This old book is very scarce impossible to get in Canada I didn't want to import it from the U.S. because of the costs and the hassle. I got lucky bought a used copy from an Ontario book seller 1970 issue the 101 brilliances are games from the 1960's all favourites of GM Larry Evan's with a few from the late 1950's instructive classics that I'm sure younger readers have not studied or are famillar with.

My copy is in descriptive notation but it doesn't take away from the book BTW I can't believe someone gave Evans book 2 stars are you kidding me?!

Chess Catchetisms from 1970 and
Modern Chess Brilliancies from 1976
are my two fave Larry Evans books

I wish there much more annotation in this book, and that Evans just did a dozen more books like this, just annotating interesting games.

Rather sketchily done. And some of these games...well, it's hard to see what Larry ever saw in 'em.
