Miss Taken
Rain and Raven Medici are identical twins. Although they come from a loving close-knit family their childhoods couldn't have been more different. Raven went to school and was exposed freely to the outside world. Rain on the other hand was born with a blood disorder and denied many normal childhood experiences.
Once grown, Raven becomes a lawyer at their dad's firm Kane & Medici in NYC. Rain along with her only childhood friend Tommy Conte, builds a very successful business as professional photographers. Traveling between Europe and Manhattan, and enjoying a world that was kept from her, Rain vows never to be controlled again.
Dominick Kane is a product of his upbringing. He's powerful, self-assured and knows he can achieve anything he desires. Nothing gets in his way. There is only one thing he has ever failed at. A relationship with his father Vincent Kane. Upon his father's death, Dominick vows revenge. The events he sets in motion put him on a collision course he himself will be unable to control.
In a bizarre twist of fate, Dominick kidnaps Raven as part of his plan for revenge. Only to discover afterward, he has taken Rain by mistake. Rain knows she can never survive being confined again. So she strikes a bargain with the devil and agrees to help Dominick get back what he feels rightly belongs to him. His father's share of Kane & Medici.
Dominick decides to use the strong attraction growing between Rain and himself to control her in every way imaginable. Too bad no one ever taught Dominick you can't control the heart. Nothing could have prepared him for the effect Rain would have on his.
Will this plan of revenge turn into unconditional love? Or will Dominick and Rain's need for control ultimately destroy them and any possible chance for a real future

Ok…before I start with my review about “Miss Taken” – I have to tell you all a little story ---
Once upon a time, a book-a-holic was asked to read a story which sounded rather interesting and while (we will call her “Star”) Star was reading, she noticed that there were misspellings, typos, grammatical problems etc. Oh my, but that didn’t deter our little Star from reading on. Yes, there were times that Star got slightly frustrated at the errors, but she was much too engrossed in the tale to give up now. For hours you couldn’t see Star’s button nose since it was hidden behind her tablet but you could hear her delicate sounds of “pfft’ing” or “huffing” and sometimes even a few colorful words escaped her mouth. Next thing I realize is that a string of curse words are coming out of our beautiful (yeah had to add that) Star’s mouth. Ahh, must be a cliffhanger!
Well, Star didn’t know what to do about a review – she knew how tough and critical the gals were on Goodreads and didn’t want to give the book a raving review in case the grammar got torn apart by another reviewer, so Star hitched up her big girl panties and emailed the author. She tried to be as kind and gentle as possible by explaining to Miss Cleo that Star hoped she accidentally received a non-edited version and didn’t want to leave a review until she knew for sure.
Days went by without a response, while Star worried that she may have upset the author’s feelings until finally (que the trumpets) she awoke to a magical email. Miss Cleo wasn’t upset; instead she was grateful to Star for being honest and verifying with her first. This prompted Miss Cleo to start re-editing the book so the rest of the Goodread’s kingdom could join in the festivities of “Miss Taken”.
If you look close enough, you can still see our little Star with her nose buried in a book huffing and fucking every time she gets to a cliffhanger. So my little readers….the moral to this story is “Never be afraid of our authors, they are real people just like the rest of us!”
*Whew….damn, I was dreaming of stars flying around me and this annoying narrator telling a story…..
Now putting that all aside, I am reviewing this book on the story line and the author's sense of imagination. I give this 2 thumbs up! For a debut novel, I am definitely anticipating the release of the next book in this series.
The story? Damn….I loved it! What a twist on a kidnapping story….got the wrong twin? I loved the story between Rain and Dominick and their magnetism was off the charts.
A very unique storyline but yes, there were some instances where it fell in the “cookie cutter” mode – but if you can overlook those few parts and that it ends with a cliffhanger then woo-hoo, you found your book!

3.5 roller coaster stars!!!!

