It's been a weird day for Detective Raven White, which is really saying something, as he is the only detective dealing with Paranormal and Supernatural cases in Quebec. First there was the stranger in the coffee shop who sucked Raven's finger and then licked him. Then there was the missing person's report. Which is how Raven finds himself paying a visit to Freshán Chetlér, with no clue as to what awaits him... Raven's life is about to undertake a monumental shift.
They come to me in the night, creeping into my head. Their voices are all different, their stories all dissimilar, but they keep saying the same thing...
“Show us, tell us to the world. Bring us into yours, and make us known.”
Then I sit and they take over. They tell their tales of love, loss and sinister misfortune, not all of them get a happy ending, but they are pleased when their part is written.
I sometimes find myself lost in my own mind; a world very similar to our own yet so different. Things don't go bump in the night—they squeal, and crawl under your skin, making you grind your teeth, and your stomach turn over and put your nerves on edge. Then there's the drama. Oh, the drama!
I write because I must! There is so much inside of me that needs to get out. So many stories to tell, characters that want to be heard, and hearts lost and won. Words and art are my way of bringing my world to others. I enjoy telling tales of the human condition but working in elements of the supernatural. Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies, Witches and the unexplainable all set against the human world or worlds of their own.
I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, grew up in a working class family and enjoy writing, cooking and spending my husband's money! Yeah I’m a cocky little brat too :) (and proud of it, spankings included.)
This story felt like a snippet, just a little look and a promise of something more. But with episode 2 on the horizon, if you set your sights on episode 1, I'd suggest buying both so that you can read them side by side.
Pretty unique premise, despite these paranormal cop/mystery novels popping up all around me lately. If you're on my Goodreads, you likely know that's not exactly my genre, but here I am, stepping out of my designated comfort zone, and you know what? I'm happy I did.
Bla'Gar and Belail are quite a hot couple (although, I'm using the term couple loosely, at the moment), and I can't wait to read more of them in the next book. I think there's a definitely chemistry, especially one that's a little more dom/sub, but it works well in this short.
This story was quite raw, and it was definitely filled with, and ended with, tension, which is fantastic and left me wanting more. I felt like this is a really interesting world, and I could've definitely used some more world building. I want to know more about the time and the place, and the feels of it in its entirety. Keep in mind the length of this book, though. So I'm hoping the next book will delve even deeper into this world and the beings that inhabit it.
I must say that there are some editing issues. They aren't too distracting from the story, since it's so unique and fast-paced, but I felt a small need to mention them.
Oh, and btw, I think this series has a really bitchin' name.
I should start off by saying that I haven't read a lot of fantasy or supernatural or whatever genre you choose to classify werewolf and vampire stories. I respect each genre, and can certainly see the appeal in this genre. I merely prefer reading stories that are grounded in realism so that I can relate to that fictional world.
With that said, I have opened myself lately to more fantasy stories - because of authors like Wulf Godgluck - and I'm so happy I did.
It's rare that I come across an author that has such an easy way with words. Even though Wulf concentrates on every detail in the exposition and paints the world with vibrant colours, you are not annoyed with his lengthy descriptions but instead are drawn in by carefully considered and weighed prose that brings to life a masterfully created world.
I appreciate how difficult it is to avoid showing and telling, and when I come across an author who has mastered showing rather than telling in his writing, I want to consume all the works and just study and learn from it. The carefully constructed dialogue reveals character and conflict, the chemistry between the characters places you smack in the middle of their story and you can't help but care for them.
The story ended satisfyingly as a standalone, but you definitely want the follow up after finishing it. It's a short book, but within those few dozen pages you are transported to a beautifully created world filled with masculine hot and pissed off demons and Lycan and wolves and even more screwed up, flawed humans. I will be binge reading the follow ups in this series in short order.
Thank you for making a fan of this subgenre out of me!
The story itself is only about 22 pages long. And within that time you will be taken to a world where not only the supernatural and preternatural exist, but live alongside humans. And that's where our M/C comes in. Raven White is a detective and the only enforcer that deals with all super and para cases. While working on a missing person case he comes across someone who might be dangerous to him in more ways than one.
