Innocent Vareed Thekkethala (ഇന്നസെന്റ് വറീത് തെക്കേത്തല) (born 28 February 1945), popularly known as Innocent, is an Indian film actor and politician. He was born in Irinjalakuda in Thrissur district of Kerala, India. He is one of the most successful and leading comedy actors of Malayalam cinema. He is noted for his witty mannerisms and dialogue delivery in the typical Thrissur accent.

This is a memoir by Innocent about his childhood and film career. He writes everything, both serious and funny anecdotes, in a humorous manner.

പ്രശസ്തനായ ചലചിത്രകാരൻ ഇന്നസെന്റിന്റെ ഓർമ്മക്കുറിപ്പുകളാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിലൂടെ പങ്കുവെയ്ക്കപെടുന്നത്. ചെറുപ്പം മുതൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഓർമ്മകളിൽ തങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്ന മിക്ക കാര്യങ്ങളും ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്താൻ അദ്ദേഹം ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നർമ്മ പ്രധാനമുള്ള കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളാണ് അദ്ദേഹം എപ്പോഴും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യാറ്. സ്വകാര്യ ജീവിതത്തിലും അദ്ദേഹം നല്ലൊരു രസികനാണെന്ന് ഈ പുസ്തകം വായിക്കുമ്പോൾ മനസ്സിലാകും. ഓരോ വരികളിലും ആവുന്നത്ര നർമ്മം അടങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ ചെയ്തുകൂട്ടിയ വികൃതികളും കൗമാര ചാപല്യങ്ങളും തുറന്നെഴുതാൻ അദ്ദേഹം മടിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. എന്നാലും എങ്ങനെ താൻ ഒരു സിനിമാക്കാരൻ ആയി എന്നതിന്റെ കഷ്ടപ്പാടുകൾ നിറഞ്ഞ ആ ജീവിതകാലഘട്ടം വലുതായി ഇതിൽ പറയുന്നുമില്ല. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരുപാട് ചിത്രങ്ങൾ ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അല്പം രസത്തിനു സമയംകൊല്ലിയായി വായിച്ചിരിക്കാൻ പറ്റിയ ഒരു പുസ്തകം.

നടൻ ഇന്നസെൻ്റിൻ്റെ ബാല്യകാലത്തെയും നടനാവുന്നത് വരെയുമുള്ള ഓർമ്മകൾ 32 അദ്ധ്യായങ്ങളിലായി സരസമായി, ഇരിങ്ങാലക്കുട ഭാഷയിൽ ഇന്നസെൻ്റ് തന്നെ സംസാരിക്കുന്ന രൂപത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.1992 ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച പുസ്തകത്തിൽ 1970 വരെയുള്ള ഓർമ്മകളാണ് ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.

Simple, concise and hilarious account of his life as a child, teenager and man. The version is mostly on his private life. I liked his style of writing and the Thrissur vernacular used in the book. His childhood has been eventful with mirthful incidents.