While Raven was exposed to the outside world, Rain wasn't, she was born with a blood disorder and denied many normal childhood experiences. Growing up, Raven became a lawyer working with her father on her father's firm, Kane & Medici, and Rain with her childhood friend Tommy Conte, built a very successful business as professional photographers.
Dominic is blinded by his need for revenge. He wants his father's share of Kane & Medici and to destroy it! He sent his men to kidnap Raven, but instead they kidnapped Rain.
I love the start of these two characters. Dominic is a very complicated person and Rain started off holding her own. But omg, along the way, both characters just got irritating. Their on again and off again relationship is giving me whiplash! Rain is so freaking naive, her relationship with Tommy is sweet and all but, I don't blame Dominic in getting jealous. And don't get me started about Dominic... oi!!!!
I enjoyed this book, really did... Love the storyline. It got me hooked from the start. It's hot and angsty... I think Rain and Dominic are the perfect pair. Hope they work through their character in the second book. And yes, it is a cliffy.

I love this book; I’m tempted to put this review down and go read it again. But alas, duty calls.
This book pulled me in from the beginning and held me until it chucked me out kicking and screaming at the end.
I LOVE Rain! This is a fact; she’s feisty, she takes no rubbish from anyone. This girl is kidnapped (Miss Taken identity) held against her will and still manages to give as good as she gets. I love the way she also stands up to Dominick! You go girl.
I actually do like Dominick and although he’s clearly a sandwich short of a picnic, I found myself wanting to take care of him. He’s a domineering alpha male who doesn’t know how to be anything else.
I love the story line and can see this moving on to be a fantastic series. This book has ended at the right time and you can clearly see the threads of the book coming together to move into book #2.
This book had me laughing, on the edge of my seat and so frustrated that I could have been Rain, I felt like I experienced it all with her.
The scenes were well written and that allowed me to completely loose myself in the book.
For a debut novel this author has seriously blown me away.

5+++ Miss Taken Stars
I simply loved this book !!!
I loved Dominick, and i loved Dominick and I truly damn loved Dominick..!!
Oh yeah sorry moving on, the story was really good. The plot twist was very well executed and characters very well defined. It's a shock to me but I read this identical twins theme for the first time and i pretty much loved it. The whole credit goes to the author, the story was so strong I just can't put down my Ipad.. It was a complete page-turner. It hooked me right from the very first page.
I was in that state of mind where we need a break from reading, but this book..!!! It completely changed my mind. I loved it. I desperately want to read the next book and then every other book written by Cleo :)

i enjoyed this book, okay now i am off to read the Book 2.

Identical twins Rain and Raven may look like one another, but they are different than night and day. Raven is a headstrong lawyer, engaged, and focused on her career. While Rain is more of a carefree photographer, who beats to her own drum.
Growing up Rain had a blood disorder that caused her family to keep her sheltered and overly coddled. Even though as an adult she has learned to keep her blood disorder under control, Rain still feels the tightening ropes of protection when she is with her family.
Kidnapped, Rain can't believe she was kidnapped. It's even worse when she realizes they think they took Raven. What transpires though once she meets her abductor Dominick Kane, neither see it coming.
Provocative, raw, and fierce. Dominick is a jerk, a total jerk with a capital A@*($&). He is intense, he realizes shortly after taking Rain who she is. He wants her, but is afraid to have her. He seduces, taunts, rejects, and relishes Rain. Rain is torn with the merry-go-round named Dominick, she wants to try to push the mistake he made aside and feel like the treasure only Dominick can covet, but every time she gives him a chance he tears a piece of her heart.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it is not a warm fuzzy read by any means but it is so good you can't put it down. I am anxious for the next one. I need some wine after this one.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review
This book has me so confused I should hate Dominick with a passion but I don't , at times I almost cried for him that's kinda messed up, this book was nothing like I would have predicted it was so much better and I loved the controlling sexy parts but I must say I was a little thrown by the skimming around words involved there for a steamy passionate book it threw me for a loop with books such as this I feel like if you are going to make it steamy go all out (maybe that's just me ) all in all I loved this book the storyline was great and holy hell what a cliffhanger, I was so excited to find out what happens guess I have to wait and see recommended for all you girls who like your man hot and a force to be reakoned with well done great book can't wait to find out what happens

