Forget opposites attract. These two loners are both chock full of tough attitude. But now they need each other to survive…
Bad-boy chef Adrian Holt never thought he’d meet anyone as fierce as him. Then fate delivered a motorcycle accident and a broken arm to go with his head full of bad memories. He can’t let his ghosts get the best of him now that he’s got nothing but time to burn while he heals. The cherry on top? He can’t stop thinking about the gorgeous paramedic with the razor-sharp tongue who peeled him off the pavement.
Of course Teagan O’Malley is tough as nails. Her single father raised her that way. But now she’s got to run his pub with no notice, no cash, and no room for error. She’s got zero kitchen skills, and she’s going to need a miracle to keep her father’s dream afloat.
Adrian and Teagan make a reluctant deal that keeps him in the kitchen and her out of hot water, and it doesn’t take long for the sparks flying between them catch fire. But there’s more on the line than their jobs or their hearts, and the danger lurking in the shadows could end them both.
***** Fire Me Up is an updated version of the fourth full-length Pine Mountain novel that was originally published in 2015. This edition has been edited and updated for readability and added steam.
USA Today best-selling author Kimberly Kincaid writes romantic suspense that sizzles and contemporary romance with heart and heat. Equal parts action and emotion, her firefighters and first responders always save the day. When she's not finding adventure with her family and naughty Whippets, Olive, Daisy, and Jack, she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to éclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book.
Kimberly's series include The Intelligence Unit, Remington Medical, Station Seventeen, and her brand-new Remington Rescue Squad series. All titles stand alone for easy reading.
Wow! I really liked this book a lot. This is the fourth book in the Pine Mountain series but it can be read as a stand alone without any problems. I did read and enjoy the first book in the series, Turn Up the Heat, and enjoyed seeing some familiar characters but they played a very small role in this book.
This book is really all about Adrian and Teagan. I found both of the characters to be very likeable. Teagan is tough and very dedicated to her job as a paramedic. She also spends a lot of her time working at her dad's pub where she is never afraid to jump into any situations where things are getting out of hand. She is determined to take care of her father even if it means she has to spend time in the kitchen.
Adrian is a chef. He belongs in the kitchen and spends almost all of his waking hours at the restaurant at the resort. Unfortunately, he suffers an injury on his way home from work which pushes him out of the kitchen. Adrian is nearing the end of his parole and wants nothing more than to stay out of trouble and be able to move on with his life. He feels lost and doesn't know what to do with himself without being able to go to work. Fate steps in and Adrian finds himself helping the paramedic who treated him learn how to cook in her father's kitchen.
The chemistry between this pair was amazing. It really felt like they belonged together and I liked that it didn't take them the whole book to figure that out. I really liked how food and cooking took such an important role in this book. The parts of the book where they cooked together were really some of my favorite and the recipes at the end of the book were a fun surprise. Who knew that cooking could be so sexy?
I really enjoyed how this story was told and I thought that the writing was very well done. The story did a really nice job of staying focused and giving us information at just the right moment. There were a few things that seemed a bit predictable and a little far fetched but I expect that in any work of fiction.
I would highly recommend this book to any fans of contemporary romance. This is the second book by Kimberly Kincaid that I have had a chance to read and I definitely plan to read more in the near future. I really need to go back and read the other books in this wonderful series as soon as I get a chance.
I received an advance reader edition of this book from Kensington Books via Net Galley for the purpose of providing an honest review.
Another fantastic addition to the Pine Mountain Series by Kimberly Kincaid. I love me some grizzly bear motorcycle ridin' tattooed yumminess and that is Adrian. And the chemistry between him and Teagan is explosive from the first meeting...Oil and Vinegar...but quite delicious when you mix together!
Adrian can't relax while on a forced leave of absence, and Teagan is trying to keep her father's pub afloat, while just finding out how things have fallen apart worse than she thought. Adrian play a little "White-Knight" and the sexy-foreplay kitchen games commence...and if anyone can write a sexy as all get out scene in the kitchen....its Kimberly Kincaid!
We get to see old friends from the past three Pine Mountain stories, and it's always fun to get a chance to see what is new with characters we have grown to love! And we get some new characters, like Brennan...who I think could have a romance in the future??? Maybe? Say yes!
