Demons of Infernum #4

Call of the Siren

Rate this book
When darkness threatens...only love will bring them light.

The half-siren half-demon bounty hunter Dagan Meyers swore he'd never settle down. His older brothers might’ve adjusted well to family life but tying himself to one woman is so not Dagan’s bag. Until he meets the gorgeous angel Lina, his brother Ronin’s long-lost adopted sister, and he can’t think of being with anybody but her. Too bad Ronin’s well aware of Dagan’s party-boy lifestyle and won’t let him anywhere near his angelic baby sister.

Lina is still getting over the abandonment issues that began when she was orphaned as a child and has devoted her life to taking down evil Otherworlders. The last thing she wants is to develop feelings for man she knows will eventually leave her, too. But as the battle against a growing darkness continues—a powerful fae who’s harnessed untold power—Dagan and Lina find that love may be their greatest weapon against the very thing that threatens to destroy them all.

I always hate it when one of my series that I follow ends and this is no exception. The Demons of Infernum might be a poor title for this series but the stories from it have been exceptional.

In this finale the dark fae who has been behind most plots after book #1 is about to have all his plans come to fruition and all he needs is the 4 brothers to complete his plans, too bad plans have a way of falling apart around these brothers.

The romance between Dagan and Lina which we saw a bit of in the last novel come to a scorching conclusion in this last story but the romance is just a part of the ending of the overarching story that has been part of this series.

We will see all the brothers in action and some of the other characters that have been part of this series all come together in the climatic conclusion of this series.

The fact that they brought back their nemesis father to add to their troubles is a good piece of closing the door on the series and it all works together exceptionally well.

The only reason I did not give it a 5 Star review was that between the 60-80% mark of this novel is got a bit slow and I scanned a bit to get back to the meat of the story (and missed nothing of any importance) so it would seem the book should/could have been shortened a bit with no loss of story since the ending was epic, plus it has a very nice epilogue that ties up a few loose ends and gives us a nice warm feeling.

4.3 Stars and rounded down for this last installment but I still consider this a 5 Star series overall and recommended reading.

I've really enjoyed this series and it was with bittersweet feelings that I began the final book, Dagan's story. All the brothers have had their chance at love and the adventures that the whole family have shared, but now it's the siren demon youngest brother who gets his turn and not just with anyone. He's met his match in Lina the cold, tough angel mercenary. This one builds up the intensity so that it is all on the line and everyone must bring their A-game for even a chance against the powerful force aligned against them.

Things jump in with Keegan sending Dagan to a bar to hunt out clues to the location of the dark fae who is amassing strength and power against the council and arranged for the escape of their dear evil dad from the inter-dimension prison. Dagan gets sidetracked by a pretty fae, but then feels shame when Ronin's adopted sister, Lina, catches him in the act when he was supposed to be doing his duty. He knows he has a problem avoiding his problems with sex, but until Lina, he didn't curb it. Now he wants to do better. He is so strongly attracted to her and it hurts that Ronin has to warn him away because of his track record. The night isn't over and he ends up back to back with Lina fighting off a group of mercenaries want to kill her.

Lina has been numb for a long time and has leaped into danger without a thought because for the longest time she has had a death wish. Now, there is the presence of Dagan. She resists, but still there is that pull toward him. Dagan won't let her be and she sees a side of him she wasn't expecting when he really cares after she is injured in the fight and when an unwelcome person from the past suddenly appears dragging her memories open so that the pain he caused resurfaces with a vengeance.

Things get intense as Belpheg's plotting moves forward. He can almost taste that his revenge against the council that destroyed his people is near, but with all the power strumming through him he has to act faster and keep the ambitious Mammon in his place at the same time. He will use the adopted sister of Ronin as bait and then he will have the demon brothers right where he wants them.

The Council mistakenly decides that Belpheg has only been successful because the brothers helped him so now they are forcing them to go into hiding to avoid being sent back to Infernum while Mammon runs loose and their women are left on earth unprotected. They have to find a way to catch the dark fae and prove their innocence.

