Everything Kelly writes about stems from personal experience. Her nonfiction books are based on decades as a professional psychic counselor and various health challenges. What about her romances? Yes! They contain scenes and characters she's known, witnessed or fantasized about, and places she's been.

Kelly was born and raised in Southern California. After 32 years on the west coast, she moved to the east coast and absolutely loved the changing seasons. However, she soon found herself in the Arizona desert for eight years. While the sunrises and sunsets could never be surpassed, she felt she left her soul behind and is once again, blissfully, living in Maryland. She has five grown daughters, various pets and grand-pets, sons-in-law, and one special guy who's become her muse.

Very average tale of a retired cop turned PI turning to a psychic for help. I didn't think that there was much suspense in this novel - he seemed remarkably quick at revising his opinion of psychics. I also felt that the storyline was weak - after almost a month of a woman being on the run with an abducted toddler, and the police coming up with nothing, they had results and were about to set off on her trail in 24 hours - and caught up to her in the next 48. Seriously, where is the suspense in that?

Omgosh...this was amazingly...bad. I don't know, that's probably harsh. The story arc was ok, but it seemed amateur-ish...especially the dialog. I started skimming 30% of the way through. It was billed as "sensual romantic suspense." That should have meant somewhat hot, but no. I guess I'm spoiled, because I've read some really superior fanfic in my day. Those people weren't published, but were really talented. At least this was a freebie.

Not a bad story for a freebie. Some of the dialogue seemed a little dated and the exclamation points throughout the entire book were a tad annoying. Otherwise a decent book.
