Emma has a knack for getting herself into embarrassing situations – after accidentally setting her own apartment on fire, she receives a generous offer from her employer, the billionaire playboy Eric Gambit, to live in his pool house for free, complete with her own driver, and welcome to anything else she might need…
And wow, Eric Gambit has such a beautiful estate, gosh - that pool is really something; Emma’s in heaven.
Maybe, just this one time, she’ll go skinny-dipping…
Way too short-when you get to the end, that's when you think, "oh, here's where the really interesting part should begin" once they get together. But then the book stops. Where do the characters go from there? And as for Eric's character, I find it hard to believe he is an intelligent businessman-he's just really not written that way. If a partial story with one sex scene with very underdeveloped characters is what you're looking for, then you've found it. My advice would be to just pass on this one.
As far as shorts go it was good, but not great and way too predictable. The only surprise was the lie told about the previous assistant. Chloe Kane is a good writer. I did like the story and if you come across it definitely read it. I am just saying there is better out there for me.
