Warning! Not by Chance begins a moment after Another chance ends. If you haven't read the first book, you probably won't enjoy the sequel! Anna and Michael both paid a high price for the mistakes they made when they were young. Anna's belief in God's grace allows her to move forward, but Michael doesn't feel entitled to a second chance. When their new life goes awry, Michael feels he is getting what he deserves. Unless he can learn to trust - both Anna and God - they'll miss their miracle.
This book makes you think no matter how much of a Christian you think you are, that is not always the case. Sometimes terrible things happen in life to bring you back into the fold! It made me wonder how some people have strong faith all of the time when for others it is not till they can't handle their life anymore as it is. They Can talk the talk but not walk the walk. Now I am ready to move on tothenext book in this series.
My heart broke for Michael and Anna throughout their entire journey of "not knowing" what was happening in Franny's life. To know Tyler and Franny would actually be the ones to find each other after 8 years. It was all I could do to finish reading the last few pages because of my own tears.
What a whirlwind of a plot! So many twists and turns in this story about Anna and Michael. It is about second chances and the wonder of God's grace. There is much more to come in the next books! Great author.
The idea of concept is good but I felt the story lacked emotion. It felt rushed and not consistent. I didn't feel as if I was there due to a lack of description.
This was a very moving story. I love Christian fiction.I love that the story relates to biblical scriptures. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
This book was excellent and had a very strong message that if you truly believed in God miracles can happen. I am looking forward to reading the next one.
At first I was thinking this book was too much too soon and fake. As I continued to read I realized the author used this tactic to give her readers A warm fuzzy but the continuous doubting on Anna and Michael's minds was too much for my personality type to grab onto I want to get to the problem and resolve it. I was going to not finish reading the rest of this book but the switch to the abduction brought in new interest. The reunion at the ending was great but it doesn't work out that fast and perfect no matter how firm our Faith is because of the red tape. But wouldn't it be wonderful if all abducted children could be like this story.
Wow! I didn't want to put it down, this book was so interesting. Michael and Anna rush into marriage a week after Anna was attacked by a co-worker at the school for juvenile delinquents that Michael runs. When their twins arrive early and looking nothing like either parent, Michael begins to question Anna's reason for rushing into the marriage, but then the twins are abducted by the nanny that Michael hired. When Tyler is returned but Franny remains missing, Michael and Anna's faith are really tested. Will Franny finally make it home?
the story line showed the importance of communicating the real feelings to one another not assuming what the other is thinking. and not giving up on relationships but digging to get facts and resolution. heartwarming story of not giving up on a multitude of situations. working them through and trusting in God to right the wrongs
Another inspiring story from Ms. Adams. I like her approach to life situations and illustrates God's role in the lives of believers. No sermons, just Biblical solutions for making it through the struggles life throws at us.
A couple meet, fall in love, each aware this is a second chance at marriage. They face many challenges along the way, each being strong in their faith in a different way. God finds a way to bring them together.
This was an okay read. I felt myself skimming a lot as it was so predictable. I must say I enjoyed the first book of this series much more than this one.
