She’s the truth that divulges my secrets and the purity that sanitizes my soul. Loving her has never come with choice – it consumed and burned and before I knew it I was hers.
Dace
A man is defined by the secrets he keeps and the demons he carries. I never knew I longed for light until the rays burned me. Now, there’s nothing I wouldn’t do to hold tightly to the light I’ve captured.
She’s a good girl and she’s come from a good world. We’re as opposite as opposite can be, but she’s the other side of my coin – the day to my night. She’s the truth to my secrets and the redemption to my sins.
Her heart is my salvation and her body is my obsession.
But loving her comes with a risk I’m not sure I can take.
Ella
He’s become my safe place when everything I knew disintegrated around me. In his arms, I find solace and safety and laughter in a time where I’m suffocated by pain.
He came into my world without any warning, conquering and claiming. They tell me he’s dark and dangerous. I’ve been warned and I know I should stay away, but I can’t seem to help myself.
He’s a craving I can’t deny when the world keeps tossing us together. I know there are things I don’t know, but every layer I uncover reveals a man my soul seems to recognize. He’s chiseling away my heart, but I’m unsure if he’s invading the fractured pieces, or stealing them. Either way, I don’t think I have the strength to deny him. Even if I did, I don’t know if I would.
Is it really up to me to decide if love prevails over darkness? Or, are some plans fated long before we come to be? I’m beginning to believe I was fated for him – crafted entirely to enrapture all that he is.
Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, Alannah Carbonneau is only a short drive away from the Rocky Mountains that have a staring place in so many of her novels. With seventeen novels and counting currently available on Amazon, Alannah is not only a full-time author, but a full-time mom of two beautiful boys, and wife to an amazing man who always has her back. She lives in a rambling ranch house that needs way too many renos and has one too many cats, but she is happy and in love.
With a solid circle of friends and family, and a very manly, supportive husband who does his best to make sure his family is taken care of, Alannah’s novels feature manly men (sometimes they can be a LOT manly) and friend/family relationships weaved into the stories, because life is about a whole mess of people, and although this is fiction, the best fiction is sprinkled with sweet (and sometimes not so sweet) bits of reality.
Because she loves romance, Alannah writes Contemporary and New Adult Romance. Soon to be released is the Creekwood Valley Series that has ties to the reader beloved Donnelley Brother Series, where light suspense and romance weave to create titillating stories that not only steal your heart but keep you on the edge of your seat. She is the author of the highly rated Teach Me Series, an emotional read about love, life and lessons learned. Our Dark Design is a standalone erotic romance peppered with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and The Choice is an entirely unconventional standalone romance about three.
She is currently working on a Cross World Fantasy Romance Series for Adults she can’t wait to share with you, because this will feature hot men who are a little bit dominant and a lot protective who are head over heels in love with stubborn, magnificent women.
When Alannah isn’t writing or spending time with her three men, she can be found in her garden, or with a paint brush in hand. But no matter where she is or what she’s doing, you can bet that she’s thinking of a love story she can share with you.
So basically he gets mad that she won't have sex with him so he storms off and has sex with some random OW. She catches him and blames herself, then gives him her v-card, probably while he still smells like the OW. Shame on you author for writing this garbage. Should not be labeled as romance.

I got this as a freebie from Amazon and as far as freebie goes, this one is actually a surprisingly good enough read.
There were a lot of misspelled words, grammar issues and the like but the author really has a strong voice. It comes through with the writing. And for that, I have to give her props. I read this book in one sitting and I wasn't even supposed to read it yet but once I started, I couldn't stop.
Aside from the editing issues, which can be fixed, I find the conflict near the end a little anti-climactic. But Dace and Ellah's chemistry is undeniable and their banter is wonderful. I rooted for them. I thought they were both written very well. Ellah is a non-annoying heroine and Dace is the hot, tattooed, bad boy hero. I know, I know, it's been done to death but the author gave her characters something far more than just good looks. The dialogue between them was great, the story actually flowed nicely, and both were very likable and relatable, including the secondary characters.