Lina believes her past will drive Dagan away and Dagan struggles to feel worthy of the angel. The danger Belpheg represents makes Dagan decide to stop worrying about disappointing his brother and just go with his desires for Lina, but then they learn that Mammon has taken Keegan and Brynn's baby and he is with the powerful dark fae, Belpheg. They pull in the whole family and all their allies to go after the baby and take down a power that they really don't stand a chance of winning against.

The plot on this one had many story threads going on and just as many narrators. It could have gotten confusing, but I did fine keeping up. I enjoyed the interplay between the family members particularly the tension between Ronin and Dagan because of Lina. My favorite part of the series has always been the brothers themselves when they are together fighting, laughing and having each other's backs. I enjoyed the fight scenes too.

While I enjoyed the romance and I liked Dagan and Lina for each other, I really didn't feel the romance so much. I think it was because it was tucked in amongst everything else going on. In fact, the time in the middle when their relationship moved to the bedroom just dragged for some reason. I was more interested in their individual growth as they both had to deal with their pasts. Lina made some mistakes that got her in a bad relationship and into drugs along with costing her a child. Dagan was still struggling under the mental games and abuse his dear old dad inflicted so that it has taken him years to figure it all out and heal. I liked how they were there for each other to listen and help each other talk through things. Now, not to say these two didn't steam things up, because they did. It was just that I valued the friendship in their romance more than the passion because they were such damaged people.

This was a great grand finale in that the big climax at the end was truly dangerous and iffy for the winning team and that epilogue wrapped things up neatly. I loved that big family scene at the end- just as it should be since the brothers and family is the heart of this series. I'll really miss this series (though I wouldn't mind if Rage got a story, hint hint!).

I would recommend this series for Paranormal Romance lovers who enjoy a nice bit of creative world building, engaging main characters, strong plots and challenging romances. My thanks to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this one in exchange for an honest review.

Sometimes I think Lina surprises herself with the thoughts she has, "when it had struck her that she was watching another woman jack Dagan off, her stomach had turned and a sour taste filled her mouth. She'd jerked her gaze back up to his face, and the chagrin in his eyes broke her out of her shocked daze." I mean even the stuff that comes out of her mouth even surprises her, "and yet, somehow, you ended up with some bimbo's hand stuck to your di**. Is that part of your cover? 'Cause if so, it's a damn good one." She bit her lip as soon as the words escaped her mouth. Could she possibly sound any more like a jealous shrew?" She's also the type of girl that knows how to voice what she wants and what kind of man would Dagan be if the boy didn't do as he was told, "I want to see you," she gasped, tugging the hem of his shirt up. He wasted no time in helping her slide it over his head, carelessly tossing the shirt to the side." I loved reading this story, it intrigued me and kept my attention.

Do you have any idea the number of books I have in my TBR pile that are the end of one of my beloved series? They have a tendency to languish there because if I don’t read them, then series never ends. Irrational I know, but then I am a bit odd. I have been waiting for Dagan’s book for YEARS!!! We even had a brief moment during an interview once. Dagan is my DUDE!!! And I love these demons, but , but , BUT……. THIS IS THE END! Arggggggghh!!

Notes to self:

Interesting read. There were a lot of characters in this book that were from previous books in the series, and I didn't feel lost while reading. But I do think that having read the first three books would have enhanced my reading experience.

Action sequences were very descriptive.

More to come.