What can I say? I don't believe in giving spoilers or much of the story line. That's what the synopsis is for. Lol. I will say this. Cleo left me on edge wanting to know what will happen next. Rain is a strong character, but extremely sensitive at the same time. Dominick is an extreme alpha with major mood swings that made me wonder why women are the ones that have to suffer through pms. Jiji. I enjoyed this read, it took me back to my first books. I am a huge romantic, and always want the best. Dominick was to intense and made Erie of what might happen. So many developments.
Cleo's writing made me smile. Her book was written in the style I would find myself writing if I could get over my what ifs. I am glad she gave herself thus chance. It was a nice story that lead to the basis of learning what control can cause in relationships. Something where over detailed and some lacked more info, yet the storyline still comes through strong. You will find yourself enjoying this characters, and go through some intense and at time annoying emotions. She leaves you wanting to know what will happen next. I admit I couldn't help myself from messaging her about Dominick's mood swings.
One more thing lol. Tommy, what is going to happen there? I need to know? Jiji.. So if you guys are intrigued by this book pick it up and give it a read. Definitely a give it a chance book. I personally enjoyed it, and loved the scenes with Italy. Made me confirm I want to go. Sorry I tend to lose myself when I read and ramble of all topics when I leave a review, but for me this is a good sign. Means I enjoyed the writers story and will continue reading her books until further notice. :)

One more thing lol. Tommy, what is going to happen there? I need to know? Jiji.. So if you guys are intrigued by this book pick it up and give it a read. Definitely a give it a chance book. I personally enjoyed it, and loved the scenes with Italy. Made me confirm I want to go. Sorry I tend to lose myself when I read and ramble of all topics when I leave a review, but for me this is a good sign. Means I enjoyed the writers story and will continue reading her books until further notice. :)

This was a fantastic read. I really enjoyed it and couldn't resist reading it all in one sitting.
Rain is a twin who for medical reasons has had a completely different life to her sister. When a case of mistaken identity results in Rain being kidnapped her life will never be the same again. Her kidnapper, Dominic, is s very sexy alpha male. Out for revenge he kidnaps Rain believing she is her sister.
This is a brilliant gripping read with a unique storyline. Be warned its got a whopper of a cliffhanger but all is good as book two is out now:) loved it.

I absolutely loved this book. I can not give anything away as it is not out yet. But I have to say this is a must read book. It grabbed me from the time I read the first line to the last line. I am very proud of Cleo and feel she will do well in her writing as she has a real talent for book writing.

I really enjoyed this story of crazy, sexy captor turned passionate lover! The air was filled with such a level of forbidden attraction and I loved every second of it. I appreciate it when an author ventures outside of the romance box. Even though it is risky and the outcome can go either way when an author ventures outside of said box, it can elevate the novel to a whole new level of awesomeness when it's done right. The tension was both sexually tantalizing and intense. This tale is about Rain, who happens to be a twin, but also has lived a sheltered life because of some medical issues she has. Rain was able to break from from the shackles that her family restrained her with, and began to live her life to the fullest. A case of missing identity, caused her to be thrown head first into being held captive by a mysterious, yet sexy adonis. Her feelings get thrown into a whirlwind of confusion, because the brooding sex god isn't treating her like she expected a captor would treat his captive. Dominick has his reasons for taking Rain, but what he doesn't know is that he kidnapped the wrong sister. What he finds in Rain, surprised him just as profoundly.
"It's extremely hard for me to focus with no space between us. He's my captor and yet I find him attractive. Which terrifies and disgusts me all at the same time." -Rain
Rain fights her troubling emotions, despite the electrifying feeling they give her deep inside. Eventually, her medical issues give her away, and Dominick finds out who she really is. The sexual tension is so much more delicious and intense, because it is so forbidden yet unquestionably inevitable.

Ahhh...what a sexy beast alpha male Dominick Kane is! Dominick can make me his any day of the week. This book took me on an unsuspecting ride of maddeningly passionate euphoria! The intense tension and mystery made for a truly pleasurable outcome. Rain and Dominick were constantly struggling to overlook the ever present feelings of how they used each other in the beginning. Just when your emotions hit what you think is the pinnacle point and there possible can't be anymore....you guessed it, there's MORE! The ending of this book left me on the verge of hair ripping madness. I usually hate cliffhangers, but this book provoked such an animated reaction out of me, that I couldn't hold a grudge. Way to leave a girl hanging Cleo! I appreciate the boundaries being pushed in this book, because for many people, overlooking being a captor and falling in love, is psychologically impossible. That just enhances my love for the journey all the more. I will be on stalking status for the next book. Go read this book everyone...you won't regret it!