I was really, really surprised by how much I liked this one. This book is worth taking a chance on. I think it's still free, so pick it up and read. Who knows, you guys might like it as much as I did!! :)
This is not a bad book. It certainly had potential however it seemed the author couldn't decide if she wanted Dace to be an alpha male bad boy or a soppy love sick puppy! We never learn Dace's age so it was confusing when we meet him as a Club Owner then the next minute he's in a class Ella takes at University.
Ella is strugling financially after the death of her parents. She can't find anywhere cheaper to live and so lives off barely anything and can hardly afford food so it's fruit or yoghurts! I found this a bit far fetched. I'm sure there was somewhere cheaper she could have found to live or she could even have deferred her University course for a year whilst she sorted out the financial problems her parents had left behind. She has a job she hates so when her bestfriends boyfriend tells her he can get her an interview for a job at the club he attends she accepts. Ella is 21 but has never being in a nightclub nor worked in one but Dace gives her the job. She is told that Dace is a manwhore and doesn't do relationships but he is instantly smitten with Ella and they begin a friendship which is basically a girlfriend/boyfriend type realtionship but without the sex. Eventually Dace persuades Ella to move in to his house where he also lives with his brother Daman.
Ella and Dace sleep together every night although not just cuddled up, Dace sleeps on top of her between her legs but there is never any mention of him getting aroused! Slowly Ella begins to realise she doesn't just love Dace as a friend but that she's in love with him. They eventually share a few kisses but Ella is a virgin and hasn't told Dace so she pushes him away and in his anger he does something disgraceful and she catches him. Here is where the author made a huge mistake in my opinion. I can't say or it will spoil it for others but what followed was totally unrealistic as was Dace telling Ella he had never kissed a woman before her. I've read that before in a novel and it's just far too unrealistic that this man who is supposedly a man whore and good in bed never ever kissed any of the women he was with?
Throughout the book it is hinted at that Dace has a secret he is keeping from Ella. When we find out, it didn't seem so bad but then we are suddenly told Ella hates this sort of thing even though it had never been mentioned before in the story. Dace is supposed to be in need of his 'angel' Ella but we never truly understand why.
The book has it's HEA but one thing was left hanging and that was what became of Ella's parents home she was trying to sell?
This was a free read and held my attention it's just I had a few problems with it. I'm presuming the book is supposed to be set in America but at times I felt there were some British things creeping in, so I'm not sure what nationality the author is plus there were a few errors and Daman was called Dace at one point. I would read Daman's book if the author has plans for it.
Okay here we go... First of all I probably would have given this book 3 stars if it wasn't for those last few chapters (epilogue included) They were awful, I'm sorry but they were. Ella was acting like a selfish b*tch, I just can't, it was horrible. Speaking of probably one of my least favorite female characters, she was a little crybaby. I wanted to slap some sense into her but no I wouldn't dare to do that because we all now how much she hates violence. I myself am not a fan of violence but the way she was acting when Dace's (LAME) secret was revealed, you would have thought he was involved in human trafficking or something, she was totally overreacting. She needed time to process things which I can understand, she said to Dace she didn't want anymore secrets and yet he still had one. No problem but when he explained the reason why he participated in illegal (underground) fighting, which I found a damn good one, she went in a full on drama queen mode. Suddenly she was scared of him which I find freaking weird because from the beginning she felt safe with him and she didn't even know him! Then she was all like I need time, blah blah blah. After they spent the night apart she told him to come home and when he came home she practically jumped him (What???). The worst has yet to come, then they go to a restaurant and Dace wants to talk. Blah, blah, blah, they talk but then he says that he is willing to stop fighting but he will never leave the club and the fights will go on just not with him anymore. Any normal person would have agreed nothing wrong with this I mean it could have been worse and it isn't like the fighters are forced to fight so everything is good right?? WRONG!!!!! She starts b*tching about how he chose the club over their relationship, blah blah blah. In the end they do have their HEA, not that I care. This is just my ranting about the last few chapters so I could go on and on but I think this gif explains my feelings towards this book perfectly
I hope others had more fun reading Enraptured than I had, this book just wasn't for me
I wanted to take off a star for the big "secret" (and the way it was revealed) and Ella's reaction, or for the fact that it reminded me of Beautiful Disaster a little, or for the two times I caught myself rolling my eyes at a cheesy line.
