I write urban fantasy, paranormal romance and romantic suspense. Okay, and some space opera and post-apocalyptic menage as Dani Worth. I'm a lover of all kinds of romances! Some of mine (so far) are M/F, M/M/F and M/M.

Currently, I'm focusing on M/M romance because that's been my favorite for many years. I finally took the plunge in 2015 along with my good friend and co-writer, Jocelynn Drake. We are releasing long M/M romantic suspense right now (Unbreakable Bonds) and are already planning another series as well--possibly one that combines our love of MM romance with our love of urban fantasy.

I enjoy unusual stories and credit growing up in a family of curious life-lovers who moved all over the country. Books and movies full of fantasy, science fiction and romance kept us amused, especially in some of the stranger places.

I do get questions about the open series out. Beri O'Dell, Crux Survivors, The Kithran Regenesis and The Brothers Bernaux are unfortunately all on hold. That publisher is in the midst of closing so I don't know what will happen with them yet. Also, they weren't selling very well either, but I'm hoping I can self-publish the last of the stories in them at some point for the fantastic fans they do have. I'm sorry for the delay.

I’m represented by Miriam Kriss of the Irene Goodman Agency.

FORECAST is the thrilling, high octane, action-packed and danger-filled second book in Rinda Elliott’s Sisters of Fate trilogy. With a world battered by cataclysmic storms on the verge of destruction, an epic battle of the gods looming, and an unwritten prophecy with unlikely odds that speaks of a change in destiny, it is an utterly riveting story that is unputdownable.

Separated from her sisters for the first time, Coral Lockwood must not only find the boy she promised to protect, a boy who her mother thinks houses the soul of a god and whose existence could mean the end of hers, she has to survive the disasters that are wreaking havoc in Florida. With her home state in chaos, it is not an easy feat.

But it turns out that finding Taran Breen isn’t her biggest obstacle. Convincing him of who he is and of what the devastating events really portend is an even bigger challenge. And keeping him safe, when someone he knows was murdered and he’s being set up for their death, might be too much for her to her handle.

Especially since her abilities don’t allow her to see into the future like her sister, Taran’s temper makes him unpredictable, and whoever is out to get him may not be who she thought.

Rinda Elliott has created an absolutely enthralling and incredibly imaginative story with a lightning-fast pace and captivating and lovable characters that is a fascinating interpretation of Norse myth. She fills her story with exciting twists, deadly foes, awesome powers, world-ending catastrophes, nail-biting suspense and swoon-worthy and grin-worthy romance.

At under two hundred pages, FORECAST is a story that readers will blaze through in one sitting. It’s a story that will grab hold from the very first page and won’t let go until the very last. The modernization of the mythology makes it feel new and different, intriguing and original, and very relatable. And the promise of an intense, explosive and mind-blowing conclusion makes this book – and series – an absolute must.

While FORECAST can be read out of sequence, it is best read in order so as to have a better understanding of the sisters’ powers, the prophecy, the Norns, the warriors, Ragnarok and the threat that is their mother.

On the blog I gave this my 6-star off-the-menu rating.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE…
This sequel was awesome. Completely epic. Action-packed. A little bit super sexy, totally fun and so amazing. There was no sophomore slump. It was even more intense than the first book, something I didn’t think was remotely possible.

I loved the first book and its characters and I didn’t want to switch to another sister’s POV. But from the moment I met Coral I adored her. And the fact that Taran carried Thor’s soul and was able to channel his abilities was so freaking awesome. It didn’t take more than a second for me to fall in love with FORECAST.

I still cannot believe how much Rinda Elliott was able to pack into this novel, being that it was shorter than most YA stories. Nothing felt rushed or crowded. Nothing was left out. Of course I would have loved to read hundreds more pages about Coral, Taran, and a certain other god I won’t mention, but the story had it all – nothing was missing.

Blistering pace. Check. Incredible world-building. Check. Interesting, engaging, likable main and secondary characters. Check. Fantastic writing. Check. Clever dialogue. Check. Action and suspense and romance in just the right amounts. Check.

I instantly connected with this story, just as I had the first book in the series. I was immediately swept into this chaotic world that seems very much near end of days. I couldn’t wait to get to know just what was happening with Coral after having gotten the briefest glimpse of her story in FORETOLD. I couldn’t wait to meet Taran, especially since he was the hammer-wielding Thor.