Thank you Cleo Scornavacca for giving me the opportunity to read Miss Taken.
When I started reading Miss Taken, I didn’t know much about the story. But it captivated me after reading the first two pages. It’s something different. It broke my heart, it was full of romance, suspense, action everything you could possibly imagine. I’m so in love with this story, with the characters. They are well formed, close to reality, so close it’s consuming. Some parts need to just be a story, especially the ending, it’s to heartbreaking. But, to get to the story… We have two twin sisters Rain and Raven Medici. They look the same, but that’s all. They live different lives, Rain is a photographer and Raven it’s working from their dad’s law firm with her soon to be husband Michael.
Rain has always been secluded from the world because she has a blood disorder that has kept her leaving like she was supposed to. Her mother tried to keep her home, secluded, until she passed away. From that point Rain always traveled to Italy and is working with her best friend Tommy Conte. The relationship between these two it’s strange, they are best friends, but they love one another. Anyway, Rain decides to visit her family for a couple of days, before she leaves again for Italy. Getting ready to leave to the airport, Rain has a surprise, to say so. She get’s kidnapped and she doesn’t understand why. Arriving at her destination, Rain sees she has been kidnapped by none other than Dominick Kane. He was Vincent Kan’s son, but after his father passed away he left the firm to Rain’s father. At least that what he thinks happened.
Dominick put’s in motion a plan to kidnap Raven, in order to make the Medici family give him back his faire share of the law firm. But, after a while he discovers his plan hasn’t gone well through, because she kidnapped the wrong person, Rain. After seeing her for who she is they fall in love. From that point the situation goes backwards. They’re relationship it’s consuming, they are perfect for each other, but at the same time Dominick wants to control Rain and he can’t.
Rain decides to help him get his firm back, but is it a good idea? Especially know that she is falling in love with him? She tries to trust him, because this is the first time they both are truly in love, they have found they’re “Somewhere”.
Tommy Conte is a bad boy all the way around. He loves Rain, but they are just true friends and they work together. He would do anything to protect her, especially from Dominick. But, how can he make Rain see the truth, that Dominick doesn’t deserve her trust and love?
“So after all he put you through, Rain, you fucked him anyway”. Tommy hisses. “You never fucking listen.”
“Let’s face it Conte, you and Rain’s family would prefer her in that little tidy world you all control around her. Not allowing her to make her own decisions or letting her believe she can. You call it keeping her safe. I say it’s an excuse to keep her within arm’s reach. What you seem to forget is that Rain is a grown woman and if I’m one of the choices she has made then why can’t you just respect her decision? Especially, since you say you love her.”
“Listen, Kane, don’t give me any of your bullshit. You kidnapped Rain for your own selfish purposes. Granted, you thought she was Raven, but you didn’t let her go once you knew the truth or give her any options. Then you took her to bed and you continued to mind fuck her on a daily basis. Let’s see how much you care once you get Daddy’s little piece of the pie from Rain’s father. I have a feeling I will be picking up those pieces for a very long time.”
I loved this book so much and I can’t wait to read the next installment. It ended with a huge cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Rain is a strong girl. After what she has been through I expected a whiny girl, but I got a fighter instead. She spoke her mind and dealt with the problems they way she thought was best. She tried to make the best of every situation, even if they never ended they way she wanted them to. Dominick has a lot work to do. I felt sorry for him at one point, realizing he never been loved they way he is by Rain. His family treated him badly, especially his mom. He doesn’t know how to control his temper, but Rain it’s great to him. At some point, especially at the ending of the book, I wanted to jump into the story and slap him. I couldn’t believe Cleo ended the story right at a point where I wanted more. I really hope, in the next book I get the chance to see these two figuring out their problems. Again, thank you for the opportunity! I highly recommend this book! It deserves so much more than five stars!