But, I couldn't. Because when it came down to it, I enjoyed the fuck out of this story. I finished reading with a smile on my face. It's going in my favs, and I will be re-reading it.....soon.
I loved how the relationship slowly built up (no insta-love in this one). I loved how broken Dace was but how Ella helped him be a better man. I loved how Ella was able to keep herself together after her parent's deaths.
story/plot: 5 Characters: 5 Romance: 4.5 Favorite Secondary Character: Daman (can we have his story?) Recommended for: Anyone who likes tortured heros, or anyone that liked Beautiful Disaster. Bottom line: A great story that I think might be worth your time. This is currently free on Amazon, and I highly suggest that you get it.
This book has been sat on my e-reader for a while and I have no idea why i decided today was the day I was going to read it. Not sure if it’s me but YA books these days seem to always involve sweet naive butter wouldn’t melt h’s with bad boy man ho wannabe MMA fighters who belong to motorbike families or similar and this one is no different. With it being a bit old hat I am perhaps being a bit harsh. The H is totally smitten and actually sets out to win the h’s heart and gives up his man ho ways from the time he met her. Although he does pick up a woman at his club at one point to make her jealous. The h is a bit of a flake and she is very judgey of the H and his fighting I found her to be a bit of a Moron to be honest. His winning of the h was deserving though she was a bit of a whiner. I didn’t totally hate it

I loved the premise, but the book needs a good editor.
There were parts that I thought needed work. A little too much inner dialogue which annoyed me. I felt that the heroine was all over the place and that the verbiage felt forced. The writing in some areas felt choppy and did not flow. Also, it would have been nice to come up with my own conclusions instead of being told everything. My opinion.
I felt like the book was an advertisement for Starbucks.
I felt like Ella forgave Dace too easily. I felt how much Dace cared for El, but whenever she found out anything or he would do something, she would forgive him quickly. I did not mind that the couple were friends and really got to know each other before anything happened, but the ending felt rushed and weird.
At times, I did not understand why Dace liked Ella so much. Ella acted like an annoying "little" girl. I did not like that Ella told her co-worker, Gia, that she had sex with Dace. It was immature behavior to share a very private moment that she had with Dace with one of his employees.
This was a surprisingly good freebie. I wasn't expecting to get so sucked in by it. I really liked Dace and Ella. Some parts were a little out there but it's fiction, so I went with it. Dace's secret was a little obvious and I'm surprised Ella had no idea, plus, it really wasn't that big of a deal to me. Dace was a good Alpha male but was also really sweet when it came to her. There was one thing in the book that I REALLY wish the author hadn't let it go "there". I think the same results could have been achieved without I thought the ending was a little rushed but over all I really enjoyed it.
Don't really know how to rate this book. I LOVED it until approx. the 70% mark. Then I HATED it. It wasn't just because of what happened at that point, it is because after what happens the rest of the book has the heroine being a spineless pushover who doesn't require ANYTHING from the H. It's obvious (to me anyway) that the H could do ANYTHING and the h would let him and never leave. Yuck. After the 70% mark, I HATED THIS BOOK.
This is one of those great friends-to-lovers romances. If that's what you are in the mood for, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one!