Oh no it's the last in this simply fabulous series and I for one still want more. The Demons of Infernum series has charted the antics of four brothers who are all demon hybrids and it's been an amazing journey. Fans of paranormal fiction with more than a dash of romance really need to read these books but please please do so in order as there's so much going on that it would be a shame to miss even one sentence.
Dagen is part Siren part demon and all man. He's previously been working as a demonic bounty hunter with his brothers but when they recently disobeyed the Councils orders the brothers became a target themselves! Determined to finally apprehend the powerful Fae who has been evading them Dagens more than a little distracted by the angelic Lina but as she's his brother Ronins adopted sister she's off limits , isnt she? Even if Dagen could persuade Ronin that he's worthy of Linas affections he still has to convince her that his feelings are real and Lina is proving to be a tough sell! Unfortunately for Dagen he's not the only one interested in Lina and as her past collides with the very real present it looks as if a showdown is inevitable. Suddenly it's not just a race to find the evil Fae it's a matter of survival. Dagen is about to face his own nemesis and will need all his strength as the final showdown begins.
I've loved these books and would be hard pressed to decide which story was the best. Yes each book is a romance but there's just so much world building going on that the reader is left speechless. Fast and furiously paced and definitely never a dull moment . Written with a style and panache that just transports the reader into the story I cannot praise this series highly enough.
The hero of this book Dagen is one hot guy but the author cleverly puts us in his head at times and we get to live through the events that have helped shape him. He reaches a shattering conclusion but bravely faces it head on. The heroine Lina is flawed and I liked that. She's suffered tragedy and although might have been weak in the past has rebuilt herself and come out fighting. This story saw other members of the family being placed in grave danger too and it's a monumental battle that concludes this book. I will miss these brothers and I am already screaming for more as the author introduces a character about halfway through who surely must get his own book! Please Ms Lario you really cannot leave your loyal readers like this! A spinoff series surely must be forthcoming I hope.
This was an exciting conclusion to a series that I heartily recommend . If you love kick ass heros, action and romance you won't want to miss these demonic brothers.
Four and a half and it's fabulous

In the exciting conclusion to her Demons of Infernum Series, Rosalie Lario delivers. Each book has been a gradual build and in Siren it explodes.

Lina has had the rug pulled out from under her several times in her life. First when her Angel parents died, then when her beloved foster brother disappeared, the her foster mother and most of her Angel community dies of a plague. And finally when her daughter died in her arms while her stoned out of his mind bondmate used the money for her medicine to buy more drugs. She has finally escaped her past, kicked the drugs and lives on the edge as a mercenary. The last thing she ever dreamed of was to find her beloved brother, alive, happy with his brothers and in love. All efforts to keep him at a distance seem impossible. Add to that, the fact that his Romeo of a brother seems to set her on fire.

Siren-Demon hybrid, Demon Hunter Dagan Meyers is happy just the way he is. His brother's may have fallen hard but not him, he plans to remain single. But one look at his brother's adopted sister and he is lost. Too bad big brother has put up the "touch my sister and I'll rip your head off" sign. Now if he can just keep that in mind every time she walks in the room. The family has enough going on, Dear old dad has escaped and the demon council actually thinks they might be in league with him..

What a fabulous end to this series, the Dark Fae that has been siphoning off powerful demons has a plan. As soon as his circle of twelve is at full power he will be able to destroy the council that "eliminated" his clan. And using Mammon (good old dad) as his final piece. One of Demonkind's most brilliant scientists (before he tried to take over the world). Now all they have to do is lure in his sons and siphon their power. Too bad said sons have other plans.

Action, Romance, Loyalty, Corruption and Insanity..there is so much going on and Ms. Lario keeps surprising is right up to the end. An excellent book!!! Make sure and give this series a read.

This book is the fourth (and unfortunately last) in the Demons of Infernum Series by Rosalie Lario. This was quite a good read as a stand-alone book once I got the brothers straight in my head at the beginning.

This was Dagan's book - the youngest of the brothers and the one who was the most emotionally scarred by everything he endured and saw happen to his older brothers. I also think that he had not yet had the time or the motivation to process everything from that time and the effect it was having on his adult life. Meeting Lina in a previous book turned his head upside down because he began to feel something for someone other than his brothers and that confused him. He didn't have a clue what to do with those feelings so he did his best to ignore them especially when he realized they made his brother angry. Lina is the adopted sister of Ronin, one of Dagan's brothers. She was introduced in a previous book and she has been fighting against letting Ronin (and by extension the brothers) into her life and her heart so it hurts less when he/they leave - cause she is sure he/they will. Lina is an angel but certainly has not lived a heavenly life!

This book proves that sometimes life gives us what we need and not what we want, and often at a most confusing and difficult time for us. But it also teaches us that often the time when we think "this is the worst idea ever" is actually the time when we need to embrace what we have been given and fight to hang on to the life and the love we have in it. Because these things are worth fighting for - this is a theme that keeps recurring in her books for me and I LIKE IT!