Always fun...Always Sexy...Kimberly Kincaid Never Disappoints with a romance that will keep you up late into the night!! And a Hero who has you dreaming of sizzling pans and smoldering kisses!!
Teagan is a force to be reckoned with and Adrian is just the man for the job. This 4th installment of the Pine Mountain Series was spectacular. Loved Teagan's wit and take no shit attitude. And Adrian is nothing but sexy personified and just a little bit broken. Put the two of them together and it's hot enough to start a fire. Action, humor, off the charts sexual tension, and good cooking make this a must read.
Adrian.... So glad he finally got his book and man was it a good one.
I was so excited to finally get ahold of Adrian and of course I didn’t want to let him go.
We see him face the aftermath of the accident, see Carly force him out of her kitchen, and see him realize that he is not living life to the fullest like he promised his Nonna he would. He thinks that they kitchen balances him and that it is HIS life – until he meets Teagan O’Malley.
Teagan don’t want to be in a kitchen, but she has to help her dad during a health crisis and has no choice but to be in the kitchen. Teagan helps Adrian after the accident, so he says that he will help her with the kitchen BUT that he can’t work for her because of this parole. He also lets her know from the very beginning that it is only temporary and that he will be leaving as soon as his arm is healed and he can return to his job at the resort.
Things go south when the load is paid off and Teagan is in danger. It hits him then that he is living life all wrong and that Teagan is his life now and not the kitchen.
Adrian does return to the kitchen BUT which one does he choose? Read Fire Me Up to find out. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

REVIEW: I loved it! It had just the right amount of tension to keep me glued to the pages and just enough heat to make me swoon. I love Adrian and was so happy that he found his perfect match in Teagan. I related to her right off the bat and relished their journey together. As I said, the drama in this story kept me tense and a few times I was caught trying to caution Adrian out loud. All in all a fantastic read! Now I need to go to the store and buy the ingredients to make that gnocchi.

Quick Summary: A bad boy meets a feisty girl romance
My Review: Fire Me Up by Kimberly Kincaid is book 4 in the Pine Mountain series.
About the Book: After a good guy with a bad boy image gets into an accident, a red hot EMT sets his temperature ablaze. One thing leads to another, and soon the two are dishing out major yummy vibes. When a sleazy lowlife tries to bully his way in, a drastic measure has to be taken, but at what cost?
About the Characters:
Teagan was tough on the outside and fiercely loyal on the inside. She was obviously broken up about her parents life choices and fought hard to compensate for their lack. Her feelings for Adrian came about rather quickly. With that said, it's clear that she let down her guard enough to let him lead when and where it was needed.
Adrian was in a unique situation all the way around. The circumstances he found himself in were of the "wrong place at the wrong time" variety. Still, from jump, he and Teagan had a spark that burned into a flame. I think it would be fair to say that the seeker became the found, as it relates to Adrian finding his lady love.
Teagan's dad was clueless. He needed to have his grown up license revoked. I can't even find the words to properly convey my utter disbelief at his foolishness. Good grief!
About the Conflict/Drama/Action: There were just enough waves in the story to add texture. The author did a solid job with the individual struggles faced by both leads, as well as with the challenges the two had to deal with as a couple.
My Final Say: Readers who enjoy books with impossible situations and HEA outcomes will like this story.
Rating: 3/5 Audience: A Series: Yes
Thank you to the author, to the publisher (Kimberly Kincaid Romance), and to NetGalley for granting access to this title in exchange for an honest review. The words I have voluntarily shared are my own.
