Her translation into Malayalam of Jayasree Misra’s Ancient Promises is widely appreciated, and she has received many awards for her short stories. She works at the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

മലയാളത്തിലെ ഉത്തരാധുനിക ചെറുകഥാകൃത്തുക്കളിൽ ഒരാള്‍. ചേര്‍ത്തലയിലെ എരമല്ലൂരില്‍ ജനനം. മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി യൂനിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഓഫീസിൽ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥയായിരുന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ കുസാറ്റിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു. മകൻ കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണി.
ജാഗരൂഗ എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിനു് മികച്ച ചെറുകഥാ സമാഹാരത്തിനുള്ള കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് (2004),അമ്മേം കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണീം കുഞ്ഞുണ്ണീമമ്മേം എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിനു് മികച്ച ബാലസാഹിത്യത്തിനുള്ള സിദ്ധാർത്‍ഥ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ പുരസ്കാരം (2012) എന്നിവ ലഭിച്ചു.

Priya A.S. is one of the few contemporary writers who has the ability to touch your heart through simple words and narration style. This is the first book I read written by her. Though small, this book will be a great choice to widen your perspective about everything happening around us.