I must admit that I - like most people out there - am quite sad to see this series go as this has been an interesting series with twists and turns and good guys and bad guys and the occasional difficulty telling who is who! And I have only read one novella and this book. I wish that I had read the other brother's books before this one - I have them I just have not been able to organize my life and my brain into the same time frame these last few weeks to get them read first. I guess the only good thing about that is this series is not yet over for me - I still have the other brother's books to read. YAY!

I received a Advanced e-copy of this book through the Entangled Review Program in exchange for an honest review.

I really loved this book, my only complaint is that it's the last in the series and I don't want to say goodbye to the brothers! It's hard for me to choose a favourite of the series but this one comes close to being a favourite! I love the updates on the other brothers and the major resolution they achieve in this book that was a long time coming for them!

I loved being in Dagan's head, it's interesting that he has music/songs constantly playing in his head though it makes a kinda sense with him being part Siren. I loved when he got his epiphany in the book regarding his behaviour with women. I hated seeing him and Ronin fight and while I kinda understood where Ronin was coming from I thought from the start that he should have had more faith in Dagan and not been so harsh towards him.

This book at different times inspired laughter and tears, there were funny moments with some of the lines thrown out but real tear jerker moments at many points in the book as well. It really had me hooked from start to finish. I also love the introduction of Rage (read the book to find out why ;-p ) I'd actually love for him to get a book or (given that this is the last book in the series) a novella like Cresso got, set after this book as I'd love to learn more about his story and how he progresses with the brothers!

I thought Lina and Dagan were well matched and helped each other heal, Lina had a tragic story since losing Ronin when they were kids and I was happy that she finally (with more then a little reluctance at first) opened up in this book and began to come to terms with her past. She's not completely healed but she's recognised that she deserves to be happy and made great progress with letting go of her past but with what happened in her past, the pain is never going to go away entirely but at least she's let the others in fully at last so she'll always have the support she needs!

I really love the developments at the end of the book too, they were a bit of a surprise and I think fans of the series will love them too! Really good book and great ending to the series!

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION’s Pack Alpha – Chelle:

Another awesome book by Rosalie Lario!

Call of the Siren brings the return of our sexy 1/2 demon brothers and their nothing-to-sneeze-at kick butt mates, introduces a new character that I am hoping against hope Rosalie tells the story of, and pits them all against the big bad in an epic battle with zombies, disembodied Council members, an epic battle and more. Plus.... it’s a sweet and sexy tale of true love on many levels. What more could you want!?

Call of the Siren has been rumored to be the conclusion to Rosalie’s DEMONS OF INFERNUM series (something I’m hoping isn’t exactly true), and each book has built more and more coming to a wonderful climax in this, the 5th (4th full length) book.

Our heroine, Lina, has not had the easiest life. She was orphaned, abandoned, got hooked on drugs, and lost a child. The last thing she ever expected was to start putting the pieces of her life back together. Fate is an interesting thing, however…

Our hero, half siren, half demon Dagan, is content being a playboy. Well, he’s content to do what is “expected” of him and wallow in his self-deprecating nonsense. When he runs into his brother Ronin’s adopted sister again that entire mindset changes. He can’t fight his attraction to her, and he starts to realize that maybe he does deserve a HEA like his brothers have. Unfortunately this little wakeup call comes at a terrible time, as the family is threatened with deportation back to Infernum, their sadistic father is still on the loose, and there’s a dark fae trying to take over the world.

Call of the siren was an incredible read. It had tons of action, lots of emotion, and plenty of intrigue, and kept me engaged and hooked from beginning to end.

I HIGHLY recommend this series! If you haven’t yet fallen in love with Rosalie’s hot, sexy, kick-ass, demon hybrid brothers, you absolutely must!

I was provided with an ARC for an honest review so here goes....
ANOTHER RED HOT WINNER !!!
For fans of Rosalie who avidly follow her Demons of Infernum series book 4 absolutley does not dissapoint !!.

Reading the other books in the series, I secretly had a soft spot for our leading male Dagan, and was keenly waiting for his book. Being part siren for me he had the whole "I'm a seductive guy who you just carn't resist vibe" perfected. But, I just knew he could be culled (so to speak) if he just met the right women (or should I say angel !).