This is my first M/M paranormal and I like. Not only becasue of the taste of the world Wulf will be creating in this series, but also becasuse of his description, his writing style. I can truly picture myself there in that place and time. Definitely looking forward to what Mr. Godgluck has in store for us!
Well...that was something! Loved it. The connection between Raven and Bla'Gar is electric right away. The world building is interesting, with all the different creatures mentioned. I'm interested in where the plot is going to go. I need Episode Two asap!
Well this was different. I’m not too much into paranormal books, I do read them from time to time, but when I think of paranormal, I never think of reading about demons because that is something really out of my comfort zone. This book pushed a little those boundaries I have, and it was really good.
I’m not familiar with the author but I’m always looking for new authors to read. This was a nice first impression. I didn’t liked that much the main character, but the story was really good. I am very intrigued by the plot, especially what the detective is investigating.
The relationship between the main characters was nice, very intense, but way too driven by lust to my taste. I liked it but I want more, so much more. I’m truly hooked by the story. I hope I would care a little bit more for Raven in the next instalments that I definitely plan on reading. Overall a very interesting book.
This was a super short book with a super intense sexual encounter. Neon White is a series, so there is more to the story than just this brief introduction. We are quickly introduced to the main characters and from there on out it’s nothing but excitement in one form or another.
One of the most exciting things that occurs in this book is the sex. It’s like, wham bam thank you ma’aam sir, they are going at it like two people who have been forced to watch porn for the last week straight while taking ecstasy and suddenly being unleased with the most attractive person they have ever seen. When I say they are going at it, I mean they are going AT it. Like, big time. Down and dirty. You know what I mean, right? This is very graphic sex here people.
Now you may be wondering how all of this dirty good sex plays into my paranormal blog. Well, one of the main characters is a demon. Also, you should know this is a male/male erotica story, so if that’s not your thing, then don’t read it, you probably won’t like it. I'm not a huge fan of M/M erotica, but I like Wolf Francu Godgluck's writing style and creativity.
Due to the brevity of this portion of the story, I didn’t feel as though I became attached to any of the characters, which is both good and bad at the same time. Good because if something bad happens to any of them, I’m not emotionally invested. Bad because it didn’t make me excited to find out what happens next. However, I am currently reading the next installment in the series, and I will tell you now that I am enjoying it more than this first book. I’m not saying episode 1 is bad, I’m just saying episode 2 is better.
If you are into or curious about male/male erotica, check out Neon White. It’s a good story and has very graphic sex. The sexual experience is very detailed and thorough. This first episode sets the stage for the rest of the series.
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The receipt of this book did not imply or guarantee a favorable review, nor did it influence my opinion of this book.
The A Tooth Claw and Horns Chronicle series is really different from what I’m used to read but I liked it so much.
Episode 1 is just 22 pages, 22 amazing pages. It’s not like all these fluffy paranormal stories I like. It’s dark, mysterious and it kept me on the edge till the end (a super hot end!). I honestly have no idea how Wulf could put so much in so few pages. He created a world so interesting I’m hungry for more.
I can’t tell you much about the plot, being so short I would inadvertently add in some spoilers.
What I can talk about is the writing. I found it perfect, as if every word was weighted and put in that spot to give it the right importance and worth. The writing flows on the pages beautifully.
I liked the characters so much. They are very detailed, Raven with his sneezes and Bla’Gar with his possessiveness and all his fears. The chemistry between them is strong and really hot.
I can suggest you to buy Episode 1 and 2 together cause after reading the first one, you’ll need the second so badly you can’t wait to push the one-click button !
COVER ARTIST by Wulf Francu Godluck. Yep he can draw too! The covers of the three episodes are pretty much the same with just some little details that fit that episode completely. You’ll understand and realize it if you’ll decide to read the series. Well done Wulf!