Yes, it has a virgin h and manwhore H. Yes, it has the classic misunderstandings and straight up non-communication that leads to heartache and pain. However, I believe the story of Dace & Ella was beautiful, and it completely captured my attention. There were times I wanted to hit Ella upside the head, but that's normal with me and heroines. Other than her at times idiocy she wasn't too bad when it came to being the "unassuming virgin heroine". I really loved Dace. Of course, at the end he turns into somewhat of an idiot but I don't really blame him for what he did.
Great light read! :) May continue on with the next book.
Meh.... it has some potential but sadly I just didn't fell in love with it. I couldn't connect with the characters.. they felt so flat.
50% in and I was ready to drop this off but I was curious about the whole "secret" thing going on so I endured and kept reading then viola! everything was revealed- heroine overreact- cost a little drama and they live happily ever after!
The whole thing seems so stupid and pointless. I'll just keep it short and say, this book was not for me.
Dace didn't come across to me as the hard ass bad guy he was portrayed to be. It might of helped if the reveal had of come out earlier and used that to build up his character more. Ok read.
I'll admit that I was thoroughly enthralled with this book. (Funny I use that word as it's book two's title.) It was the last 30% that knocked this from almost 5 stars to a 3 star for me.
In the beginning I felt like Dace was a combination of some of my favorite book boyfriends. Christian Grey. Travis Maddox. Gideon Crossfire. Cash Davenport. He really had it going on and I believe the author incorporated some of her favorite stories/men into making this truly an ALMOST perfect awesome story with this combo. (I could be off base with my thinking ...if these were her favorite stories. Maybe I was just seeing this combination in Dace...whatever it was, I LOVED it.)
Dace has secrets and demons to deal with. He's not an open guy and he really did try hard with Ella in his own way. Ella was dealing with the loss of her parents and financial hardships as well as college. Things change when they meet and life gets easier for the both of them, in their own ways.
Dace and Ella have a fast "friendship" and I really liked how they were. He wasn't changing her but by being her friend, she was ultimately changing him...with out knowing it. I believe Dace didn't want to admit it completely either and this is what keeps them in the friends zone for so long. That and the way Ella acts and how she perceives them. Honestly, they were a couple in my eyes the entire time and I felt like she just didn't know it.
I really did enjoy this book until Ella's naive ways or stupidity ?? just drove me nuts. The secrets that were with held, though you can guess them early on, drove me crazy too as they were up passed the 70-80% mark before things come to a head. Their lives would have been easier had they just talked!! Really, these two needed to learn how to communicate, it would have saved some heart attack and miscommunications resulting in stupid decisions.
I do admit that this couple is a parallel to Travis and Abby from Beautiful Disaster, yet it wasn't a knock off. Does that makes sense? They really did remind me a lot of BD's couple. Also, in the beginning of the story, with the whole dark, mysterious club owner, I felt Dace was also like Cash Davenport from Down to You. He reminded me of Christan Grey and Gideon Crossfire when he became bossy, possessive, needing to always touch his woman in some way shape or form. He also reminded me of them when it came to clothing and not wanting other men to look at their women.
Overall, I wish I could have rated it higher but honestly, the last 30% killed a lot for me.
I've had this book for a while now and it is good. 3.75-4 Stars. It is a book worth reading. This is a standalone but somehow I wish it wasn't but I'll get to that later.
Ella has lost her parents and therefore has lost everything of great importance. She is left with debt and has to deal with everything and takes on a shitty job at "Tara's Tanning" on her way to work she meets a hot guy but dismisses him he however doesn't dismiss her and calls her Angel. Ella is very innocent and naive.
As Ella is desperate she gets a job in a club called "Impact" and runs into the guy she dismissed in this case Dace Demi. He is hot, broken and broody just my type of guy.
They build a friendship that eventually turns into more. Dace has secrets and well Ella isn't completely honest. I loved the first 70% of the book and the banter between Ella and Dace is a riot. But in saying that what happened in his office was wrong but he was riding on a technicality which is just wrong. The last 30 % was weaker otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. So although this is a standalone I really liked Damon, Dace's brother and well I would like to see him have a book.
