Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.

Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.

Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.

The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.

Must be the child in me that saved books that now my grandchildren are taking great pleasure in reading. This is a wonderful book that we have had great pleasure in reading over the years.
A magical tale that captures a child's imagination. We loved the book and the films that gave us some great family times together. Recommended.

অনেক দূরের রূপকথার দেশ মায়াপুরী। সেখানে থাকে টিংকার বেল আর পিটার প্যান। আর ওদিকে লন্ডন শহরের একটি মেয়ে ওয়েন্ডি, তার সাথে থাকে জন আর মাইকেল। ওয়েন্ডি ওদের পিটার প্যানের গল্প শোনায়। এক রাতে ওরা গল্প করছিল সেখানে হাজির হয় পিটার প্যান আর ওদের নিয়ে আসে মায়াপুরী ঘোরাতে। ওরা সকলেই অবাক আর অনেক খুশি হয় নতুন সবকিছু দেখে। এমন সময় পিটার প্যান দেখতে পায় ক্যাপ্টেন হুক মায়াপুরীর সর্দারের কন্যা লিলিকে তুলে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে! কিন্তু পিটার প্যান উদ্ধার করে ফেলে লিলিকে। তারপরও হার মানে না হুক সে এবার তুলে আনে ওয়েন্ডি, জনদের। এবার কি হবে!?

Kirja on juuri sopivan mittainen unisaduksi tai iltapäivän rauhoittumishetkeen. Virkkeet ovat selkeitä ja kerronta on sopivan soljuvaa. Disneyn versio Peter Panin tarinasta on sopivan muotoisena tarinana kirjassa. Kuvitus tässä Kauneimmat Disney-sadut sarjassa on todella kaunista. Osa aukeamista leikittelee kuvituksen ja taustasivun kanssa, mihin tyttäreni on kiinnittänyt useasti huomiota.

If you want to read a fairy tell but don't want a long one this is the book for you! I loved how short and simple this book was. Would be great for end of the day read with the kiddos at school or a bed time story.

First things first I found 3 errors in and on this book.

1. Michael has brown hair, but instead he has blond hair on the cover.
2. John has brown hair, too, but the cover shows his hair orange
3 John says "I'm Peter Pan and you're Captain Hook. Let's fight!" John said, but since he is Peter Pan then shouldn't he give Michael the hanger for the hook?

Und es geht weiter mit dem zeitlosen Klassiker "Peter Pan" von "Walt Disney" eins meiner #Lieblingsbücher aus meiner Kindheit. 💕 Ich liebe die Geschichte von Peter, den Verlorenen Jungen, Wendy & ihren beiden Brüdern John & Michael und natürlich Käpt'n Hook und der Sternfee Glöckchen (Naseweis/TinkerBell).

In beiden Büchern findet man tatsächlich einige Begriffe bzw. Schreibweisen von Namen, Orten oder Personen, als zum Beispiel im Film. Hier einige Beispiele:

🌺 Käpt'n Huck = Kapitän Hook
🍀 Insel Nirgendwo = Nimmerland
🌺 Nixen od. Seejungfrauen = Meerjungfrauen
🍀 Traumkinder = Die Verlorenen Jungen
🌺 Glöckchen = Naseweis / TinkerBell
🍀 Nixenlagune = Meerjungfrauen Lagune
🌺 Seeräuberschiff = Piratenschiff
🍀 Seeräuber = Piraten

Ab und zu hole ich das Buch aus meinem Regal und lese es erneut . Was es automatisch zu einem meiner meistgelesenen Bücher macht. 🌺 Für mich ist und bleibt Peter Pan der Held meiner Kindheit. 🍀

Letzter Satz: "Seht, da ist Peter Pan", rief Wendy. "Jetzt fliegen er und die Traumkinder zurück zur Insel Nirgendwo!" [Kleines Buch]

Letzter Satz: "Seht, das ist das goldene Schiff von Peter Pan", rief Wendy. "Jetzt fliegt er mit Glöckchen und den Traumkindern wieder zurück zur Insel Nirgendwo!" [Großes Buch]

Noch zu erwähnen wäre, dass ich die Bücher in zwei verschiedenen Editionen besitze. Die Geschichte ist bis auf ein paar Sätze mehr identisch. Ich habe die deutschen Ausgaben von ©️1992 [Kleines Buch] & ©️1989/1992 [Großes Buch] gelesen.

Das Cover ist gleich, doch die Titel sind anders gestaltet und auch die Buchgröße ist anders.

Und weiter geht es im fröhlichen "Peter Pan" Reigen und dem munteren Sub-Abbau 2023. 🌺

Auf dem Buchrücken werden die Kinder "Wendy, Klaus & Michael" genannt und nicht wie in anderen Ausgaben: "Wendy, John & Michael". 🍀 

"Glöckchen" [TinkerBell] wird hier "Naseweis" genannt.

Die "Meerjungfrauen" werden hier "Meermädchen" genannt.

Die "Verlorenen Jungen" sind hier die "Verwunschenen Kinder".

Und zum ersten Mal wird aus "Käpt'n Huck" das bekannte "Käpt'n Hook". 

Der bekannte "Totenkopffelsen" wird zum "Schädelfelsen".

Deze versie is een erg ingekorte versie van de film, waardoor er veel details worden weggelaten. Het springt daardoor erg van de hak op de tak. De kinderen (die de film nooit gezien hebben) leek het niet te deren, maar ik vraag mij af in hoeverre zij het verhaal echt konden volgen.

This Peter Pan ebook is a short, fantasy, folklore , picture book for young and older children, up to age 10 I would say. This eBook being a simplified version, tells the story of three children's adventure to the "Neverland" with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Peter Pan is a fun book to read. The story helps develops a child's imagination. The children went from hearing stories of Peter Pan to actually taking an adventure with Peter Pan and Tinkerbell during bedtime. At night is when a child's imagination typically comes to life in their dreams. The book introduces them to magical fairy tales, flying, and pirates. Peter Pan is a good bedtime book that children would love.

My love of reading started when i was young, and it gives me immense pleasure to provide books to Spread the Word Nevada, an organization that passes them on to children in the community. They are a terrific organization supporting an important cause. If your local I encourage you to check them out. For those living further a field, look in your own community, their may already be a similar program in place. And if not, you can always help start on.

Myself, I go out on the weekends and
shop thrift store and bulk book lots to rescue books and donate them. Sometimes I'll find a book I remember reading when I was young and will read it again before passing it on.

I don't rate these books using my normal scale, instead I give most of them three stars. This isn't a Criticism of the book, simply my way of rating them as good for children.
