It will allow them to navigate around and through an educational landscape, which very often can be a hazardous journey. The book was also written to encourage all teachers to break away from the teach to the test mentality that has been dominating our schools for several decades. There is a heavy emphasis on critical thinking and creativity which focuses on teaching the child, rather than teaching the curriculum. Readers will find a wealth of activities and strategies that are designed to get children to think, rather than memorize data that they will forget after the test is over.