Free download. Wow that's how I start this review. I absolutely loved this book. The story is amazing, the back history is sufficient, the characters are real, and the emotion of this book is great. The main characters couldn't be any further opposite if you tried but Dace and Ella prove that it doesn't matter when you love somebody completely. They begin as friends which grows into a very strong love that helps heal them both. It contains all the angst and love required for an amazing story. This book has similar traits to Beautiful Disaster but is also very different. I would highly recommend.
Okay. GoodReads had posted some other review in place of the one I originally wrote. So I really don't remember what I wrote for this one but do remember that it was an okay book. Sweet and simple. I liked the characters. And well..that's about it.
I really liked this book as the overall story was good and kept my attention. As I sat back to think about my review I said to myself I want to give this book a 5 star rating. Any book that has me counting the hours until I can read again means it's a good book. However, when I take a step back and think it through there was a few short conclusions, one unanswered question and a couple naïve moments that warrant the 4 instead of a 5. Trust me this is a good book I don't want to downplay its worth with the previous statement, but I felt the need to address a few things.
The story of Dace and Ella is the good girl-bad boy story. We all love these especially when love conquers all. This is that type of story. But the big unanswered question is what became of Ella's family house. All of the choices Ella has made lies behind her getting money to live and for her parents house until it sells rather than losing it foreclosure after the sudden death of her parents. You never find out what happens in the end with it. Does it sell, does Dace buy it, does it go into foreclosure or does Ella continue to pay the mortgage for the rest of her life. It may sound silly but it is the last tie to her family so there is a conclusion and an emotional tie to it. What happened, how did Ella feel, did Dace helped her get through creating an even stronger emotional bond, etc.
As for short conclusions, they are kind of tied to the naïve moments. Ella is a virgin, who has come to rely heavily on Dace for emotional and financial support shortly after the death of her parents. They become best friends and she falls in love with him. As she finally gets the courage to tell him how she feels she walks in on him having sex with patron of the club. He says he did it because he thinks she was playing games yet he knows she is innocent (not a virgin, but innocent. With him being a player himself and them being so close he should know them having sex would mean something to Ella and be a big deal. I found the excuse lousy, yet in less than 24 hours she is forgiving him and giving her virginity away. Ok people can be naïve but I find it's a total 360 of her character to let the hurt go so quickly. Then within a day or so later she finds out about another lie (an easy guess for the reader). Yet she forgives that again within less than 24 hours too. It is never clearly explained why she hates his side job. I get why she wouldn't want someone she cares about doing it but she seems to have a profound dislike for it in general that makes it seem like there is more to it. Also, Dace tells her she must accept the club for what it is yet he is seeking a law career to protect his brother and father. If Dace owns the club, he is negligent too which he even points that out so that contradicts itself. Does he seek to get out once a law career is established if not he shouldn't be worrying about using his career to help his family because he will be going down with him destroying that career in the process. The other short conclusion was the secret her best friend kept about Dace. I believe in forgiveness but Ella made it seem like her friend forgot to invite her to a party, not her friend was hiding what the man she was falling in love with was doing that she is totally against.
All in all a great read, I just find it sad when a great story that is detailed all the way through is rushed at the end. The reader becomes so entwined with the characters lives and emotions when it is well written, that in the conclusion of the story one is left incomplete because their isn't full closure. In, turn you'll be content with the ending but complete hmmm.
Mode melindungi On.
*4.5 Stars* I came across this book during a free promotion. I had never heard of the author, at the time, but I love discovering new authors. I read the synopsis and it sounded interesting so I bought, read it and loved it!