Rinda Elliott is an absolutely brilliant and creative writer. She developed this world that, as terrifying as it is, I didn’t ever want to leave. She incorporated myth that’s fairly new to me, adding her own twist, made it even more exciting and intriguing.

There is not a single thing I would have changed about this story. Not one word. Every moment felt important to the story. Every action moved the plot forward. Everything kept building toward whatever the climactic conclusion to this series will be. And I cannot wait. Seriously. The wait is killing me.

This series is total top ten for me. It’s a forever favorite. It’s one of those series that stand out and will be remembered no matter how many books in the genre I read or how much time has passed.

So… yeah… this is a definite must read.

Absolutely bloody amazing! Grips you right from the start and the characters are soo deep they are almost 3D and the plot has as much twist as a whole wall full of celtic knots. Really, really, enjoyed meeting Coral and Taran....possibly a new dream book boy.... as this 2nd book is soo good I can see the final 3rd book will be utterly mind blowing! Rinda really is a sorceress with the way she ingeniously intertwines the complexities of Ragnarok and norse myths into a world that young adult readers can enjoy without being confused. Truly splendid writing.

Forecast is the second book in Rinda Elliott’s Sisters of Fate series. This is a series that follows three sisters, each ‘gifted’ with a Norse goddess’ soul. It is not a happy relationship, the sisters not wanting anything to do with these souls trapped inside them. But these souls are there for a reason: to take over the sisters’ bodies and minds and fulfill their destinies when the end of the world arrives.

Or is that really the case?…

Well, the end of the world is here…and it’s brutal. Rinda does not hold back here folks. If this is really how the end of the world is going to be, I want no part. But it does make for one hell of a ride! I found this book to be less action-driven than the last book but that does not mean it was quiet. There were still obstacles to overcome while running away from giant waves and crazy snow storms. In Florida.

Yeah…fun times.

On top of that, each sister has the ability to see the past, present or future in visions they can’t control. Very cool…but difficult to explain. The whole idea of the triplets and their abilities and connection to Norse mythology is all very fascinating. Rinda does a good job there.

Other than dealing with the end of the world, going into time-freezing trances in order to predict a time and the goddess trapped in their psyche, the sisters must each find a boy who has a god’s soul living inside them. You see, mom has gone a little crazy and thanks to a prophesy, thinks one of her daughters will get killed by one of these boys and has disappeared in order to find them…and kill them before they get to the girls. *insert dooms day music here*

Will the girls find the right boys? Are the boys murderous crazy-guys? Is the mom going to get to them before the girls? Will the end of the world keep happening putting the entire world in trouble? Will one of the sisters indeed get murdered? So many questions and getting the answers is proving to be ton of fun.

Where Fortold, book one, tells the story of Raven finding Vanir, Forecast follows Coral as she tracks down Taran. Taran holds the soul of Tor. Very interesting to see how the personalities mesh – the god and the boy. I love how the god or goddess’ personalities shine through the personalities of the person who is holding it. That’s a neat detail I appreciate. And I like how the god’s companions are there but underwent new twists. All very interesting details Rinda included in this series that I look forward to discovering.

Coral was a very good character. She inherited her mother’s witch powers and is learning how to use them. I liked seeing her grow more confident as the story progressed. The romance between Coral and Taran is very sweet and I find they balance each other very well.

In book one, Raven calls Coral and Kat (sister number three). We get glimpses of what is going on with Coral and Kat during those phone calls. It was neat to get the whole story behind the calls to Coral while reading this book and it will be equally neat to read exactly what is going on with Kat during the calls to her when Forsworn releases December 2nd 2014. I like that all three books take place at the same time and that the sisters will come together in the next book for the final battle. At least that’s what I’m expecting…

I love how different this series is. I really enjoy Rinda’s voice and her pacing is excellent. These are very quick moving stories and even with a little bit resolved at the end of each book so far, there is much left to discover and learn.

Forecast is an excellent continuation of the series and I am counting down the days until the third and final book comes out.

Ragnarok is in full swing and the prophecy is advancing quicker than the three years it permitted. While her sisters Raven and Kat have left to find their warriors, Coral has stayed behind to track down Taran, the warrior the triplet’s mother pegged for carrying Thor’s soul.