What can I say? I really, really, really liked Miss Taken! From the title to the story! I took 0.5 stars for some minor issues, but they aren’t even worth mentioning…
This is not your typical abduction story. Starting with the abductor, Dominick is not a mean man, on the contrary he is caring and loveable and you can’t help falling in love with his domintant, sometimes jerkish ways.
I loved to see him and Rain. Rain couldn’t be more different from her twin, Raven. And that’s where the attraction between her and Dominick lies. Rain is the perfectg woman for Dominick and although she likes his dominance she doesn’t fall for his bullshit!
Dominick pissed me off sometimes, because he is so jealous of her every move, but deep inside it’s just his fear of being abandomned by Rain. He believes his father abandomned him, even though all the evidence points to the contrary!
The man he knew as him father is very different from the man Rain knew growing up and he starts realizing his conceptions might be wrong.
This story intrigued me since I’ve read its blurb. It is intriguing and it helds a touch of mystery to it, since we never know what will happen and how someone might turn out to be the villain or not…But we are not talking about mean, bad Disney movies villain. After all at some point we all might be villains, to our ownselves or to others.
I love Rain! She is a strong and intelligent character. Even when she gives in to Dominick’s dominance she is doing it knowing what she’s doing! I also loved Tommy! I sense more into his and Rain’s relationship, like Tommy really loving Rain, but who knows?
I can’t wait for book 2, Identity!!! There were some unexpected twists and turns towards the end of Miss Taken and I can’t wait to see how Rain and Dominick will deal with them! I know Rain will have to have some patience with Dominick for sure, after all he is not used to things being out of his control. He is used to be the master of the courtroom, his home and his lovers. Rain came and like a snowball, she started to grow more and more into his life. Now, I can’t picture him living withtout her!
This is not a dark story, not at all, but it doesn’t make it less good. Just the opposite, this story is perfect the way it’s written, I don’t think the dark, taboo stuff I love so much would have fitted here as good as the actual story does. There’s intensity, there’s love, there’s hate, but there’s also friendship and loyalty and some pretty steamy scenes (prepare to fan yourselves ladies!!!)
I can’t wait for more of Cleo’s writing! I’ll be waiting patiently for more of her work!!!

Miss Taken by Cleo Scornavacca was a pretty interesting and exciting read. I read it in one short day. I just couldn't tear myself away from this book. I was so anxious while reading it to see how it would end. It kept me guessing and threw me for quite a few loops.
Rain and Raven our identical twins. They come from a warm and loving home. Rain suffers from a rare blood disorder and her mother isolated her from the outside world. Both are college educated Raven became a lawyer working with their father and Rain became a photographer working with her best friend Tommy. Rain becomes a victim of mistaken identity. As she is leaving for Italy she is kidnapped. Dominick has taken her thinking she is Raven. He has no idea that Raven is a twin. Dominick want something from Raven and Rains father and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Rain never corrects their mistake. She fears for what may happen to her if he learns her true identity. Once Dominick knows who she truly is she strikes a deal for her freedom. All she has to do is be with him and help him get what he needs from her father. Sounds like a piece of cake! Hardly, Dominick's need to control the situation could risk everything he has carefully planned.
Rain is such a lovable character. She is smart and strong. She sees Dominick for exactly who he is. He is damaged and in need of unconditional love. Rain is just the women to provide it. She doesn't care what anyone thinks. She doesn't want to be controlled any longer, except by Dominick. She craves it from him. Dominick is the love them and leave them kind of guy. As she is leaving for Italy she is kidnapped. Dominick has taken her thinking she is Raven. He has no idea that Raven is a twin. Dominick want something from Raven and Rains father and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it. Rain never corrects their mistake. She fears for what may happen to her if he learns her true identity. Once Dominick knows who she truly is she strikes a deal for her freedom. All she has to do is be with him and help him get what he needs from her father. Sounds like a piece of cake! Hardly, Dominick's need to control the situation could risk everything he has carefully planned.
Rain is such a lovable character. She is smart and strong. She sees Dominick for exactly who he is. He is damaged and in need of unconditional love. Rain is just the women to provide it. She doesn't care what anyone thinks. She doesn't want to be controlled any longer, except by Dominick. She craves it from him. Dominick is the love them and leave them kind of guy. I would like to start off by saying this is the authors debut novel and I thought she did a great job.
This novel was quite complex and filled with many twists and turns that keeps the reader on his/her toes. You have Dominick, the dark and controlling alpha male who kidnaps Rain, the innocent yet feisty free spirited beauty. Initially they don’t get along as Rain realizes the severity of the situation and despises Dominick for what he’s done. But as any dominant male would, Dominick orders Rain to spend time with him and eventually they begin a crazy destructive affair. And when I say the sex is hot….its BOILING OVER!
Please note that the book does end with a cliffhanger and book two is being written as we speak. Cliffhangers don’t really bother me personally, but I know some rather wait until the sequel is out.

