This part picks up where the last one left off. This one doesn’t have the nonstop action that the first one had and takes place entirely in the alternate universe. You get a glimpse of what the other side is really like by following a group of rebels. The characterization develops as you go along. I definitely would recommend reading them close together if you can. I was a little lost since there was a gap from reading the first one. I like the alternative universe concept and will keep following it.

Brian is sent back to the alternate reality. The entire book takes place there and this world becomes more understandabe. Brian thinks he is dreaming and is waiting to wake up. I am interested to read the next 2 parts to see where this is going.
