I absolutely love football!!!
Together with F1 it’s my sport of choice.
If my favorite team is playing, it’s safe to assume that I’m sitting in front of my TV (or laptop or phone) or am at the stadium.
And because one of my best friends is the greatest I even got to visit the VIP lounge and meet all the players once.
So, a fanfiction that combines football with One Direction? Yeah, I was always bound to like it!
And when you merge funny writing, loveable yet relatable characters, on point chemistry and all the pining you can imagine with the fake dating trope and one of the sweetest endings ever, you have my almost perfect book.
What keeps Pull me under from being a full 5 stars, however, is the epilogue. It is a little too lengthy for my liking and includes the povs from Harry (which I enjoyed immensely), Zayn and Jaime. I did not care for the latter two whatsoever.
The communication between Harry and Louis isn’t the best either. Sometimes they even act like it is the hardest thing ever, which is a bit frustrating, I’m not going to lie. But fortunately, all the ensuing angst was exactly what I needed at the time as I couldn’t stop reading and it transported me from my stressful school life directly into the story.
But all the fangirling aside, the representation of queer people in sports is incredibly important!!!
In the story Louis is the first premier league player who comes out at the prime of his career. And even in real life I can’t think of a famous and recognizable name in sports who is openly gay. (I’m talking about the more watched men teams here because it seems, to me at least, that female teams are more diverse in this aspect.) So, this inclusion is strongly appreciated!

This is one of the best Larry fics I have ever read and I love going back to this one. I have always been a sucker for the fake relationship turned real trope. Sorry not sorry. Also lots and lots of pining. Which is half frustrating and half cute. The Coda/Epilogue is worth all the pain though. Yay.

i loved the book so much.
Unfortunately I can only give 4 stars because I was missing something. I don't know what it was, but something was missing from the story.
I especially loved the development between Harry and Louis and the aesthetic of the book itself. It's a beautiful love story between Louis and Harry and I loved the Zayn and Liam side story.
I also understand why Louis and Harry acted the way they did, since sometimes that's how it seems to the other when you don't have the insight that you as a reader have. As a result, I found the development between the two very tangible.
(I loved Niall too, especially when he let Harry in)
Overall I missed something in the story, but unfortunately I can't say what.
But I still loved the story.

Leider kann ich nur 4 Sterne geben, da mir irgendwas gefehlt hat. Ich weiß nicht, was es war, aber etwas hat mir in der Geschichte gefehlt.
Ich habe vor allem die Entwicklung zwischen Harry und Louis geliebt, sowie die Ästhetik des Buches an sich. Es ist eine wunderschöne Liebesgeschichte zwischen Louis und Harry und ich habe die Nebengeschichte von Zayn und Liam geliebt.
Ich verstehe auch, wieso Louis und Harry so gehandelt haben, wie sie gehandelt haben, da es manchmal für den anderen nunmal so wirkt, wenn man nicht die Einsicht hat, die man als Leser hat. Dadurch fand ich die Entwicklung zwischen den beiden sehr greifbar.
(Ich habe auch Niall geliebt, vor allem, als er Harry hat einsteigen lassen)
Im ganzen hat mir irgendetwas in der Geschichte gefehlt, jedoch kann ich leider nicht sagen was.
Aber ich habe die Geschichte trotzdem geliebt.

Pretty good fan fiction. The only issue I had was with the angst length. The novel could have used some tightening.

Le doy 3 estrellas en seco por dos razones: leí una traducción (mi error) que no le hizo justicia y la segunda razón, es que a veces se sentía enredado (quizás por la traducción) o porque había mucho texto en donde las ideas desvariaban más que ir a un punto.

The whole story is just delicately beautiful! The coming out, navigating it, Louis's feelings and doubts and insecurities ! Absolutely loved how Harry helped him through it all! How much they loved each other in their own way! was really an amazing book to read! Can always believe zarah5 would deliver a beautiful love story

Not the worst but also not the best, cute plot, the end was a bit meh, didn’t bother read the story extra chapter at the end. over all it was a good story.

3.5 bc the last two chapters were kinda meh to me ngl . Like. The way the story was closed/Ended wasn't as great as the rest of the novel. Idk.
But for the rest,I really enjoyed this one. It was an almost 4 stars. The tension between the mc was really compelling and N***, fuck u

This was cute, but the big full on sex scene was left till the end by which time I felt less enthused and interested. Ok read. It's since been published.