When Raven has a sneezing fit in a coffee shop, he steps outside to get away from whoever thought to bring their dog inside. But little does he know the cause of his allergies is the gorgeous blond man that follows him outside and then disappears. While investigating a case, he’s literally brought to the door of the mysterious man and what he encounters might just change his life completely.
I don’t think the blurb does a very good job of explaining the story. At least, not so far because with just this first installment, it’s more of an introductory and doesn’t really show much into the motivations behind Bla’Gar. Even so, I didn’t expect to be drawn in from the start especially considering how short the book was. It’s hard to really say much about this story without giving away a ton of spoilers and it doesn’t have much depth to it yet because of the length.
For now, I’ll just say that I’m very much interested to see where things go and there was just something about this story, maybe the way it was written or just the concept in and of itself, that has me jonesing for me and hoping that as it progresses, it becomes more complex and ultimately gains more ‘meat’ to its bones. I had one little niggle, though, I couldn’t help but wonder why Raven would sneeze so much just standing by Bla’Gar but when they were actually touching… he didn’t sneeze at all.
Still, in the end, I was enamored with the story. Once I started, I didn’t want to put it down and wanted to see what happened next. I’m definitely intrigued with this story and can’t wait to read more of Raven & Bla’Gar.
P.S. A huge selling point in this book is the fact that Raven looks (according to the cover) like Derek from Teen Wolf… and HELLO, that man is GORGEOUS!
All I can say is WOW. I absolutely loved this little tease of story. It is four years after an event called The Revelation. Humans are now aware that Paranormal, Supernatural and Preternatural beings walk amongst us.
In his story we’re introduced to Raven White, a detective “enforcer” who is the only detective in town dealing with super and para cases. Raven meets a very big, very hot, blond stranger at the coffee shop one morning, before you know it the guy is growling at him, then the guy grabs Raven’s finger and starts sucking on it! Unfortunately, Raven gets a call from work and when he turns around the stranger is gone.
To solve a missing person case, Raven must go to see Freshán Chetlér, someone that all the supers and paras fear. When he arrives, he discovers Mr. Chetlér is the same stranger he met at the coffee shop.
We, the readers, know that Freshán Chetlér is actually a demon named Bla’Gar, but Raven doesn’t. Things get steamy, and then we’re at the end of the story. OK, I left out a lot of detail in between, but the story is only 32 pages, so any more details would spoil your read! Episode 2 is coming out this week and you can best believe I will be getting my hands on it as soon as possible. I very highly recommend you get both Episode 1 and Episode 2 and get reading!

So here’s the thing. I’m not a fan of serialised novels and tend to stay away from them until the full story is available. I’m kinda compulsive when it comes to my reading and prefer to read a story from start to finish – if at all possible in one sitting. But the blurbs and reviews for these three episodes sounded so intriguing I’ve decided to break my own rule and go ahead and read them.
Episode 1 was a tremendous opening. I think it took two paragraphs for the action to kick in and me to lose myself in the narrative. I like the idea of humans and supernatural beings have to share the world, trying to find a balance and ways to deal with prejudices.
Raven was a fascinating character and his dog allergy (and what a thing to have in a world inhabited by normal dogs as well as Werewolves and Lycans) provided a few lighter and funny moments as well as endeared him to me.
Freshán Chetlér or Bla’Gar, even if Raven doesn’t know that name yet, was an equally fascinating character. As a very old demon he is much more powerful than Raven, and yet Raven’s presence and especially sexual contact with Raven leaves him almost powerless to control his true nature. What’s not to love about a super-strong character being rendered almost helpless by someone who should have been much weaker? And when Bla’Gar and Raven come together.... Well, hot doesn’t begin to describe it.
I’m very glad to say that while it is very clear the story isn’t over when this episode ends, it didn’t end on a cliffhanger. I’m even gladder that I have episode 2 lined as my next read.
Okay, so there will be a full review on my partial blog fangfreakintasticreviews.com but here is the quick and dirty.
This has EXPLICIT M/M erotica, so please note that, well actually Male/Preternatural. This is for 18 over only.
