This wasn't meant to be an overly fantastic read. It was just meant as something to maybe be read aloud to friends and family so everyone could laugh over the creative insults contained within this little book. However, though a lot of this small read was funny (I especially enjoyed the insults about and by celebrities), there was some jokes that just fell flat. Some of this can be attributed to personal tastes, which is no fault of the author, and some is due to the fact that I've heard many of these same insults before, which is also no fault of the author. Yet, a few jokes failed for a different reason. That reason can be found in who the author seemed to think the main audience for this book was. Though they tried to cast a wide net and make fun of a wide variety of people with these insults, it becomes apparent, after a while, that this writer is writing to an older, male audience that swings a bit to the right on the political spectrum. This makes sense since I obtained this book from one of my grandfathers.
Wherever you stand on politics, you can still enjoy this book. Just know that if you are not a fan of the patriarchy, are a young person, and/or someone on the left in politics, a few of these jokes might make you angry or irritated. Heck, even if you aren't any of these things, it might still make you irritated. Humor is subjective, after all.