I received this book as a gift from the author for an honest review and I have to say that is was a remarkable read. A definite must read. The details put forth about the characters and the places they visit make me want to hop on a plane and fly down to Italy. In her debut novel, Scornavacca, story unfolds with a kidnapping, lies, deceit, love and hate. Not sure if you want to hate the antagonist or fall in love with him yourself.
Revenge is said to be bitter sweet, but when that revenge eats away at your soul and destroys the one person who could love you for all that you are, is it really worth it. Trying to get what he thinks is rightful his, share in his father’s company, Dominick Kane devices a plan to kidnapped Raven Medici, the daughter of his father’s partner at the law firm. Will he let go of this vendetta he has and accept the love she is willing to give without becoming what her family was to her, controlling? I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

I love Indie authors, but sometimes I am a bit skeptical and I don't know what to expect when I read their work. This book is fantastic! It was not what I was expecting and it was not the same ole', same ole' in the NA genre! This book is a great, ugly romance that will make you throw your E-reader against the wall.
Like the blurb says twins Raven and Rain Medici are identical. Other than their looks they are total opposites. Their dad is a big time lawyer who is very overprotective especially with Rain. On her way to Capri, Italy she is abducted by Vincent Kane for ransom. Little does he know he has taken the wrong sister.
Rain Medici just wants to get to Capri for a small vacation from her family so she can get some great pictures for her upcoming show and relax. On her way to Capri something goes terribly wrong.
Vincent Kane wants revenge and he thinks he has kidnapped Raven, the lawyer so that he can get his share of their dad's law firm Medici and Kane. He is so hell bent on this that he doesn't care who he hurts....until he meets Rain.
They form a very unlikely, and sometimes very unrealistic, relationship. As the days grow longer, their bond grows stronger and we see a very beautiful and dangerous relationship.
Vincent is striking, dangerous and romantic. He is so intense. He is Christian Grey times 100! His intentions with Rain are malicious at first, but as their relationship grows it becomes more gentle and loving.
I enjoyed seeing the battle of wills between the two of them. They constantly tested each others boundaries.
Before I knew it I was in his arms against the bathroom wall. Then he got close, too close. "Do you want me to show you or are you going to behave?" My lips slightly part, my breath hitches and I stare into his eyes. I say nothing.
"Good, now get ready for bed." He grins and lowers me
my feet slowly before he releases me and leaves the room.
I am so affected. Shit! That can't happen again.
This is a great love story. Not very conventional, but its great! The only hang-up I have is the ending! CLIFFHANGER!!! ARGH! But, I can't wait to read the next book!!! This book gets a 4.5! Great book!

Rain and Raven are identical twins, but that is where the similarities end. Raven likes to be in control where she works at there dad's law firm as a lawyer, and Rain after being confined for most of her childhood is a photographer and is very good at it.
Now enter Dominick Kane.... OMG he is alpha to the max more so then most alphas in books I think he can take things to the extreme, all he wants is revenge against the people he things did him wrong. He wants his dad's share in Kane and Medici and then bring it to the ground. So he comes up with this plan to kidnap Raven, but instead he gets Rain and has no idea.
I really liked Rain but with most girls in this books I just wanted to punch her in the face sometimes, I get she didn't have an easy childhood being cooped up inside with only her family and Tommy as company, her mum taking overprotective to a whole new level. Dominick man as I said Alpha to the max total anger issues, control issues, and just issues in general.
Once Dominick realizes his mistake he is livid but they work out a compromise and things progress from there. Their relationship gave me a headache the on again off again because one of them went off the deep end and wouldn't listen to the other taking things the wrong way etc, I get this happens in relationships hell I've done this so as hubby, but shit can only take so much before you get a migraine. Rain's relationship with Tommy I understood but still found it weird how dependent she was on him even though she was with Dominick who should have being the one to take care of her if she let him.
Right from the start it takes you on a wild ride the twists and turns, ups and downs, as I said its a wild ride but well worth it I really enjoyed it the ending oh my the ending I loved it but I will warn you its a cliffhanger of sorts I cannot wait for book 2 I need book 2 I want to see what happens next and how the characters react and where the story takes us next.