- Forced Proximity - Tattooed bad-boy hero - Heroine in danger - Like meets like (no opposites here! Everyone is fierce) - Heat in the kitchen and the bedroom
THIS being the first K.K book I have read, I was completely wow'ed by the story! The story started off as unexpected love story, my mind was thinking ok he will be taken to hospital and fall for the nurse story! so wrong I was,and what an unexpected great start. This is a touchy feely great love story of two people Adrian and Teagan, who find each knowing they are broken in their own way, they find a way around it. I absolutely loved the back story of Newna (sp) and though she was not a main character she played a huge role in the love story, The story ran so smooth I did not want to finish the book, knowing it would come to an end. from the start till the end it proved to not be the average love story line,K.K gave us twist and turns , the only thing that was a given was the love that would grow, SPOILER:
what a great back history on Adrian, having a felony because of beating a cops, what a great way to give him a reason to be on parol and such for protecting what he believed and showing how he assumed full responsibility. and Teagan's hurtfulness she carried with her Mother (I might have wished there was more story of her Mom,)
The Audio captured all emotions wonderful, one of the best ive heard. i highly recommend this romance book, I was given a copy of the Audio in exchange of my honest review of the book. which I will say all i said did not do book justice, its def a book which will stay on my kindle for a re read! well down K.K, I so look forward to more of your books!!!! thank you for sharing your gift of taking us into a happy place, life is rough for some of us and book of such make the daily pains of a disease subside in that moment, so thank you ! As a paramedic, Teagan can handle anything. But when faced with her dad's illness and floundering business, she finds that she is in way over her head. With no cook and even less employees than needed, she must face her demons and enter the kitchen to save her dad's bar.
Sexy sous chef Adrian has been going for weeks, running on fumes. When he is in an accident on his motorcycle that could have been so much worse than a broken arm, his life changes irrevocably. Six weeks off with idle time doesn't set well with him. Walking into the Double Shot Bar and Grill, he finds new meaning to living his life with no regrets.
When Teagan and Adrian stop fighting their intense attraction and finally give in, they are combustible. But when a new threat enters the picture and threatens Teagan, Adrian will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Even if it means losing her.
I loved these two. Their sexual tension is off the charts, and the playfulness they bring to each other is refreshing. Love, love, love this series and this book!!
Another fantastic addition to the Pine Mountain Series by Kimberly Kincaid. I really liked this book a lot. This is the story of Adrian and Teagan. Teagan is a paramedic and Adrian is a chef at Teagan's father's pub. As fate would have it, Adrian becomes injured and can't work at the pub so Teagan has to jump in and help out. What she finds is one big hot mess. Things at the pub are not well AT ALL. Adrian, who can't stand just sitting around doing nothing decides to jump in and help Teagan in the kitchen as best he can. LET THE SPARKS FLY !!!! The chemistry between this pair was amazing. It really felt like they belonged together and I liked that it didn't take them the whole book to figure that out. They were so sexy together! And FUN! This book is a one-sit kind of book. You won't put it down! And I really liked how past characters from the series were incorporated into the story! HIGHLY recommend this sizzling, fun sexy read :)

I'm always excited when I read a new book by Kimberly Kincaid, because I know it's going to be a great read and it will provide me with mouth watering recipes to try. Fire Me Up is book 4 in the Pine Mountain Series and for me, it's the best book in the series.........so far! As usual I absolutely adored Kimberly Kincaid's characters, but I gotta be honest, I flipping LOVED Adrian. A hero who is sexy as heck, rides a motorcycle, and excels in the cooking department......sigh! He's definitely going right to the top of my book boyfriend list. Now, Teagan, she was perfect Adrian. I loved all the sexual tension between them. She's such a strong and loyal character that you can't help but love. A major plus for me with Teagan, was that she wasn't jealous of Carly. It's always a pleasure reading about a female character who isn't jealous or insecure, and Teagan was neither of those things. This is one story you don't want to miss out on. Fire Me Up is a must read!!
I recieved ARC of this book from Netgalley for an honest review.
I thought this was a good book. I would recommend it to others. It was a little slow going for me in some spots but good book overall.
Adrian the hero in this book wants to keep himself out of trouble as he has a short time left on his parole, and his parole officer is just waiting for him to slip up. Teagan who takes some time off from her job as a paramedic to try and save her fathers bar and lively hood. After an accident on his motorbike Adrian is banished from his best-friends kitchen until he has healed fully. Refusing to be kept out of the kitchen he offers to teach Teagan how to run her fathers bar profitably, while trying to keep his nose clean. Things heat up in the kitchen between Tegan and Adrian.
This was my first visit to Pine Mountain, I will have to go check out the others.
One of the first books I've read written my Kimberly Kincaid, I absolutely loved Fire Me Up and will definitely be going back & reading the earlier books in the series!
Adrian's goal is too keep his nose clean & finish out his parole without incident, while doing what he loves in the kitchen. Teagan, a paramedic (& workaholic) will do whatever it takes to stay out of the kitchen. However, fate & a minivan have other plans for both of them.
