Under His Command

Rate this book
For His Pleasure is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling series, and with each new book, the romance only gets hotter...

Twenty-two year old Kennedy Saunders is running away from her old life at MIT, and running towards a new life in New York City. A new life working for Red Jameson--and hopefully much more than that.

Because Kennedy isn't just some random girl trying to break into the advertising business. She's someone who has a connection to Red and Nicole, and she's determined to get closer to them, at any cost.

But Kennedy is shocked when, instead of working for Red Jameson, she finds herself at the beck and call of Red's new Chief Operating Officer, Easton Rather.

And Easton is not impressed with Kennedy's high IQ, her ivy league background, or anything else. But he does want something from her. Something that might just cost Kennedy everything, and force her to reveal secrets that will throw everyone's lives into chaos.

Under His Command (For His Pleasure, Book 17) is a 30,000 word tale of lust, submission, power and ultimately--a love story for the ages. Bonus story included: The first book of Kelly's new hit series, Naked.

Loved the surprise of a new book with new characters. Can't wait to see what connection Kennedy has to Red & Nicole and where Kennedy's relationship may go with her new boss Easton. Steamy already. Thanks Kelly for writing another book/series to keep us coming back for more!

I really enjoyed this little story. I was in the edge of my seat with what's was going to happen next. Things are very intense between Easton and Kennedy. I wanted to smack Easton for constantly playing with her head. I am also very curious to know what the link is between Kennedy and Nicole.

WOW

I love the fact this book starts off on a different voyage from the past books but still working with past characters. I was so not ready to let go of the other characters and hope the stories keep on with the old and bringing in the new! Have not been disappointed yet!

Great Series!!

This series was awesome. I couldn't put it down. I love multi-dimentional plots. This series had so much going on that I literally got lost in it in a great way.

Title: Under His Command (For His Pleasure #17)
Synopsis: Taken from goodreads

Something that might just cost Kennedy everything, and forces her to reveal secrets that will throw everyone's lives into chaos.

Characters: Let me be honest, I love all the characters of the For His Pleasure series but Easton and Kennedy could become my new favorites…mainly because of Easton and his very frustrating and confusing mind fucks.

Kennedy Sanders has both brains and beauty. She has a respectable Ivy League education from MIT and an off the charts IQ. She has run away from her predictable, boring life teaching at MIT and seeks out a career change in NYC…for secretive reasons we don’t yet understand. She makes the move to NYC with no definitive job or padded savings account.

Easton Rathers works for Red Jameson as his new COO (because of his job, both Red and Nicole will be involved in this continued storyline). Easton is a retired boxer with a ‘Dom’ persona. He fights his attraction to Kennedy but she seeks him out at one of his clubs. Kennedy impresses Easton with her submissiveness and hires her professionally, leaving the door open for a possible intimate relationship between the two.

The book focuses on the intense attraction between Kennedy and Easton. Kennedy’s neighbor also has his eyes on her. I see this becoming an issue in Book 18 and on.

Writing Style (POV): This book is written in Kennedy’s present day POV.

Background: This book was almost like an introduction book to two new characters with appearances by Red and Nicole. There are 16 prior books in the For His Pleasure series. In book 16 you think the series has come to a completion and then book 17 comes out. Of course I squealed a little bit because I love the characters in this series. I was lucky enough to find all 16 books once they were released so I didn’t have to wait for the next installment… now I’m not so lucky. Even if you haven’t read the 16 prior books in the series, book 17 will be a push in the direction of reading them. You’re introduced to how Kelly builds, builds, builds and then stops leaving you counting down the days to the next release. It’s sexual frustration at it’s finest.

I can’t really give much background here because the book is so short, I don’t want to give anything away!

Cliffhanger? HEA? Oh man. I literally cannot handle where this book ended. I need book 18. Like, need it. I’m so upset where this book ended. I was drawn in because this book made absolutely no sense at all. It was like play a romantic Clue…except no murder. Some people may hate that but let’s face it, if you can predict the book by Chapter 3 what is the point of the book? I’m hooked on this series. Kelly, please provide this junkie with her fix. Too far? Oh well.

Evaluation: I would recommend this series but I think $2.99 is a high price for 70 pages…I think the stories have gotten seemingly shorter since the first books of ‘For His Pleasure’, which is extremely disappointing since this series has substance to it. I give this book 4 stars just because I wish there was more to each installment.

Ok. This was like a novella of sorts where you get introduce to characters for a future book. I understand the other reviewers frustration of how this ends. However this should not have been 2.99. I do plan to continue the series but I hope we get more in 18 that makes up for 17. We left off at 16 thinking it was the end. Then we get all excited about 17 and the possibilities for Red and Nicole. Then you get this ...... The book will peak your interest and get you revved up but ladies there is just a bunch up angst with no HEA. At all...... Builds up with no completion. Just frustration Kelly Favor ..... Book 18 better bring it

I have fallen in love with all the couples I have meet in the For His Pleasure Series. Kelly Favor books just kept me coming back for more.

In this book you meet Kennedy Sanders & Easton Rather.

Kennedy Sanders who has run away from her life at MIT and her family.

Easton Rather works for Red Jameson who we meet in earlier books. He is Red's new chief Operating Officer.

I would recommend the series For His Pleasure and any Kelly Favor book.

Ok, now this just sucks! Right when it gets to the good part, BAM its over. I thought it was going to be longer than the others because of the page count when I bought it but noooooo, its half and then the other half is Naked; which I've already read.

Anyways, the story line just sucks you in and makes you buy the damn thing for 2.99.

This installment felt much shorter than the others and didn't really answer any questions, it just brought in two new characters - Kennedy and Easton. I wish we could have learned more about both during this short story. I always enjoy Red and Nicole, but really just needed more to fill in the blanks. Hope 18 gives us a bit more.

This book is classic Kelly Favor leaving her reader wanting more. I'm hoping with this book she is going to keep her readers more up to date instead of missing release dates or just flit out not giving any.

I was really excited to start another story with some new characters. The first one is never as good as when it gets deeper in the story. Though it gets you hooked enough to dive into the next segment. I am going to have to continue reading right away.

Good story, but too short. I thought this series was over at Book 16. I'm not sure I want to keep paying $2.99 for 70 pages.

Another plum fool that Kennedy is she's so out of her league with Easton it's ridiculous. She has to be worse then Nicole and the ending makes me wonder if she's just some stalker or something.

I feel sorry for Kennedy

She is young inexperienced and confused about everything and doesn't know where she fits into her new lifestyle and is humiliated.