This is the first time I am reading anything by Cleo and I must say that I am very impressed by her writing. Intentionally I found the story a little slow but it quickly turned and I found myself entranced and unable to stop turning the page. If you are looking for an author to add to your pile, then I would definitely recommend Cleo and her Miss Taken Series J. Now to get to the good stuff, my review for Miss Taken:
In the beginning you find Rain preparing for a trip to Italy and finds herself kidnapped. She isn't sure whether her friend, who you get the feeling that she likes as more than a friend, Tommy has something to do with this but then quickly realizes that he wouldn't and is afraid for her life. When she awakes, she is no longer blindfolded but finds that the type of food being laid out for her is a little "fancy" for a hostage situation. Despite being hungry she feels like it is probably a trick and they want to poison her. But when she finds out they think she is Raven, instead of giving her true identity she keeps up allowing him to think she is who he thinks.
Dominick is fighting for what he believes was stolen from him and will do whatever he can to get it back, even if that means taking the daughter of his enemy. At times, he is so domineering and jealous and find yourself mad at him but the way Rain and Dominick feel for each other makes you root for them. There are definite twists to the story so I am awaiting the second book in the series "Identity". I can't wait to see what happens for Rain and Dominick.
This is the first time I am reading anything by Cleo and I must say that I am very impressed by her writing. Intentionally I found the story a little slow but it quickly turned and I found myself entranced and unable to stop turning the page. If you are looking for an author to add to your pile, then I would definitely recommend Cleo and her Miss Taken Series J. Now to get to the good stuff, my review for Miss Taken:
In the beginning you find Rain preparing for a trip to Italy and finds herself kidnapped. She isn't sure whether her friend, who you get the feeling that she likes as more than a friend, Tommy has something to do with this but then quickly realizes that he wouldn't and is afraid for her life. When she awakes, she is no longer blindfolded but finds that the type of food being laid out for her is a little "fancy" for a hostage situation. Despite being hungry she feels like it is probably a trick and they want to poison her. But when she finds out they think she is Raven, instead of giving her true identity she keeps up allowing him to think she is who he thinks.
Dominick is fighting for what he believes was stolen from him and will do whatever he can to get it back, even if that means taking the daughter of his enemy. Rain is a professional photographer who lived an extremely sheltered life as a child. She has Tommy ( her best friend), her Dad, her twin sister Raven, and Mike ( Tommy's brother and Ravens fiance). As an adult she is growing in life and enjoying the freedom of her chosen lifestyle. She is leaving to go Italy for a few months to work and relax. She is a feisty and sassy lady who loves hard and loves true!
" I should've never met Dominick Kane, and now I don't know how to forget him"
Dominick wants what was taken from him and has a ;plan to get it! Or at least he thought that plan would work out. Now it will have to all change, because he kidnapped the wrong Miss Medici! Dominick is a possessive, strong, sexy, hot talkin, troubled, broken man.
"Rain, I'm not going to keep you locked away forever. I'm going to make you mine"
The story is filled with ups, downs, love, hate, loyalty, surprises, true friendships and a twist I never expected. Complete Awesomeness!

I was captivated by this story! I read it in one day. The entire story line, characters, ( I even loved Anna and Joseph being in the mix), descriptive writing, suspense of what would unfold next, the sexy scenes, everything about this book was awesome. The ending left me thinking and craving the next book in the series. I highly recommend one clicking and get lost in Rain and Dominick's world!
Thats it Rain, just feel it. Your body is so beautiful and was made just for me. You always respond when I touch you.

Let me just say...I LOVED THIS BOOK. For a debut novel, Cleo really breaks the barrier into the world of authors with a fabulous first read. For a first time author I didn't really know what to expect, but Cleo exceeded all my expectations and more!
Miss Taken captures your attention from the first page until the very end and even then all you want to do is keep reading. The characters are well thought out and the dynamics are great.
Rain Medici, twin of Raven, is kidnapped in a bizarre care of mistaken identity and revenge by Dominick Kane, the son of their father's late business partner. Rain, although feisty and strong willed is a survivor of parental confinement. Therefore she knows she cannot be locked up for long. So what does Rain do? Strikes a deal with Dominick Kane, the man who has not only kidnapped her and held her against her will, but also who she is strongly attracted to.
Dominick is also fighting his growing attraction to Rain. Although he has kidnapped the wrong girl and his plan has gone semi awry, he decides to roll with the punches, so to speak, and use that very same attraction to his advantage and seduce her.
The chemistry between Rain and Dominick is undeniable but neither of them are prepared for is the fact that the heart wants who it wants and sometimes falling in love is uncontrollable. Who could ever imagine a man with a vendetta and the woman he has kidnapped falling in love?