Regardless of the prophecy stating that one of the warriors will bring about the death of one of the norns, Coral must still keep Taran safe if there is any hope of stopping the end of the world. She finds herself inexplicably drawn to the warrior and the feelings are mutual. Add in the re-emergence of the triplets’ mother acting not quite herself, as well as Coral’s increasingly restless goddess soul, starting anything at this point seems a bit fruitless. They just have to survive to the end.

One of the biggest things to remember is that Forecast is running parallel to the events that are happening (or happened) in Foretold and I loved that we get the ‘other half’ to conversations that Raven was having in the first book. That being said, the things that Coral doesn’t yet know about her mother, or yet understand about her norn, readers already know. It was a little redundant reading about these revelations again, but you have to remember that Coral has yet to figure these things out. Rinda Elliott clearly understood this, as these things weren’t given as much fanfare as they were in Foretold. For all that the storylines are obviously linked, Coral does have her own adventure, and being the first time the sisters have ever been apart it’s a chance for Coral, the middle triplet, to really stand apart and depend upon herself and her knowledge.

Aside from having a goddess’ soul and all the inherent power that comes with that, Coral practices spells. This is something that Coral and her mother share, which makes Coral a more interesting opponent for what her mother has now become than either of the other two sisters. I look forward to seeing Coral flex her powers more in the final book.

With how varied and complex Norse mythology is Rinda Elliott did a great job of capturing the essence of Thor in Taran. I liked him from the start. He’s at once hot-headed with a slight bit of arrogance, but he doesn’t let this negate all sense. He’s strong and is learning to deal with some major power. For all this, though, he is surprisingly uncomplicated. He tells Coral exactly how he feels about her. He doesn’t mince his words, which I appreciate.

Oddly, I felt the lack of Kat in this book a lot. The story is definitely leading into Foresworn and the final confrontation, but Kat is only briefly mentioned throughout this book. I felt as though there was more balance in Foretold in keeping all the sisters’ presences flowing throughout the book. I can’t wait to see how Elliott plans on the parallel story lines finally converging. With the world hanging in the balance it’s going to be one hell of a showdown.

Ever since I finished reading Foretold, I just couldn't wait to get my hands on the next book, and when author offered me a chance to reading an ARC, I absolutely jumped at it!

As a huge lover of everything mythology and a slightly more recent convert of everything Marvel, specially their versions of the Norse Gods, this series has the main ingredients to become something I'd really enjoy, and this second book has not disappointed me at all!

Forecast is the story of Cora, looking for one of the reincarnated warriors that her mother is tracking down, and since we already got the all the main ground work of world building done on Foretold, here we expand more on it and we follow the story of Cora and Taran. Apparently the sisters each chose a would-be warrior at random, but I'm pretty sure fate must have been at play in there.

Even if we really didn't know much about was going on, during Foretold we were given a few hints about what was going on with Cora, and seeing the same phone calls relayed the other way around, helped me put together the timeline straight in my head much better.

This story is much more about Taran and Cora and both of them figuring out what is going on, for Taran to discover that his heritage and his mum insisting on getting him a custom hammer was not just being peculiar, and since we already know who's behind the threat, this book relies more on the characters than on the mystery driving the plot. We still do get a few susprises and revelations and a bit more information about what's going on and what might be the triplets role on stopping Ragnarok.

The pacing was brisk with plenty of action and tension, and despite meeting some completely new characters, we return to a familiar world, so we feel quite at home very soon. Both Cora and Taran were quite entertaining with their banter and the way they started to work as a team. Cora being a witch and her Norn being the one that saw the present had a different approach and way of dealing with the threats. Taran was quite a cheeky Thor, I kept on imagining him as a younger Chris Hemsworth, and that is quite a nice mental image to have throught the book!

The Norse mythology is threaded quite seamlessly in the plot and we get plenty of references to the different stories about Thor, his companions, his battles, his foes, and we also get a few new threats that be reference to either Avengers movies or the more classical Norse Eddas! We also got a few tiny hints to where the next book might take place and what new info we might be finding out about, but we really know very little about the journey that Kat is taking to find the warrior that she has to protect!

Well deserved 4 stars for this second book that is completely middle book syndrome free! Now I cannot wait for the final book, Foresworn!!

This was a great sequel, and I absolutely love all the Norse mythology in this series. Taran and Coral made a lovely couple. I guess the only negative I can mention is something that is a trope within YA fiction and that is a couple seeming to fall madly in love in only a couple of days. Other than that this was an amazing read and I really can't wait to see how the trilogy wraps up with Kat's story at the end of the year.