Both must faced their pasts after Adrian agrees to help Teagan do whatever is needed to save her father's bar & grill.
This may have been my first Kimbery Kincaid book, but it definitely won't be my last!!
I was gifted an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Kimberly Kincaid never fails to delight, and in the latest book in her Pine Mountain series, she presents us with another love story that’s as sweet and as hot as La Dolce Vida’s cuisine. Adrien has already been one of my favourite second string characters in the Pine Mountain stories. Finally, he gets his own tale with a fiery hot redheaded paramedic who helps her dad run his bar in her off hours. When her ambulance attends at the scene of his bike accident, they set in motion a set of circumstances that will lead them through danger, conflict and inevitably, something deeper. Fire Me Up is a perfect read for a cold winter weekend, or a deck chair in the hot sun on that much needed tropical vacation.
I love Pine Mountain. I have been looking forward to Adrian's book since he first showed up several books ago. Teagan was the perfect match for him. I loved their story, along with all of the twists and turns along the way to their happily ever after. I also love all of the glimpses of the couples from the other books. It really does show what a fantastic small town Pine Mountain is. I look forward to many more books in this series.
I loved this book! Teagen and Adrian have such chemistry together. T is a tough caring daughter, EMT and fixer of her Dad and Adrian. She's trying so hard to run her Dad's bar and get it back in the black but she doesn't cook. Adrian is a chef with no kitchen since he got kicked out of his own due to an injury. He offers his help but he's hiding secrets. When things go south at the bar will those secrets destroy the bond between them or just Adrian?
Received an ARC copy from Netgalley for a honest review. First book for me by this author and I really enjoyed. Storyline was well written, entertaining, with humor and steamy romance. Loved the characters and their interaction. You can feel the sexual tension between Adrian and Teagan as he teaches her how to cook. This is one of those books that has you smiling thru-out the majority of it. Would recommend.
Amazing. Just an absolutely wonderful book! They get better and better, and the first one was no slouch. When a book makes me laugh and cry, it's a winner. And then I read the preview for the next one, All Wrapped Up, and I am pushing the boundaries of patience!
“Fire Me Up” by Kimberly Kincaid will keep you entertained from beginning to end. This book is the fourth story in the “Pine Mountain Series” and it should be noted Fire Me Up is an updated version of the originally published in story from 2015. This edition has been edited and updated for readability and added steam. I enjoyed this book and fell in love with the MCs Adrian and Teagan along with some of the supporting characters and will be checking out their stories in the future. I am a sucker for the forced proximity trope and when an author includes amazing banter between the MCs, sizzling chemistry, an intriguing plot, and believable backgrounds - I am known to binge read those series. Kincaid had done all of these things and more! 😉 The pace in this story is smooth without any dragging or time jumps. Seeing these two MCs break down their walls, overcoming their hang ups, and falling in love - wonderful.
I recommend this story to all lovers of romance.

I adore everything Kimberly writes and this one is no exception. Adrian is one of my favorite male heroes! He is broody, tough, and determined to do the right thing - even when it could cost him everything. I loved the tug and pull between these two and could not wait to get to their happy ending. This series is delightful and just makes me happy to read. I can't wait for the next book! Another 5+stars from me.
Sorry if I got a bit wordy, but I couldn't help it.
I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again now, if Pine Mountain was real, my bags would be packed and the movers on the way to my new apartment there. I so want to move there.
With this fourth full book in the Pine Mountain series, Kimberly Kincaid finally give us the delicious Adrian’s story and it’s fantastic and so worth the wait. The author knows I have a fondness for her tattooed heroes and the man mountain that is sous-chef Adrian is not only hot and drool worthy, but a bit of a surprise package.
What I love most about these books is that they suck you in and make you feel part of the book. The author has a way of making you lose yourself in the story and characters that few authors can truly pull off. I’m addicted to Kimberly Kincaid’s writing, I admit it.
You will quickly guess that I have more than a bit of a crush on Adrian. I can’t help it. I have been falling for him over the last couple of books and this book sealed the deal. Damn you Kincaid for giving me another A named hero with tats. Love you for it though J Seriously, how can you not fall for him with lines like this….
“And I want to take care of you. Let me take care of you, Teagan.”