4 "FINDING YOUR SOMEWHERE" STARS REVIEW
Rain Medici is easy to love. Born with a blood disease Rain grew up sheltered, constantly monitored and truly overprotected by everyone. Throughout the years she's fought for her independence and so far she's won.
Dominic is truly a controlling alpha male with a temper. It's easy to want hate him for kidnapping Rain, laugh at him for clearly not doing his homework on Medici family, loving him for his sweet and gentle side, and then back to being irritated.
"Some people go their whole lives searching for something. A job, money, power. Sometimes they're searching for that special person. They're looking for a place they can make their own. Everybody wants to have something special, be somewhere in life. That they can call their own." He lifts my chin and gazing intensely in my eyes. "You, baby are that for me. Rain, you are my "somewhere."
I was hooked from the start. As the story plays out and you find yourself wrapped up in the love affair of Rain and Dominic only to find that the story takes twist, that I honestly didn't see coming. Just when your getting past the initial twist, then another twist and another.
I was left in shock wondering what happens now. Part of me wants to keep rooting for Dominic. However, Cleo Scornavacca did a great job leaving us wondering about Rain's best friend, Tommy Conte. Will he be her saving grace or will Dominic realize that his somewhere is with Rain?

Where do I start? I have managed to complete this book in a day and not even a full day; this book has drawn me in and held me captive in many ways like Rain was held captive by Dominick. Miss Taken has a unique story line and is something which I have not come across before. The story had me gripped from chapter two, which to be fair is very difficult when a book is not a stand-alone novel.
I loved the characters in this book, Rain is a woman who has been controlled all her life, all she wants is to be independent and have the chance to make her own decisions in life. She is a strong determined woman, but just like many of us has a soft side leaving her open to the powers of manipulation. Rain tried hard not to fall for her captor Dominick is a man who lives for control and gets exactly what he wants. I have had very mixed feelings towards Dominick at times I found myself really despising him and really wanting to slap him! However at other times I felt so much compassion towards him and how his life could have been very different without all the rage he carried with him. My only criticism with this is that I felt the characters could have been polished of slightly but this may be because we still have so much more to learn about them.

Good story, but needs a little polish ...
Miss Taken is the story of Rain Medici and Dominick Kane, two people who come from totally different backgrounds. Whilst Rain’s childhood was loving but controlled, Dominick’s was loveless. Dominick is hell bent on control and revenge, so he hatches a plan to kidnap Rain’s twin sister Raven. However things go wrong and instead they kidnap the wrong sister. When he discovers that he’s kidnapped Rain instead of Raven he annoyed but is still hell bent on going through with his plan for revenge using Rain.
The story line is a great one and I was kept interested throughout the book. My only criticism would be that there are many grammatical issues with the book and it needs a little polish. I felt that I was told how dominating and controlling Dominick was but I didn’t feel it. There needs to be a little more character development which I am hoping will come in the second book.
There are many unanswered questions at the ending of this book which I am hoping will be answered in the second book of the series. I have to say that I am looking forward to reading it and hope that it comes out soon. This book does contain a cliff hanger ending and its quite a big one. I would recommend this book to someone who is looking for a light, interesting and romance type novel. I give this read a 3.75 star rating rounded up to 4 stars.

"Miss Taken" took me by suprise. Who would have thought you could fall in love with someone that kidnaps you? You would think I was crazy, but I totally get it! It was an interesting story and I actually love how they fit together.
Dominick is controlling and always in charge, but it was also kind of Hot that he knows exactly what he wants and pretty much takes it... that could be scary at times..so are you ok with be submissive?
Rain, is loveable and gentle. I love her caring personality, but she can also be sassy. She doesn't put up with crap and will knee you in the balls if she doesn't like what you have to say. I love it!
They are definitely oil and water, but mix well together. I loved the story, but the only thing that bothered me a bit was the love him one minute to hating him to the next. It was like playing tug a war with my heart. I just wanted them to finally be together...or just hook up with Tommy already!! You can tell he totally loves her!!
Well, I am disappointed that it ended. I need to know what is going to happen and who is Rain going to end up with?? Dang it Cleo! I want some more!! Can't wait for the next book!
