A candid portrait of the controversial life and career of actress and sex symbol Brigitte Bardot discusses her rise to success, her films, her lovers and three husbands, and the loneliness and despair that prompted several suicide attempts
Bardot is a well written, non-sensationalist biography of a woman who was, so far as I could tell, true to herself, lived life – and probably still does – as she wanted to, wasn't exactly going to follow any publicists advice about what to say and how to say it, and when she'd had enough, took herself away from the cameras. Certainly not the greatest actress in the world but then she never claimed to be. In this age of plastic surgery and plastic comments, she was an original and never boring. For anyone reading, note that this book seems to have been around a while and isn't current.