Okay before I get lost in an Adrian haze, I will move on. I adored Teagan. I loved how she was tough, no nonsense and determined, but under all that there is a tender side that seems to flourish with Adrian. It’s got to be tough being a paramedic in a male dominated field but she does it with style and grace under fire. Except when she has to clean the squad fridge which even squicked me out. A girl has to draw the line somewhere. Plus Teagan’s interactions with her dad brought a lump to my throat as she reminded me of times with my own father.
When an accident brings Adrian’s life to a screeching halt, let’s say he doesn’t take it so well. His home is in the kitchen and to not be able to be there is hell. How could his best friend kick him out of the kitchen? But when a food run leads him to a bar, the last place he needs to be, he finds more than food. Maybe much more.
Paramedic Teagan can face any trauma without flinching, but standing in the kitchen of her father’s bar makes her break out in a sweat. But she has to suck it up because she’s in charge temporarily and things at the bar have gone to hell in a hand basket. But help has shown up in the form of the hot chef that she attended to at his accident. Maybe fate has found a way to help them both.
When an offer to help Teagan with the kitchen lands Adrian in a kitchen again, albeit in a totally different capacity than he’s used to, more than the food starts to sizzle. The chemistry between him and Teagan is strong and while they try to fight it, their bond just grows stronger till they give in and heat up more than the kitchen. But when a threat to the bar and Teagan emerges, all Adrian’s protective instincts roar to life and despite the fact that he shouldn’t/can’t be there, he can’t walk away from Teagan either.
“I’m yours right back, Red. I want you so much.” Teagan’s lips curled into a smile, and nothing in her life had ever felt so vital or so flawless. “Then take me,” she said.
As they work together to raise money to save the bar and Teagan’s father in the process, they start to fall for each other. Hard. But can the threat hanging over both their heads and past hurts stop them from being together when they clearly are meant to be or will taking a chance lead them to a life filled with no regrets and happiness?
We also get glimpses of the past characters in Carly, Shane and Jackson on top of a surprise from one of them. I may have squealed with joy when I read it.
I loved how these characters grew and changed through this book. I knew Adrian had an interesting backstory and boy was I right. But it just made me love him more. Teagan is one hundred percent perfect for him and him for her. They bring out the best in each other and I loved reading it. Superman and Red for the win.
I need to do a re-read soon as I’m craving a bit of fresh Pine Mountain air. I’m a huge fan of this author and she knows it. But if you love small town romances then this is the series for you.
This book was supplied by the publisher for an honest review.
I love finding authors who have a good backlist so that I can glom on their books (and yes, glom is a legit word, at least in my world). Prior to reading the Pine Mountain series (where I read all 4 books in the space of about 2 weeks), my only other experience with Ms Kincaid’s writing was in an anthology with a prequel story to pine mountain – and while I remember enjoying it – I remember one of the other stories more vividly (I mean, who can forgot anatomically correct cookies…). But that being said, I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Kincaid at an author/reader luncheon that was held in DC a few months ago and after that I experience, I knew I was going to be in for a ride with her books. But i’m not going to rave about the previous books in the series (all of which were solid 3.5 to 4 star reads for me), but about the most recent one that is officially due out in the next week or so (and I tell you, having read it a month ago, I’ve been on pins and needles waiting until I could recommend it to people).
But back to Fire Me Up – if you have read the previous 3 books in the series, you will be familiar with Adrian – he has made an appearance in all of the books so far – from the Turn Up The Heat (book 1), where he mentored/coached Bellamy into a career that she loved cooking; and the 2nd book (Gimme Some Sugar) where he is the stoic Sous Chef for the former Celebrity Chef, Carly. But in Fire Me Up, he finally gets his turn and it didn’t disappoint. I love it when an author takes a character out of their element (in Adrian’s case, the kitchen) and tries to make them cope and how sometimes that works, but for the most part it doesn’t. I kind of had an idea about what Adrian’s rought few years entailed, but seeing how it all played out, it felt believable and not to manufactured (as sometimes dark pasts can be).