Iolina's character as our leading lady was simply awesome. I equally love reading about soft, sensitive, vulnerable heroines within books BUT in this case I felt our leading lady had to have substance !!. I relished that Lina was a baddass, take no nonsense, I'm in charge tough chick. Even with all her awesomeness she still had a loving, warm heart.

I really enjoyed her struggling with her attraction to Dagan because of Ronin (adoptive brother of sorts....you need to read the other books to get the true details of their history) and I was literally chanting come on, come on, just go with it girl !!!!. Woo hoo in the end Dagan's seriously swoon worthy, demon gorgeousness could not be ignored !!!. Amen !

Seriously readers, there is an actual bloody good story within all of these books. Rosalie's paranormal books are not all about supernatural guy meets supernatural girl type of thing. Rosalie sets the scenes so well that in my opinion you really are there living all the drama along with the characters !!.

I cannot praise Rosalie enough, she is a fantastic author. Her books are action packed, romantic and overall provide in my opinion excellent value for money based on the high entertainment factor they offer.

If you have not yet read any of her books then PLEASE DO SO NOW - YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.

Thanks again Rosalie for the opportunity to review this book - 5 SUPA SHINY STARS !!!! I certainly will be eagerly awaiting more of your delicious book hunky goodness !!! Keep them coming !!!

The fourth book in the Demons of Infernum series is a mesmerizing read. Half-siren half-demon bounty hunter Dagan Meyers swore he would never settle down until the met the one woman that is off limits. Lina has devoted her life to taking down evil Otherworlders, the last thing she wants is to fall for a man. But as the battle against a growing darkness grows Dagan and Lina find that love may be their greatest weapon.

The fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of action, suspense, drama and romance. The author bring the story to life with well written scenes and details that inspire vivid images that capture the imagination and the battle and action scenes are well orchestrated and believable and gets the adrenaline pumping. The strong compelling characters are easily related to and grab the reader’s attention from the very beginning. There is a steady stream of spine tingling tension that builds throughout the story as the danger escalates from the dark elf, but also between Ronin and Dagan over Lina.

The attraction between Lina and Dagan radiates lots of intense heat from every page and the sex scenes are hot and steamy, but the relationship is on rocky footing as they both have issues from their past to deal with and the fact that Lina’s adopted brother Ronin has warned his man-whore brother Dagan to stay away from Lina really puts a crimp in the budding romance. Lina really captures the heart of the reader with her strength and courage to overcome the past as much as she has and gets caught up in her story emotionally.

I was totally engrossed in this thrilling and action packed story from the very beginning and found the author had quite a few twists that I didn’t see coming to make it even better and I was impressed with the action and drama of the Armageddon style battle. I fall more in love with these captivating characters the more I read and now of course new intriguing characters have been added to the group and I certainly hope there is more to come.

Take one half demon , a mix in a angel, stir in one powerful fae and you have one heck of a story. Call of the Siren is on fantastic story is fast paced, filled with great characters, romance all heading to one heck of an epic battle.

Dagan is one sexy beast. He’s not known for his ability to commit. Lina is a fairly tough angel. Both of them have family issues and are a bit messed up in the head because of it. As both their stories unfold Dagan’s daddy ‘issues’ seem fairly bad I definitely feel Lina’s trumps his. Watching them both work things out separately then eventually together is very touching. I enjoyed how all the characters work well with each other and despite not having read the previous titles, I had a sense of knowing them well. That is a sign of a good author…being able to jump into a series anywhere and feel you can relate to all the characters. When you have a good side there inevitably is a bad group of folks. Are what they expected? Not really and some of they had me cheering their final conclusions in the end. This paranormal fantic is more than happy with the epic battle and even happier with the HEA that Dagan and Lina get.

I’m jumping into this series on the last book. I wish I started it from the beginning because it ROCKS! Superb characters all the way around. You really can feel the connections they have with one another. All of Dagon siblings have had their own stories and yet author Rosalie Lario has done an outstanding job presenting them in such a way I don’t feel like I missed out on anything. However, I have enjoyed Call of the Siren so much I was to go back and start the series from the beginning. This is definitely a series worth reading.

