This reform helped Japan become one of the strong powers of the world, and it marked the beginning of modernization of Japan. Meiji restoration is both a beginning of an era and an end of an era. As Mao Danqing said, like Japanese people are familiar with the history of the three kingdoms, as we know the entrepreneurs during the Meiji restoration period, we also need remember terminators like Tokugawa Yoshinobu, and we also need learn experiences and lessons from Meiji restoration.