I’ll admit that I was a bit conflicted about Teagan at first – mostly because I didn’t quite buy the, oh my family is having issues, I need a leave of absence from work part of the story (or that is roughly how it played out). Maybe it can be done, but I don’t know – it just kind of hit me wrong. But as a character, I liked her, she did have a few dumb moments where I wanted to slap her – but not to the extent that I have wanted to do to other characters in different books. I really liked how she was able to calm/deal with Adrian without infantalizing him, which seems to be a common issue in romance novels when the hero has an issue.
I was glad to revisit Pine Mountain, but i’m going to be sad to see the series end in the next year (because I think there is only like 1 full-length novel and maybe a novella remaining). I would recommend Fire Me Up for people who like sweet/sassy contemporary romance with mostly normal people; and those who like romance novels with a small-town feel (although, personally, I’m coining the Pine Mountain series, Resort Romance). I gave Fire Me Up 4 stars and look forward to reading even more by Ms. Kincaid in the future.
Adrian was just as hot as I expected. Superman and Red are perfection.
When his boss returns early from her honeymoon, Adrian Holt is ordered to go home and take some time to relax. She tells him there’s more to life than being her sous chef at the restaurant. He disagrees but agrees to go home and get some rest before the dinner rush. The last thing he expects is to have mini-van clip his motorcycle and send him flying against the asphalt. When a gorgeous red-haired paramedic insists on taking care of his injuries, he has no clue where it’s going to lead but he’s willing to follow those luscious lips anywhere.
Teagan O’Malley has seen her share of bad accidents and when a motorcycle is involved she always fears the worst, but her new patient seems to think he’s more Superman than human and perhaps he is. Well, he quickly becomes her hero in the kitchen.
Kimberly Kincaid never ceases to amaze me at how true to life her characters become to us, and Adrian has always been a little bigger than life for us in this series. In FIRE ME UP, she shows us just how caring, and real, this big man is and Teagan is just the woman to bring it out in him.
We learn a lot about Adrian in his story. We discover his past has been holding him back from living life, keeping him where it’s safe – in the kitchen. After his accident, he’s happy to help out Teagan in her bar especially after Carly won’t let him back in the kitchen at La Dolce Vita because as she points out to him, he needs to heal both physically and emotionally. Carly has her own news, which shakes up the kitchen but she isn’t going to allow Adrian to run roughshod over her, no matter how big he is or invincible he thinks he is.
Teagan and Adrian make a perfect match, Superman and Red – love that! She doesn’t take any lip off Adrian, and he can’t give her enough lip action. He doesn’t call her Red just because she’s a redhead. And as usual, don’t read FIRE ME UP while hungry. I swear my stomach actually growled at one point. I’m a not a pulled pork fan but those sliders sound delicious and don’t even get me started about dreaming about those gnocchi. And then, we get treated to a tease of Nick Brennan – delicious! I'm already smitten with that guy.
I absolutely recommend FIRE ME UP, book four in the Pine Mountain series by Kimberly Kincaid because Kimberly never disappoints. Even when you think it might be a bit predictable, turn the corner and get surprised. Adrian is just the man I always wanted him to be and I couldn't be happier than to step aside and allow Teagan to enjoy his love. If you’ve read this series from the get-go, don’t miss this one and if you haven’t tried out the Pine Mountain series, you could start with this one but honestly, I’d start the beginning and work your way to discovering the big man, Adrian Holt. He can help this redhead out in her kitchen any time.

How do you cement the title of Queen of Foodie Romance? Make a vegetarian pant over the luscious descriptions of a pulled pork sandwich and have her seriously considering renouncing her ways. 17 years and Kincaid has me going...omg I so want one! over a pork sandwich *hangs head in veggie girl shame* lol Fire Me Up was a foodie romance lover's wet dream as a motorcycle accident lands Adrian with a little time on his hands and making his way into the kitchen of the woman who came to his rescue at the accident site.
Alright so the quick of it is that both Adrian and Teagan's lives are in a bit of upheaval. She's having to take time off her job as an EMT to help keep her dad's bar afloat and Adrian's been kicked out of his job at the resort restaurant while he heals from his accident--much to his dismay. And one thing leads to another and Adrian ends up lending his chefly skills to the bar since no one there knows how to cook and they desperately need the guidance.