Ella, a college student, just lost her parents in a tragic accident. After, she spoke to their lawyers, she discovered that her parents were in financial ruin so she was forced to sell everything they owned and put the house she grew up in on the market. She doesn’t really want to do that and will do what she can to keep it. Afraid she won’t be able to afford school, she decides she really doesn’t want to go back. Her mom’s closest friend, Leah, convinces her to and tells her she will take care of selling the house so Ella goes back to school. She has a crappy job and and an expensive apartment. When she learns that the house is going to be foreclosed on she‘s not sure what she’s going to do.
Dace and Ella first cross paths when Ella running to her car after class because she’s late for work. She runs right smack into him. They don’t have time to really introduce themselves because she’s in a hurry so she hops in her car and leaves. Circumstances later led them to each other when Ella needs a job.
Ella’s friend’s don’t have very good things to say about Dace. Dace, as described by Ella’s friends Dee and Kyle, is” different”, “kind of scary”, “mean, dark and cruel”. Actually, Ella learns that not many people have a very high opinion of Dace. Dace gives Ella a side of himself that he doesn’t give to others and that leads to a friendship and special bond between the two. Their friendship has numerous ups and downs as they try to fight developing feelings towards each other.Dace has a huge secret that he is trying to keep from Ella for fear of losing her.
Alannah did an amazing job with this book. The story line was excellent and I thought it flowed well. Knowing how everyone described Dace and then watching his and Ella’s relationship evolve was beautiful and it felt so real. Unlike so many other romance novels, the development of their relationship didn't seem far-fetched. From the first moment they crossed paths, you could tell Dace was drawn to her. I loved how protective he was of her and how she just took that as him being a good friend. She had no clue he was in love with her because she, like most women, had some insecurities. I also thought it was cute when Ella would try and hide her true feelings for Dace. She was so into him and it was obvious. When Dace's secret finally came out, I do think Ella may have overreacted just a tad. LOL.
This is one of the books I re-read when I’m in between books ( and I’ve lost count of how many times I've read it). Bravo Alannah! I am definitely recommending this one!
This book was bought to my attention through a pimping blog on Facebook on one of the many teaser posts they do. Have to admit the cover caught my eye. It’s hot and sexy. This is the first I had heard of this author. So I was fairly excited to read this novel. It was a decent size book also for the purchase price and that always makes me very happy. In fact after reading it I believe the author could possibly charge a bit more. Ella’s life is hard. With the loss of both her parents, she is struggling to find her way in life. She is at her wit’s end when it comes to making ends meet financially. Then a friend suggests a job for here enters Dace. What a connection these two have. They instantly feel the sexual tension between them however Ella sees Dace at being a bit of a man whore and in fact he has been. However he sees his light in Ella and they basically from the moment they meet are constantly around each other. However Ella is a bit naive and is really trying to put Dace into the friend zone. Unknown to her they are both heading down a track of friendship that is really a relationship. To me, I enjoyed the book. Yes there were a couple of times that I wanted to shake Ella and say “wake up woman”! And there was a part where I wanted to slap Dace. But overall I enjoyed the book. I thought it was well written and I am looking forward to reading more of this author’s work.
4.5 stars!!! I gave it 5 though, because I really, really liked the story and the way it flowed. It was light and sweet. Also gave it 5 because there was no Love Triangle!!! I absolutely hate love triangles, I am so sick and tired of them, also I hate heroines who go out with another guy only to make the hero gealous so yeah a book who doesn't have these things it's a breath of fresh air and yes a big plus for me.
Enraptured is that sweet story who keeps you between it's pages without letting you go. Maybe the story was a little bit predictable, but I've enjoyed it nonetheless. The story just gives you this sweet feeling and makes you enjoy it so much. There is drama here, but it's not exaggerated and you don't feel like slapping someone at those parts, so for me that is really good. Loved the hero and the heroine to bits and I've also loved the other characters. I liked that first the H and h became friends and after that they've morphed into love. Maybe this story doesn't bring anything new to the table, but you can't help not to love it.
I really love to discover this little gems of books and new authors.
