This was a short and (maybe too)sweet romance about two people finding love when they least expected and creating a family where there was once almost no hope of having one. Sean lost his wife in a car accident just after their twin daughters were born. What he never told anyone was that their relationship was ending which led him to close himself off to ever trusting another woman or finding love. Kelly has been in lover with her friend for years and after watching him marry someone else, she's decided to retire from the military and take her nursing skills overseas to help a children's charity. A chance meeting one night brings Sean and Kelly together. Ok, maybe not so chance... She's dressed as a sexy bunny to sing Sean Happy Birthday as arranged by mutual friends. I found this pretty funny :) Turns out Sean is in need of a nanny while his au pair is on holiday and Kelly fits the bill. What starts out as a harmless way to pass another lonely Christmas for Kelly leads the two to realize that it's ok to start over in love and that when you meet the right one, you just know. ❤ It was a sweet romance that had no drama, I'm just mad that there was no sex ;)

This is actually my first book by the author and the first in this series. I picked it up when it was offered as a free download, and I am glad that it did. It is a sweet sentimental story of love with a backdrop of Christmas time; Sean a handsome widower with twin daughters of a year old, is still getting over the hurt of his late wife, and not sure if he can trust love again. Kelly is a army medic nurse, who has devoted her life to her job, traveling to remote locations to help others, trying to escape the one thing that she can't have. Sean and Kelly meet through mutual friends, and things take off from there. I enjoyed this story so much I am inclined to read more by this author.

Featured in the Sweet Christmas Kisses anthology, this is a cute Christmas story. It's part of a series but works well as standalone. Some parts were a little slow, but all in all it was a sweet, enjoyable read.

4.5 Star Review - The Army Doctor's Christmas Baby

I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this book by Helen. This book includes passion, laughs, heartache, and sweet romance.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading that book first:
The Army Doctor's Baby
The Army Doctor's Wedding

Kelly is still trying to get over Cameron as she was in love with him but she has a secret that she didn’t want to share so they broke up. He has moved on and really so should she. She still hangs out with him and pretends to be his friend but really should she? Kelly’s friend Cameron has her dress up like a bunny to wish Sean a happy birthday. After the party Sean asks Kelly if she will watch his twin girls while she is on vacation awaiting her new job. Since she is a nurse it makes sense that they would be safe with her.

As they spend time together they grow closer. They talk over Sean’s cases in the evenings and spend time with the girls during the days he is not working. They get along great and she is falling in love with the girls.

With Kelly getting ready to leave on a new job is it really worth getting involved? As Kelly grows closer to Sean and the girls can she really leave them to take a job? If she stays will Sean let her into his life and the girl’s lives?

I was given a copy for review in exchange for my honest opinion.
There are no words to describe how this book made me feel. Sean is a hot plastic surgeon who seems to have it all. He just needs a woman who will complete his happy little family. Kelly is a sweet woman who does what she can for her friends. She just wants a family of her own.
When both of these characters were introduced in the other books I hoped that they would get their own books but never thought about them together. However when you see these two together it couldn’t be more perfect. Sean’s little girls are the cutest things ever and you can just imagine them with all of their little antics and personality traits. I was so happy to read this book. Helen has a way of connecting you with each character and making you invest in the book. My heart hurt when Sean’s did or when Kelly’s did. I couldn’t fathom what I would have done if I was in either of their positions. If you haven’t read the Army Doctor books I HIGHLY recommend them! 5/5

The Army Doctor's Christmas Baby
Kelly Grace had agreed to her friends' Major Cameron Knight request-to sing a happy birthday greeting at the pub.
She was dressed in a swimsuit (it's winter) along with bunny ears and covered in a fur coat.
Colonel Sean Fabian had designed battlefield protocols for treating serious trauma cases and was world known as the best plastic surgeon.
She is an army medic and due to fly to Somalia after the holidays to help less fortunate children.
They become acquainted more at the party and after as he drives her back to the base. He's got twin girls just one year old.
She's agreed to take the job of nanny for 3 weeks til she leaves, by staying at his house and watching the girls rather than him leaving them in day care.
Liked hearing of the doctors work and how it can help others.
The story not only follows Kelly and Sean but Cameron and Olivia's child's birth.
They are able to share their secrets with one another and doubts that their relationship will continue.

I really liked this series of books (of which this is the third). Taylor's writing is clear in style, and her world-building is excellent. Her characters are very well-rounded. It was lovely to get to know two of the characters mentioned in the second book (The Army Doctor's Wedding) some more, and also to find out what happens to Cameron and Alice a year down the line.

I will admit to being curious as to whether or not Daniel Fabian is going to get his own book!

The Army Doctor's Christmas Baby by Helen Scott Taylor is a nice romantic story with great characters and a nice story line. If you like reading classic romance stories this one is a good one.
It's my third book by this author and I'll be picking up another one of her books very soon.

This is the third book in the Army Doctor's series. All of the books do stand alone, but you get so much more out of all the characters if you read all of them.

The four books in the series are:
The Army Doctor's Baby
The Army Doctor's Wedding
The Army Doctor's Christmas Baby
The Army Doctor's New Year's Baby

This is a very rich and emotional story, very developed and filled with lots of love. The lead characters are so perfect for this story and with the added addition of the twins it's a Very Special Christmas all around. I was so up and down, not knowing what was going to happen next, holding my breath and trying my darnest to help Sean solve his dilemma with Kell. I'll be darn if he didn't figure it out without my help but I was there if he needed backup. A story that is well worth the read.

So, after reading the first two, I was excited to see who this one was about and when Ms. Taylor told me it was Kelly Grace, I was excited to see her story. I really liked her in the 2nd book. I wanted her to get her happy ending.

I enjoyed seeing how Ms. Taylor gave Kelly and Dr. Fabian, the hot shot plastic surgeon Army doctor we met previously! Both of these characters had to overcome heart break to get their happy ending. I cried more reading this one than I did the other two.

I enjoyed a lot of the aspects of the book. The ending I felt was really rushed. This is a book from the "Sweet Christmas Kisses" set. This is the 3rd book in the set and the first and this book both felt it was necessary for the characters to have sex on Christmas. Not a lot of detail was given. The set is suppose to all be PG rated books. For me a PG rated book does not have sex in it rather it is implied or not.

This was a great quick read. I want to read the first two. I didn't realize at first his was the third in a series. You can read them out of order it seems like they are more companion novels than continuations. This story had a lot of emotion and love. Sacrificing of ones self for love. I hope the first two are just as good as this one was.