These two were great. They had lovely chemistry, matched each other nicely in the work-a-holic category and had some issues they needed to work through on the personal front. These two are crazy dedicated and always on the go. I had a good time watching them work together in and out of the kitchen, Watching them slowly grow and deal with their pasts--his is a little, erm, rough-- and emotional blocks. They were insanely hot together. Whew. Yeah they steamed up the pages in a number of ways and it was all...verra verra nice. There was a lot of humor as well which is always fun.
Okay I had one little niggle. It wasn't a huge thing and is kinda silly but dude...Adrian...almost in the #SuperCock club. You know. Those guys that get all shot up, banged up and still they're mighty willing and ready to go...all...the...way! He's got a broken arm/cast thing happening and was still all about some sex that was, erm, vigorous. Like the broken arm was just forgotten during those scenes. I would have thought some working around it would need to be done. But who knows. The #SuperCock knows no limits ;)
There was a nice little bit of added drama and suspense that I so wasn't expecting but worked really nicely when a sticky situation pops up at the bar and lands everyone in a spot of danger. It was a nice added bit of ooompf! to the storyline.
Overall, Fire Me Up was a tasty treat all the way around...the food, the romance, the suspense and, oh yeah, definitely the heat. Kincaid knows how to delight all the senses and never disappoints.

Adrian has been the big silent type since the beginning; ever menacing and the reader never quite knowing what to expect the man. His story is my favorite yet!
Adrian has been a part of the series from the beginning. Always stealing the limelight, but never demanding it. With his quiet presence, he demanded order and obedience in his kitchen, but due to one wrong move, he’s a man floundering with no purpose.
Something is not right at Teagan’s family bar. The vibe is off and people are not showing up for work. Not to mention her father is looking not his best. Worried about the state of things, she takes a leave of absence and is determined to get things back in order. Too bad she stinks in the kitchen and things are far worse than she ever expected.
With Adrian without a kitchen and Teagan without a cook, they take on a taxing relationship. Teagan who would burn water is going to cook in the kitchen while Adrian supervises. Soon things take a sharp turn for the worse and Adrian needs to guard his heart and his position in life. He is also a man who won’t let people down. With a plan and a way, they are going to get the bar back on track. Who knows what will happen along the way to these two lonely people who always thought they were fine going on in life on their own.
I loved Adrian and Teagan. They had amazing chemistry and Ms. Kincaid made magic on the pages with these two. Both are very stubborn and they fight their attraction the whole way, but when they connect, it’s spectacular! Ms. Kincaid has written such a great story and it sounds like she is going to keep on giving with the next story being about the mysterious Nick Brennan.
Fire Me Up is the fourth book in the Pine Mountain Series and what a treat it was!! Kincaid not only writes about beautiful scenery in Pine Mountain, but she also brings some amazing characters that you won’t be able to get enough of.
Teagan O’Malley is a paramedic that can just about handle anything, but when her father becomes ill and she has to take over running and operating her dads bar she realizes that she is in over her head. With hardly any employees and no chef it is time for Teagan to step up and enter the kitchen to save her dad’s bar. Can she make it work or will she loose it all?
Adrian Holt is a sexy sous chef that has been working hard and running on empty. After he is in a motorcycle accident which leaves him with a broken arm and unable to cook, Adrian’s life changes. With time off to heal he finds himself back in the kitchen helping out Teagan and finds he is cooking up more than food.
I loved the intense sexual attraction between these two. Their chemistry was not only off the charts, but when they give into each other they truly cook up a romance that is just to die for. Kincaid not only brings hot men to the series but women who are strong. You will not be disappointed with the laugh out loud moments, plenty of heat and happily ever after’s that keep you coming back fto Pine Mountain for more. I loved how she wrote these two characters and how they would challenge each other.
Fire Me Up will keep you engaged from beginning to the very end with some twists thrown in that will keep you from putting the book down. Even though this is the fourth book it can be read as a standalone, but I suggest you start from the beginning and fall in love with the characters of Pine Mountain.
I am so happy I got the opportunity to once again spend some time in the small town of Pine Mountain, Pennsylvania. The people are candid, the scenery is beautiful, and bad-boy sous chef Adrian Holt is hot and helpful. However, his past continuously dangles in his present, at least for the next 46 days. A motorcycle accident prevents him from physically cooking, yet he finds a way to be a part of Teagan's kitchen, and she can certainly use the assistance. Teagan O’Malley is a paramedic and loves her job. She also loves her father who owns the local bar and grill. He is experiencing some health problems which cannot be ignored, so Teagan steps in to run the restaurant. She is used to the bar and eatery scene because she has helped out for years. However, becoming the new chef is not what she had in mind.
