4.5 KICKASS XMAS STARS
This was sexy, hot and amusing little holiday read.
It's a story about Anne-Marie a sassy little Miss who is feeling pressured into marriage to Mark, a man she has always considered to be her brother. Her father is expecting them to marry at Christmas. To escape this she enlisted the help of her bff Cynthia.
Cynthia sets her up on a private Island for the holidays.
Little did Anne-Marie know that she had a major holiday manipulation in mind, as she also send her brother Tanner to the island to avoid his own holiday nightmare.
Tanner and Anne-Marie have had unexplored and undeclared feelings for one another for a few years now.
All it took was one look for Tanner to declare;
"You ever been fucked by a real man Anna-Maria? Because if you're on this island after sundown there's a good chance you'll know what it feels like to have ten inches of steel in your belly."
And the very confused and aroused Anne-Marie thinks:
"I'm going to die on this island, that's it, Tanner Reid was sent here on a mission to destroy the cooch because I was a naughty girl for pulling a runner."
Now will these two would be lovers make it through the holidays without giving in to their desires!?
I'm not telling, but the results are SIMULATING!
The whole story was HOT and FUNNY. I enjoyed every dysfunctional minute of it. At the end it even had an epic smack down before the sweet ending that had me saying ONLY AT CHRISTMAS!

Safety: no cheating he has been celibate for 2 years since he noticed the heroine, some light drama, no pushing or pulling. Perfect!

Anna and Tanner. This was cute fluff, but honestly I skimmed a fair bit as it was pretty boring. Especially the OTT evil OW wannabe who was obviously just put in the story to cause strife, but not really.
Anna is about to be wed to her best friend on their father's insistence, when she escapes to her best friend's island retreat. Little does she know, her BFF has designs to match-make Anna with her older brother Tanner. Tanner has harboured an obsession for Anna for the last two years, but was just waiting for her to grow up. It's all OTT and I liked it at first but then got bored with how utterly predictable it was.

Anna is 18 years old, she lives in a small town and her Dad is the town Doctor. Her Dad expects her to marry her friend since childhood, Mark on Christmas Day. Anna doesn't want to marry Mark, she loves him like a brother but has no romantic feelings towards him. Her best friend, Cynthia comes up with a plan to sneak her out of the house and keep her hidden on her family's private island. Tanner Reid comes from a very rich family. He has just retired from being a Navy Seal and he's preparing to take over his Father's company. Not wanting to go home for the holidays he decides to spend Christmas alone on his island that his Grandparents left to him. He doesn't expect to see his little sister's best friend, Anna there. The woman he's secretly been lusting after since she was 16 and too young to approach.

While I wasn’t very interested in reading this book I was pleasantly surprised that the FMC was so funny. The storyline didn’t do it for me at all. The MMC’s sister arranging his love life was a hard pass for me. The MMC was supposedly in love with the FMC for years but had no intention of going after her now that he was retired from the military. Yeah okay.
Anyway, the FMC was very childish but I loved her wittiness and her banter. It was worth reading at least once. Enjoy.

What can I say? I like Jordan Silver's brash, swearing writing style. Unfortunately this wasn't as good as some of her other books like Talon's Heart so I only gave it 3 stars.

It's short but perfect if you just want something sweet, hot and a little bit funny, it's not that great of a story.. but it's entertaining!! :D

Talking down cooch 😂
Reminds me of another book with another cooch....😆 There was no editing to tell you who's POV it was but it wasn't hard to tell. H was caveman, controlling, crazy. The h was sweet but spunky n could take care of herself. She tends to talk to her hooha. LOL! The OW drama was ridiculous n the main plot drama was a nonstarter.

This book was worth reading just to read the phrase: "sham wow panties now"
The end was dumb as fuck, but Ms. Silver had to let you all know that someone is a crazy jealous freak in the relationship.