I received this book from JeepDiva for the express purposes of an honest review. The opinions and rating of this review are solely mine and in no way was I compensated.

This is the 4th and final installment of the 'Demons of Infernum' series and it was fantastic! Now, you don't have to read the first three books in this series for this one to make sense however, I would defintely recommend reading them in order, if you can - it's just more fun! This time around, the story centered around the youngest sibling Dagan and his love interest turned out to be his brother Ronin's adopted angel sister Lina. You might think that this is an 'opposites attract' trope with a hunky demon (well, half-demon, half-siren)getting together with a gorgeous angel but, it played out very differently. They seemed like two peas in a pod to me. They both had horrific experiences in their past that left them feeling broken and unworthy of love. Both seeming to go through life on auto-pilot, not really living. It was amazing to watch them transform and grow, healing each other without even knowing it. Ms. Lario has written another incredible tale filed with fast-paced, heart-pounding action peppered with some hot, steamy goodness and has then balanced all of that with warmth, tenderness, and a dash of forgiveness. There were some poignant moments that will touch your heart and other scenes that will have you fanning yourself and wishing for more! I'm sad to see the end of the road for the brothers but, I feel like I'll be seeing them again...there seems to be a new member of their hybrid-brother party that is jumping up & down, screaming for some attention, just looking at his author for a story of his own. (Yes Rage, I'm lookin' at you!)

FTC advisory: I received a copy of this book from the author. No compensation was given for my review.

Call of the Siren is the fourth and final book to the Demons of Infernum by Rosalie Lario and it no doubt went out with a bang. Rosalie concludes this series with a epic fight scene and Dagan finally getting his happily ever after. I’m going to admit a head of time, I didn’t read in order in these series, but Rosalie does an amazing job on making it easy to follow on what happened in previous books with the other characters in the story. At least that is how I felt while reading this book, and look forward to going back to the other books I didn’t get a chance to read before reading this one.

Overall, Call of the Siren was a epic conclusion to this series and I’m sad to know that it has officially ended. I loved how Rosalie had everything come together because these brothers deserved some vacation time after what they went through with their leading ladies. =)

Be prepared for zombies in the story, fae trying to take over, and lots of fighting between the bad guys and the sexy demons we adore.

I give this book 4.5 moons and highly recommend this book and the series to paranormal romance readers out there.

Call of the Siren is the fourth and final installment in the Demons of Infernum series and focuses primarily on Dagan and Lina. Dagan is half-siren and half-demon who while working for the counsel as a bounty hunter has led a solitary adult life never believing he is cut out for love and family.
Lina dealing with her own abandonment issues, heartache, and guilt becomes a hunter as well devoting herself to taking down the bad guys. When their paths cross sparks fly and while unwise the attraction is undeniable. In the meantime the counsel of the Otherworlders seeking a scapegoat and the family is on the run.

This was a fun roller-coaster of a read with kidnappings, battles, zombies, and a crazy fae out to conquer the world. The world building, despite this being book four in the series, was very well done and the characters are fun to get to know and root for. The writing was clean and well executed with an ending that was very satisfying, left me with a smile on my face, and eager to go back and read the series from the beginning. I received this book with a request for my honest review without any compensation whatsoever, other than the joy of reading a new book.

I was given a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This book is outstanding! It has a little bit of everything romance, epic battles, kidnappings, dark mages, angels, hybrid demon children you name it this book has it! Dagan is one of Mammon’s many hybrid children being raise by Mammon was no picnic to say the least. Dagan has a bad habit of turning to sexual encounters when his own emotions become too much for him to deal with but he soon realizes he wants more and with only one person the one person he was told to stay away from. Lina’s life has been anything but easy she has suffered thru some horrific events that make her want to just give up on life and emotions of any kind. She cannot however deny the attraction and feelings that a certain hybrid brings out in her he makes her want to live again. There is a dark mage hell bent on getting revenge and will stop at absolutely NOTHING to get it. This is an epic book with so many integral characters that it would be hard to write more without giving away the whole plot of the story. If you enjoy a great paranormal read then this is the book for you .