(I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review).

(This review may contain spoilers).

I think this trilogy, so far, is a good example of young adult books that I actually enjoy and find well-written, with romances that make sense and are given the time to develop.

The idea of the Norse gods residing inside humans' souls is quite an interesting one, though I would really like to know why it's those people in particular. I also really liked seeing the appearance of one of the Valkyries, though Mist's presence raised some more questions I would have liked to have answered.

I liked Coral as a character. She came across as really different to Raven and it was nice to see the link-ins with the previous book. I also particularly liked seeing Tanar's relationship with his father. I've become quite a fan of father-son relationships and brother relationships.

Speaking of brothers... I was particularly fond of Josh and Grim. When they first appeared in the book, I wasn't really sure what to make of them, but they really grew on me as the storyline went on.

I do find the relationship between Coral and her sisters and the Norns a really interesting one. And it was quite good to learn more about the triplets and their history.

It was also good to see more of the general magic, since Coral was the magic-user of the three of them. I also liked that the skills/abilities of the characters came across as quite realistic... at least in the world of the book.

There are still some more questions I had by the end of the book, but some of the ones I had after the previous book were answered in this one.

I do have the third book saved on my Kindle, ready to read. Having read the second book, I'm eager to find out how everything all ties together and what will eventually happen with Ragnorak.

I'm really enjoying the world in this book and learning about the characters. I like books with Norse mythology in anyway (and the references to the Thor movies were cool), but I do think these are pretty entertaining.

I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review.

Forecast is the second book in the Sisters of Fate trilogy based on the Lockwood triplets that are reincarnated Norse goddess. This book follows the middle sister Coral.

Forecast was definitely a bit more adventurous and dramatic for me then Foretold was. A lot more action and danger involved which makes for a great fast paced and enthralling read.

Coral is separated from her sisters and must find the guy she is sworn to protect. The thing is this boy holds the god that can end her life. Coral is very quiet because she's always been the middle of everything, but this book allows her to shine the way she should. She is just as determined as her older sister Raven and just as brave. I think Coral is my favorite sister of the three!

Taran is a very difficult guy and I'm still not sure if I like him or despise him. He holds the god Tor inside of him. Taran is more confused and lost than angry. I think understanding and finding out who he is will help him become a better person and deal with his "anger issues" better. Tor and Taran are two different personalities so it was interesting to see how they meshed together and created this difficult boy.

I'm not sure how I feel about the Lockwood's mother because she is upsetting and yet interesting to me.

Overall, this was just as good as Foretold, but better because I absolutely love Coral more than Raven.

Forecase is the first book in the series I have ready. I really loved the two main characters Coral and Taran. At first when Coral shows up telling Taran that he is in danger and she is there to protect him from her mother he doesn't really believe her. He is attracted to her and feels connected to her but doesn't completely buy into the Norse god portions of her story. Taran carries the soul of Thor and once he believes it all comes together on his 18th birthday. The world is going crazy around them but they fall for each other. It is really sweet and to add a little humor Taran has his best friends Josh and Grim. The twins are a mess they are always calling each other names. They add humor when things are going crazy around the group.

This book is great. I would easily recommend it to my 13 year old niece but I also think my 23 year old daughter would like it too.

I found this series browsing my library's electronic offerings. Each book is short and tells the same story from different angles, and I will copy the review into each book.

This series is very light reading with a romance level similar to Twilight. The characters are pretty basic and are not what drew me in.

I read this series and gave it three stars because I loved, loved, loved the Norse mythology! I want to go read my Norse mythology books and learn more about the interaction of the characters and where their destinies are supposed to fit. The danger was real. I really worried about the world ending in the brief days described in the plot. The author was a good enough writer that these books were hard to read on cold days because I swear her Ragnarok winter made me colder. I can totally recommend this series for super light reading on a hot summer day.

Another great installment! I really loved reading Coral's story, maybe even a little bit more than the first installment. Also, who doesn't love Thor? The characters were richly imagined and complex. Coral was just so cute! I think she was frozen during the whole book! Her 'episodes' kept things exciting. Great in the romance department! Five glittery stars!

This series was awesome! All three are available now, and are cheap $2.99 apiece. Totally worth the money. I really liked her characters and the story. It was very different since it follows Norse mythology. I highly recommend this series. 5 Stars for all three
