy and Owen seem to do that for each other.

Overall, On His List is a really sweet little story. It's a feel good read that makes you smile at the end. So, if you are looking for that feel story that leave a smile on your face, you might want to give On His List a try.

On Hist List by Wendy Sparrow is a delightful novella! It is the story about Remy Maison, a sexy young woman that lives with her brother in a dilapidated apartment in a bad section of the city. They barely make enough money between them to make the rent. Remy is massage therapist that has a need for speed, and her brother is a limousine driver.

One day Remy has to fill-in for her brother when he develops a migraine and is unable to drive. So she picks up successful businessman Owen Savoy at the airport and off they go. As the day unfolds, they talk and begin to develop feelings for one another. His "to do" list does not include falling for Remy.

This is a cute, fun read! On His List is well written and the characters are well developed considering the constraints of a novella. I felt the connection between Remy and Owen immediately and truly enjoyed reading about Owen's idiosyncrasies. A day in the life of two lonely people turns into a promising future. You can't go wrong with this fast-paced gem!

Remy Maison was a massage therapist by trade and didn't have much money. She was sent in to chauffeur Owen Savoy because her brother was down with a migraine and couldn't drive. Owen Savoy was a wealthy investor and was a little OCD about organization and list making, until he came into contact with Remy. He's super sexy and a little naive about every day life because he's always got his nose stuck in the stock market. Remy Maison is a fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants kind of woman. She turned his life upside down in a good way.

I loved it! Owen Savoy is the most adorable character I've seen in a while. Remy is her nickname. Just wait until you find out her full name. FANTASTIC!!! Wendy Sparrow has written a very complete short story. This book is a MUST read!

Remy and Owen meet serendipitously. That's perfect for spontaneous Remy... but a little crazy for organized, structured Owen. Little does Owen know that he's going to fall hard for Remy, and loosen up in the process.

On His List is a cute, romantic novella filled with flirtation and double entendres. Even though I am more of a list-maker myself, it was fun to see Owen want to relax and enjoy the insouciance that Remy brought to the table.

My favorite part was the end, when Owen did the most spontaneous thing in his life -- all for the sake of love -- and then showed how he still stayed true to himself by making the ultimate romantic list. Even Remy swooned.

3.5 stars for 77 pages of flirtatious fun.

I absolutely loved On His List. It was an amazing feel good romance with characters that jumped right off the pages. Remy was just sassy and mouthy enough to make her believable, and Owen's little "quirk" with lists was just adorable. I loved how they interacted, and their conversations are some I will go back to over and over. When they first meet it seems like a disaster, but soon it's clear that they are perfect for each other - each with their own crazy ways that seem like complete opposites at first. This is a must read for anyone who loves a good quick romance. - See more at: http://hotofftheshelves.blogspot.com/...

This was a cute story and I enjoyed reading it. It’s a quick read, it only took me about 45 minutes so it would be ideal as a lunch hour read. It is well written and flows well. I love how Remy and Owen are such total opposites and yet they feel drawn to each other. I really enjoyed watching their attraction grow as the day progresses. This was a sweet story about finding someone when you least expect it and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a sweet, light, quick read. Brilliant, hilarious, intelligent. Packed with romantic suspense, sexual tension, and comedy. This is one hell-of-a-fantastic read. One laugh-out-loud moment after another as you follow the fortunate, misfortunes of Remy--stuck with her brother's car detail--as she clambers her way, in her gorgeous high heels, into LUV with the adorably stunning control freak Owen-The-Rich-Rich-Boss-Guy........ I totally fell head-over-heels myself for the stellar cast and the charming, CHARMING.... cute--yes! Cute--story.

This book was recommended to me by my sister.

It is a quick read, one you can finish in a few hours. This story is so simple yet nothing new. It's the usual Rich guy, poor girl story and how they are really attracted to each other but wait a minute! There's a status quo !!!!

It is a little funny, but I loved a certain page with a certain list. And I love the name Savoy and I really dig the end.

I`m happy the author loves to write stories with happy endings. :)

So, this was another really short book, but so cute! I LOVED that it was set in my hometown of San Francisco (even though a few details were wrong), I really liked Remy and Owen, I didn't know that the author had OCD, and i didn't know Owen did either. I just thought he was odd. Since the book was so short, I would love to read more about these two!

A quick read with likeable characters. Remy takes a job in her brother’s place when he develops a migraine and can’t drive when he’s on medication. He gives her instructions to follow to the letter. The client name is Owen Savoy and he’s a list man and a kind of by the book type fellow. She gets to know him on their journey and when it’s over they decide to get to know each other better. It was a nice story pick it up, if you like short and sweet and you’ll definitely enjoy it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fun meet-cute romance. Though short it was satisfying; with complex characters, well drawn, and a happily ever after journey, that was also a bit quick. I understand the time constraints of the format, but his was truly whirlwind. I suppose in Wendy Sparrow's world, when you know, you know. All I know is that his was a great read and i will look for more from Ms. Sparrow.

Short and sweet. A one-day chance encounter is the beginning of (hopefully) a beautiful relationship. Opposites in a lot of ways, Remy and Owen have an attraction that can’t be denied. This novella details their first meeting and hints at what may come. No deep forays into the past or deep thoughts as to what the future might hold. A let’s take it one day at a time type of story.

A super-sweet short romance that revolves around Remy, a seat-of-her-pants massage therapist who's subbing as a limo driver for her migraine-afflicted brother, and Owen, a strait-laced business man who's got a schedule to follow, literally!

Of course, Wendy Sparrow has them conflict, confer and come together in a wonderful short romance that takes readers all over the Bay Area while their relationship simmers and stretches out from one day to maybe forever!

This story was exceptionally cute and I loved the differences between OCD Owen and free-spirited Remy. Novellas rarely provide enough time to do the characters justice but I think the author managed to cram in a lot to this book and it didn't seem rushed.

Loved the idea this novella presents, but I felt it lacked the chemistry between the characters.

The character of Remy read a little bit childish and we never got to really know Owen, so the connection between the two of them felt a bit forced and coming out of nowhere.

I don't know, I just wished it had been 'more'.

Awww! This was a super sweet novella with a list-loving OCD hero. (Who also probably wrote the cutest love letter/list I have ever read before!)

I absolutely loved it. :) And then I was super surprised and blown away to see my name in the acknowledgments! Wendy Sparrow is so often my hero and inspiration, specifically with dealing with OCD, so that meant a lot to me. <3

Geek boys with quirks are definitely one of my fave type of Hero's and Owen Savoy definitely has his fair share. For me that made him very endearing and Remy didn't take long to be suckered in by his charms either.

Short and sweet. So often I read romances where it's the Shero who is uptight and needs to loosen up. It was great fun to see that turned on its head. Best line ever "I'd rather be shanked than not see her again."

I found this hard to get into and not being able to get a full feeling from the characters, I liked the blurb about the book, but the book it's self did not interest me. I am glad to have been given the opportunity to review this and to have least read it.
