Probability Chain tells the enticing story of Brian Dore, a young teenager whose life is turned upside down on the night his guardian is killed. On this same night, a mysterious note is left for Brian and it states that the police will arrive at his home in time. Another letter is also left at the hotel that Brian begins to stay at, along with a strange bottle of pills. Brian takes just one and a chain of events begins to unfold. This one pill sends Brian to a second reality, a world similar to our own and yet completely different. In this strange new universe he meets a girl named Raivine and is entangled in this world's complicated events. However, he is somehow pulled back to his own reality. It is soon revealed that the company Omega, which Brian has an internship with, knows quite a bit about the strange anomaly of being able to enter different realities and the company knows a lot more about Brian than he does himself. Brian is soon forced to return to this other world and joins the Resistance, a group set on restoring order and ending a war that should never have begun. The occurrences and events that will take place in this world will send Brian on a journey to understand himself and discover who he truly is.
Probability Chain was a great story that was filled with twists and turns. The Mystic was definitely a very interesting character that was introduced and was a nice twist to the story. I truly loved the action, suspense, and mystery that surrounded Brian as he tried to figure out how to survive in this new world. The ending was something I didn't actually expect even as I guessed the identity of the Mystic. I would like to commend the author for creating such an interesting story that so many will enjoy. I would also like the thank the author for a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Probability Chain was a great story that was filled with twists and turns. The Mystic was definitely a very interesting character that was introduced and was a nice twist to the story. I truly loved the action, suspense, and mystery that surrounded Brian as he tried to figure out how to survive in this new world. Having already done the review for Part 1, it was a simple solution to review the complete first book! I absolutely was hooked and so sad that Part 1 ended! So, here's what happens without telling you what happens!
Brian Dore's life is turned upside down when his guardian is murdered. Almost being murdered himself, trying to stop the killer starts a chain of reactions Brian wasn't prepared for! A note where his gun should have been, a girl in the hospital claims to know him, another note found by some pills at his hotel room, and that's just the beginning. Brian takes one of the pills and is pulled into an alternate reality, where he find the same girl and is in utter disbelief.
Omega, the company Brian interned for is after him, the pills are top secret, and he was seen coming out of the lower most level of the office with the pills. How'd he get in there without setting off alarms? Omega, know a lot more than they're letting on about these pills and how jumping realities is possible.
Back in the alternate reality, Brian gets caught up in the twists and turns and joins the Revolution, to help stop a war that should have never began in the first place. Survival is key, and Brian must learn more about himself in order to stay alive.
The best part was the mystery character. Can you guess the identity? I thought I knew, but was surprised.
Twists and turns, plot changes, and more are all throughout Probability Chain. You can't ever be sure what's going to happen, because once you think something it's bound to change! Regan Keeter did a phenomenal job keeping the reader hooked and in complete suspense. Can't wait to read more!

I got this book for free from the author, Regan Keeter, after I reviewed the first part of the novel a few months back. I am very happy that he gifted me this novel and I got the chance to read it.
"Probability Chain" is about Brian, a teenager, who recently had someone very important to him get murdered. Brian is sent to a hotel the night after it happens and he discovers some pills that were left for him. He doesn't know who left them and if they are safe, but he chooses to take them because of how upset he is after everything that has happened. Brian wakes up in a new world, which he believes is a dream. However after he wakes up again, he is brought to a lab to be questioned and he is forced to question what he believes in.
I did like the whole alternate universes part of this story. I liked that even in the first part that I read before. I was very curious to see how it was done, and I wasn't disappointed. I just wish that I could have read more about that one world, and that one would have been developed more.
Brian is a very relatable characters, and I feel like others will like him. I think people who are big fans of dystopias will like this book a lot given how the other world is.
The main problem I had with this book was how the alternate world was not well developed. It wasn't explained how it turned out that way, and I would have loved to know that. I would have also liked to know more of the things that Leon Chricton did to the people.
Overall I would give this book three out of five stars.

I began reading the first part of this book because I received a free copy of it through Goodreads. I didn't anticipate that I would enjoy it as much as I did and definitely look forward to reading the remaining parts.
I didn't know what to expect from a book called Probability Chain, but I was intrigued to discover that it was about time travel, or dimension jumping. The story began with the attention-grabbing appearance of Raven in the middle of an intersection with her throat slit, and it just soared from there.
I don't read too many books about this topic, but the story line kept me interested, engaged and wondering what was going to happen next. A good portion of the book, for me, was dedicated to figuring out where Brian was in this alternate dimension as well as trying to keep the overall timeline of events straight when he jumped back to before John Flander's murder. Especially towards the end, when the 'robed one' kept making appearances and discussed this "other" Brian Dore that had been there prior - my mind was swimming a bit, but the author did a great job of pulling it all together with an ending that definitely caught me off guard.
Overall, definitely a worthwhile read. Especially if you are looking for a book that you'll have a hard time putting down.

After reading Part 1, I was hooked! Probability Chain is different from any other book I've read before, because the plot is so innovative. Sure, I've read books with time travel and dimension shifts, but nothing quite this extraordinary! I can't wait to read more from this author (who is from my home state, by the way).

This book was well written and kept my interest throughout. The story had a few twists and turns and there was some tension regarding the characters survival. The jumping from one dimension to another with maybe not getting back was a bit unnerving but that just kept me reading. I would be interested in reading more by Regan Keeter.
