If she can claim her inheritance, Marley Sullivan will have a chance to finally own the pub she has worked hard to make a success. All she has to is put up with sexy Hunter O'Malley for six monthswithout falling in love. Hunter thinks being stuck working at his familys bar for six months is a fate worse than death. If he could get Marley to stop using her ever-so-kissable mouth for something other than ordering him around, it might not be so bad. But when heated tempers lead to hot lust, will six months be long enough?
Arianna Hart enjoys spending time with her family, reading anything she can get her hands on, and of course writing! She’d love to spend her days on a beach with a drink in one hand and a book in the other, but until she wins the lottery she’ll just have to settle for chasing her girls around the pool.
Hunter O'Malley arrives to the reading of his fathers will only to find out that in order to inherit he has to work in O'Malley's bar for six month. If he refuses he will not inherit and neither will Marly. Hunter is not too happy about this. He is an up and coming race car driver and he does not want to put his life on hold this long. Marly has worked at O'Malley's for 5 years and considers this her home. She had a rough childhood and never had a real home. From the beginning she gives Hunter a hard time to fight off her attraction to him. She knows that his future plans are too different from hers. But Hunter is attracted to her and finally wears her down. Just when Marly thinks that there is a chance for them, Hunter gets an offer to race. She is upset with him because she wants him to have the same future plans that she has.In the end they both learn that part of a relationship is being able to compromise. This was a sensual and emotional story. Lots of sexual tension between likable H/H.
I saw this book title by accident when i was reading Chase series and thought of just trying this one. The synopsis in goodreads was also interesting. And the book is entertaining, a light romantic read....an ordinary romance with some conflicts but which makes you happy and lighthearted while reading. Obviously, no need to say about the ending which i loved....a happily-ever-after one!! I enjoyed the book from start to finish.....the chemistry between Marley and Hunter is instant and inflammable. I enjoyed Marley and Hunter's characters. Marley Sullivan and Hunter O'Malley are unwillingly tied together to the O'Malley's pub for six months by Hunter's father so that they can claim their inheritance according to the will. Marley will have a chance to finally own the pub she has worked hard to make a success. All she had to do was put up with Hunter for six months without falling in love with him. Hunter is a race car driver who is passionate about it and just wants to leave from the family pub so he can start his big career. Marley's character was touching, even with a horrible mother and a past, she overcomes everything and makes a success out of life on her own terms. When Marley and Hunter start falling in love for each other, She is scared to trust Hunter to not leave her when he has to leave after the will period. But, the relationship between them develops into a strong one soon and they both realize what is important to them in their life and it is always possible for both of them to achieve their different dreams by being together. Hmmm..so that was a good one..i don't know why less people have read the book by seeing the rating...i loved reading it and recommend it to all romance lovers!!
An okay story, but I didn't feel the author every really explained why there was such initial animosity between Marley and Hunter at the beginning. And why on earth did Hunter put up with his slimy, underhanded, disgusting agent? The romance was also just okay; I didn't really feel any sparks between them, except for the scene where Hunter is going through his mother's things.
This is the first book I read by Arianna Hart. I felt sorry for Marley. I didn't like Marley's mother. I thought Hunter's father was clever. It kept me interested from the beginning to the end. I'm glad I purchased this book.