Call Of The Siren, is the last installment of the Demons of the Infernum series. As such, I was presented with quite quandary in my effort to review this title, having not read its predecessors.

The story is a very good one. Full to the brim with fea-tastic family drama, evil plots, dastardly dads, and fiery passion.

The love story between Dagan and Lina is a real high point.

There are a great many lose ends that seem to be tied up in this book, and a number of characters who reappear to settle past issues.

This story as it is, is a very well written and easy to follow one. The characters are very well developed and have great interplay.

There is a lull in the action just after the halfway point of this read, but is a relatively short.

This is a very good book that must be read in serial succession.

It was with a touch of melancholy, that I closed the last page of this book.

Call of the Siren is the last instalment of the Demons of Infernum series, and was as exceptionally written as all that came before it.

A forbidden love, fear of survival and a final battle all served to make this a fitting finale to an amazing series.

However, with the introduction of a new character, I had hoped that there may be a fifth book on the horizon, unfortunately that is not the case; but the story was intriguing, emotional and definitely provides closure, so it was, as usual, an amazing read.

While saying goodbye to a favourite series is always difficult, at least the author didn’t leave us hanging, with storylines unfinished.

I hope you enjoy this story and bid the Demons of Infernum farewell with as much love, and a little sadness as I did.

3.5 stars = I liked it. I jumped right into this last Demons of the Infernum book but Call of the Siren still worked for me even without having read all the other brothers' stories.

Coming in late to the game I don't know how the steam factor of this compares to the other books, since this story has to touch up with all the past pairs while trying off the evil plot in the background and deal with deal old dad. But what was here was just enough and fortunately the author avoided the 'explosive' smex scene that would have had made me very unhappy with the starting pair.

There were some slow spots to Call of the Demon but I would definitely consider reading the other brothers'angry stories from the encore glimpses of them and their mates here.

Dagen is a hybrid seiren demon who is a ladies man. he has sworn he will never settle down. He has a lust for his Lina who is an mercenary Angel, but she is also his half brother Ronin's adopted sister. Ronin would not be pleased at all to see his fun loving brother with his adopted sister and has made this well known.Unfortunately Dagens thoughts are now all consumed of Lina. Now what can he do about it?
Lina also has an attraction to Dagen but isn't for sure exactly what she can do about it. She doesn't want to love someone who will yet again leave. They always leave.
They end up teaming up with Dagens brothers to defeat the dark fae. This dark fae has teamed up with Dagen's evil father.
Great book full of mystery, murder, and excitement with some romance and lust thrown in!

The story was great and the fantastic storyline is now at a close. Thank you Ms. Lorio, the characters in the entire Demons of Infernum Series were absolutely wonderful, by using your amazing writing style you enabled your readers to be drawn to them by seeing their weaknesses and their strengths, BUT, BUT, Ms Lario you cannot introduce a strong character in this last story, giving a small backstory (Rage) and a powerful elf (Tenos) both whom are extremely interesting and not give your loyal readers MORE !! A novella or a spin-off has to be in your thoughts. PLEASE!!!

Dagan is a demon hybrid, bounty hunter who is extremely sexy but doesn't think much about himself...Lina is a kick a-- fighter and the adopted sister of one of his brothers. They have been attracted to each other since they first met, but they both have a lot of baggage to work through.
There is a fight of good against evil, a kidnapping, a rescue, another kidnapping , and magic.
A lot is going on in this story, but its easy to follow and the characters are great...Lina and Dagan are fantastic...can't wait for Rage's story.

Good ending to a series.

Again I love this world. The brothers are amazing.I know this book is supposed to end this series but there are so many possibilities for more. The plot that was carried on throughout the four books is nicely tied up at the end and you even get a little follow up. Which I like cause you always wonder what happens after the big battle scene. I would hope the author would do more. I would continue to follow these characters if not in this world. Highly recommend series.

Received an ARC for review

No, please tell me this isn't the last book of this series. I'm sad. I have enjoyed this series and getting to know all of the brothers. This book was a great conclusion. Everything gets wrapped up and there is a nice epilogue as well. Can we please have one more book, .