Aiden and Teagan have great chemistry and Ms. Kincaid evolves their romantic relationship with caring, some laugh-out-loud moments and plenty of heat, both in and out of the kitchen. They constantly challenge each other, which I found to be fun and endearing.
As much as I enjoyed this story, I found the pace to be a bit slow for my tastes. Aiden and Teagan are wonderful together, but it took a long time for them to do something about the feelings that were developing between them. However, with that said, their sexual tension was off the charts! This is a well-written book with some twists and turns that kept me engaged from beginning to end. Although this is the fourth book from Ms. Kincaid's Pine Mountain series, it can be read as a standalone. However, the first three books are really good, so you may want to check them out.

This is how the blurb starts, and nothing could better describe this book. The chemistry between Adrian, the hot chef on a Harley, and Teagan, female paramedic with a kickass attitude, sparks during their meet cute and grows throughout the book, until fireworks explode. This story is intense, there’s no other way to put it. It’s a mix of chemistry, angst, romance, all blended together to create the perfect recipe for a page turner. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, make you swoon, have you hold your breath until the very last chapter, and leave you with a smile on your face. The heat level is rather high, and if I have to be honest, some of the sex scenes were a little too long. Even though I understand that, given the heat building between them, these scenes fit in the story, I would’ve enjoyed the story even without them, especially since they were rather descriptive and I’m not particularly a fan of long, graphic scenes. Apart from this little personal preference of mine, which I’m sure readers who like sexy romance will find perfect, the rest of the story flowed without a single hitch. I enjoyed this book very much and, being the first book by this author, I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely read more, and I will add all the previous books to my TBR list. However, you do not need to read the previous books in order to enjoy this one.
Adrian Holt is a the sous-chef with for La Dolce Vida’s. He lives to cook and does not feel comfortable unless he is in the kitchen up to his elbows in his latest creation. However, all of that comes to a screeching halt when he is in an accident on his motorcycle on his way home one day from work, breaking an arm and dislocating his shoulder. He is on mandatory medical leave from the resort, but has no idea how to relax when he is not cooking. What will he do to fill his time before he loses his mind?
Teagan O’Malley is the paramedic who responded to Adrian's accident. She is also the daughter of a bar and grill owner - a restaurant that is in touble. When her father falls ill and can no longer take care of the bar, Teagan steps in to keep the place afloat. She can take care of the front of the house, but has no clue how to cook. Will she figure out a plan to help her father keep is dream?
Fire Me Up is a fun read. I adore Adrain and his patience with teaching Teagan how to cook and the other staff how to run a restaurant and bar. I would love for him to teach me how to cook - the recipes included at the back of the book look incredible. I love Teagan's devotion to her father and keeping his dream alive. There were several times when I wanted to shake her and ask what she was thinking but I do admire her love for her dad and his bar. While this is book 4 in the Pine Mountain series, but it can very easily be read as a stand alone.
I loved absolutely every aspect of this story. Teagan and Adrian together were just fire and spice. The verbal ribbing between them was energizing, the physical chemistry explosive, the mental connection so utterly sweet, making their team work seamless and effortless. They made such a harmony together, both in and out of the kitchen, their desire to take care of each other just melted my heart - watching them fall in love was magical. The threat from the loan shark, and from the parole officer, brought tension and pressure to the story, giving it even more depth. The action in the kitchen, the love of food, the passion to get it right, kicked up my adrenaline going. The rush of service, the stress of line service, the non-stop noise of the tickets coming in, the prep, the burn in your feet and back after long shift - AH, I cherished every word. The loyalty and unity of the staff, to pull it all together and save the pub, and how the small town gathers its forces, and together they make it happen made me want to cheer. The planning, organizing and agony of the permits for a big event all so familiar to me, made me smile. With invigorating details of the hospitality industry seen from the small town pub's point of view, mixed with a marvelous romance, and drizzle of suspense in a nicely flowing story only deserves ~ Five Spoons! booksandspoons.weebly.com/book-blog