My advice: Read this! it's really worth it and It's a good book for unwinding.
I loved this story and I'll tell you why. In a would full of weak heroines, Ella is NOT one of them. Despite surviving the tragic loss of her parents, she sets herself out to continue the journey her parents wanted for her.
This story talks about surviving loss and finding love in the most of unexpected places. Can love change the ways of a man used to getting what he wants?
Dace is a co-owner of an elite bar who has a reputation that precedes him. He's arrogant and doesn't care what people think about him.
Enter Ella, a near starving girl, who can barely rub two dimes together, who is in desperate need of a job at a place where she sticks out like a sore thumb.
There's something about these two that really calls out to me. This is not a book of instant love. The purest form of love between two people start with a longtime friendship, and while both realize there's more to their friendship than meets the eye, they keep their passions in check, nurturing a bond that no one or anything can easily break.
Enraptured is a beautifully written love story that will stay with you.
Five Shining Stars. Bravo, Ms. Carbonneau. You've done it again.
I got this for free on Amazon and I was pleasantly surprised it was actually good. It was well edited, a few misspelled words and grammatical errors but it did nothing to distract from the story.
The writing was good, the author didn't go to heavy on the descriptions of every little thing which I enjoyed. It allowed me to paint my own picture of things.
She did put an emphasis on Dace's blue eyes, his dark hair and his colorful tattoos but almost everything else was left to the imagination.
The reason this got 3.5 and not 4 stars was because as bad of a reputation as Dace had he was such a damn sweetheart with Ella. He wasn't really this alpha bad ass that everyone said he was. From the jump Ella said she felt safe with him and that he was a 'good person'. I wished we could have seen more of his 'bad boy' side, that would have been more interesting.
Also I hated the big reveal at the end, about Dace's secret. To me it wasnt' that big of a deal for Ella to have reacted the way she did.
Everything else about this book I really enjoyed. Especially their friendship. I liked the friendship part of the story that gradually moved on to more.
I debated on this rating because I was enjoying the book. I don't know what happened to the h. She was strong, had self-respect and discipline, and knew what she wanted. So what does she do? Catches him in the act after saying No to him, gets mad and takes him back almost immediately - back in bed with him within a few hours of catching him with OW.
I agree with a couple of other reviewers about the build to the relationship - I liked it. But deduct stars for doing a 180 with the heroine's character and trying to wrap this up too quickly. I will read just about anything - I don't have many triggers. I am disappointed that a strong heroine would take him back without making him work for it.
Some typos and editing errors. 2.5 very disappointing stars because she took him back immediately without making him appreciate her worth.

Omg I totally loved this book. Dace was funny & sexy as hell. Ella's stubbornness was hysterical, especially when Dace put her in her place....I love books with happy endings & this one I loved. I would read another one with them for sure, and of course I would read a book staring Daman. I read it all night because I couldn't put it down..it did have similarities to beautiful disaster, which I loved, but it did have its own story too..loved how their relationship grew from them being friends. He was so protective of her.
Couple of things I thought was weird in the story...I was surprised Bc I almost expected Dace to buy her parents house for her and surprise her for xmas. Also the secret he had wasn't THAT crazy. And when she caught him with kasey and then their first time, no talk of a condoms or safe sex, especially with his past? Idk.
There are times in my life that I love being a reviewer and today is that day. It is such a treat when I find an author I did not know and fall in love with his/her writing. Alannah has a gift. I was pulled into her story and could not shake loose. Her words flowed effortlessly. She stated in her book that she also got pulled in. That is easy to see. Often I read a book and can feel something at times throughout the book, a shock here, a gasp there, a tingle there but very rarely have I read a book that I feel a total connection all the way through the novel. It was so exceptionally written that I thought my body would combust with the heat generated between the main characters. I am addicted. I have to read book two right now. Thanks for an awesome read, Alannah! I am definitely a new fan!