WOW, it hit me like a wall, you know when you are sitting there and you look at a book and you are like okay I will read this, and then you read the first page and you are thrown up against the wall? Yup that is what this book did, I mean Novella. It is super short, super dirty, super quick, and OH so good.
I really think that Wulf has a career in this field, I mean the way that he wraps a story and creates a world in what 10 pages? Okay I admit I read it while laying on the couch and it went from light to dark outside so I don't know how many pages, but it was SO worth it.
To put it simply, I love Wulf's writing! I won't lie. The form isn't perfect. There are bits that speak to an author still learning his craft but none of that matters. I get lost in the story every time, regardless. Wulf's natural talent for tension pulls the reader through the tale despite all that and you can't help turning pages to find out what happens next. His style is gritty and raw with characters to match.
If you're looking for a tender, humorous story about civilized men you're in the wrong place. Neon White is erotic and dark from the first page. It's like nothing I've read before and that's exactly why I love it.
What's lurking in the shadows behind the lighted facade of the beautiful and exotic Protector who just happens to be a demon? Will Raven be able to handle the truth of his new sexy acquaintance or will he run screaming into the woods? Can his heart bear rejection when it's already bruised? Brilliant first episode of a promising series with other world characters that don't follow stereotypes. Wulf Godgluck writes emotion and atmosphere with cruel detail that sets up the reader for continuing torment, edging us on and leaving us wanting, panting for more. He's a heartless master who understands affairs of the heart like no one else.
I know it was short but I couldn't get through it. The style of writing killed it for me. "Are you going to answer me?" A question wasn’t asked. Something similar when a demon responded to a question when, again, one wasn't asked. "Chap", "lad" and "madam" didn't help. I don't know how well used any of these terms are used in Canada but it was too much. I don't see that much in stories set in the UK and Ireland. Then there's the missing person. A woman says she saw a man walk off with her son. Description of that man? He growled. Not hair color, height, build, clothes or any physical description. No rating because I didn't finish.
I’m not fond of short stories in general as I don’t get a chance to become familiar enough with the characters to have any emotional attachment to them.
But, this story had some great little tidbits to it that made it different from your usual erotic short story. I would like to read more about the world the author is building here. The author writes great interactions between characters outside of the sex scenes so there’s more to the story other than just setting the stage for sex.
Wow! I've read many paranormal books by different authors but this has been my first foray into the world of demons and what an introduction. Episode One is short but it has me panting to know more. We are introduced to Raven White a detective in charge of everything supernatural and paranormal. A missing persons case has brought him into contact with Bla'Gar Chetler who is a demon (yes that's the dude's name and yes I couldn't pronounce it either but it sort of set the tone for the 'other worldly' feeling of the story) This is where the chemistry starts and the sparks fly...no spoilers...let me just say that scene was hot! I especially loved the sneezing episode and can only imagine how embarrassing it must have been for Raven! Raven is one of those MC's that you cannot help but root for from the word go. Bla'Gar on the other hand is the alpha male personified I think. This is the second book I've read by this author who in my opinion is a great story teller whose characters seem to grab you and make you want to go along for the ride. Can't wait for episode Two!
There are so many good things to say about this wonderful story. And this is just the beginning. Neon White Episode One is engaging; I finished and was so glad that book two was already available. I was hooked from word one and I couldn’t put it down. Wulf Francu Godgluck’s world is inventive and he pulls you in with ease. The interaction between the two main characters is HOT and the secondary characters play such important roles and make this story complete. Loved every moment of this book!
This is a fresh look on preternatural, paranormal beings. This is episode 1. A quick read that let's you get your feet wet with Raven who is an officer sent out to investigate a boy leaving with a lycan, his intended mate. Raven gets more then he bargains for when he meets Mr. Chetl'er, a high ranking demon. I enjoyed this and am itching to sink my teeth in episode 2!
Now that I have read all three I am in a position to leave a few words.
A finely woven world of the natural and supernatural blending together in an almost matter of fact manner depicting an interesting tale with love at its core.
