From the stimulatingly outlandish mind of Keegan Kennedy comes an unorthodox and kinky romance between a stepfather and a stepson that the reading world has never experienced before....
Based in Toronto, college student, Ian Proctor has been living with his German billionaire stepfather, Braun Richter, since the death of his mother, who had been a Canadian pop singer, actress and socialite. Not only does Ian wait on his stepfather hand and foot, he is also head over heels in love with and fixated on pleasing the six foot, five inch blond giant.
Braun, who is strict, demanding and possessive in regard to his gay stepson, has forbidden young Ian to date...until someone worthy of the shy and intelligent teen comes along. Of course, as a condition, any acceptable suitor for Ian would have be handpicked by Braun.
Unbeknownst to Ian, his obsession for his handsome and brooding stepfather is nothing compared to the obsession that Braun also has for him. On the day of his nineteenth birthday, Ian receives a surprise gift from Braun that will change their lives forever....
Originally hailing from Mississippi, Keegan Kennedy is a writer based out of Memphis, TN. As a child, sometimes his active imagination was the only friend that he had. Following a degree in History from the University of Southern Mississippi, Keegan floated around the corporate while dreaming of telling stories. His first novellas were in the arena of male-for-male erotica and romance. His earlier efforts were soon followed by success when his novel, Homecoming, went to Number One in on the LGBT charts in four countries: Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has a knack for uncovering love and romance in the darkest of places. With a tendency toward the melodramatic, he does more than arouse or excite the reader - he engages them.
His current release is the epic novel: The Harbinger – a chilling, apocalyptic tale of survival that decimated stereotypes and shocked his fans. Upcoming works include – a TBA romance between two anti-heroes. And by popular demand, he is re-mastering his older novellas into his new anthology series, the cheekily-named: Smooth Jocks and Gruff Jocks.
"I want to sincerely thank all of my readers! Because of you, I have spoken to and made new friends from across the globe on every continent with the exception of Antarctica - to my knowledge. Your kind words and encouragement have meant the world to me. I answer all emails, so feel free to contact me."
The set up here is fantastic, and reveals a lot of Kennedy's trademark crazy inventiveness with his captive scenarios. Braun is creepy, creepy, creepy as he takes Ian's freedoms away, one after another, and demands more and more control over his life. Unfortunately, the book shifts gears pretty quickly, and becomes a lot more luvvy-duvvy than would seem possible based on the opening.
Reader caution: The story features a lot of Kennedy's recurring themes--rape/capture fantasy, focus on feet, scent, father/son dynamic, extremely well-endowed masters, gagging, etc. with some other taboo stuff that I'd not seen anywhere else, but I've come to expect from this author.
Bottom Line: Kennedy is so intense and primal that I would totally read the opening chapters again just for the crazy set-up and the early stages of Ian's captivity, but I just don't like it when these stories go sweet.
I usually love the works of Keegan Kennedy. They are sexy and over the top. I love a super dominant male and his submissive. This book started out strong, but once these two got together it fell apart. The sex became repetitive and story was absurd. A real disappointment for me.
Didnt like this one as much as i usally like this authors books. I liked certain aspects of it, like the jealousy, the water sport, and the tracking chip but it needed a little more work.
What can you say, it's a Keegan Kennedy book. If you have ever read a Keegan book you know exactly what I mean, if not you are in for quite a ride. The story is about the relationship between a father and his stepson. Taboo, maybe. Disturbing, sometimes. But the story is about the love that these two men feel for each other. I say men because the stepson is over 18. The relationship between them is looked at from every emotion and explained so that by the end you understand their love. If you can get through the kink scenes, you may really enjoy this story. I really did. Keegan Kennedy always tells a really great unique story.
More expansive and deeper characters make this one a standout from this author. The same cautions apply - lots of fetish stuff in here. I'm totally twisted because I so enjoy reading what stuff other folks like in terms of fetish. Not really noncon - more like consensual noncon/dubcon at times but the psychology is great. Hot and smokin sex - it's all good! REMINDER: This is fantasy. The BDSM Reelmeter is not high here overall. For some elements its right on and others (like the drugging of the sub) it's a no go. Keep in mind it's all about exploring fantasies in a safe environment (the world of the book) and you will be fine.
' Taking the back of the expensive dress shoe and the heel into one hand, I gently pulled off his right shoe. A ripe and potent smell filled my nostrils, and I almost swooned from the sharp aroma of his manly, gigantic feet.'
Thank you, that's it. I'm not gonna follow this through, not even for the amusement of having a German semi-Nazi-step-dad-uber dom-MC.
2 points - one of which is given because it did make me laugh quite often...
All kinds of disturbing, and I'm not just talking about the terrible editing job. This book manages to take a hot concept and mix in every way to scare off a potential partner or reader, resulting in an utterly skeezy book that is extremely difficult to read. Cannot recommend to anyone.
God I love Keegan Kennedy's filthy nasty mind. I just wish some editing was involved. This book was hot and all sex, all the time. Personally not a big fan of the sock/sweat fetish thing, but whatever. It was sorta hard to like Braun too. I always like to see my big uber-alpha daddies bend a little when it comes to their sweet boys.
Read it and liked it, but a little disturbed especially when I looked up what the hell "smegma" was...turned my stomach a bit. Otherwise it was a good story.
This book was disturbing, disgusting, funny and hot, all at the same time. Kudos to the author!
Disturbing because Gunther, the stepfather, seemed like a psycho, obsessed with his young step-son and obsessed with the idea of "owning" a submissive young toy. The things this guy does to the boy! And I don't mean the sexual aspect only, but to mark him, out him an internal chip (so he can know where Ian is all the time), putting him in a cum-protector cage, etc, etc. It was disturbing to think that Gunther's cock was the size of Ian's forearm and Ian's size was the same as Gunther's thumb (???). Disturbing because Ian was literally a sex slave toy.. Gunther did what he wanted to him, there was no safeword and even drugged him, non-con. How in the world this psycho got married so many times! He should have been in a mental institute, he was THAT crazy.
Disgusting because of the sock fetish, which is a fetish I just can't even read about. I skipped all of them. And other stuff I don't want to remember. And this is the first bdsm I read where the dom is the only one who cums dozens time a day, while the sub lives permanently with the cage thing. I think Ian cums twice in the entire book, since according to Gunther, Ian must forget he has a male part and enjoy thru his "boypussy".
Which leads to the funny part... the dirty talk was hot but unintentionally funny as well. Gunther is all about the "enjoy my enormous, gigantic dong, mein gute Junge!" (I am not even sure if that expression exists in German.. even in English sounds awful.. "my good boy") and "I love your boypussy!" and other stuff that made me chuckle since who talks like that!? Seemed like a parody and that the author was not serious about his hot stuff.
And is spite of all, it was also very hot since it was so taboo. That was the main reason I've read it anyway.
This was a different kind of book. Braun was a lot to take in. A lot. I knew I was in for some possessive stuff, but the lengths that Braun was willing to go to keep Ian was crazy.
Poor Ian. I get that he was into it all, but can the boy get a glass is water?? Please? My god, the only think he drinks in this entire book is two glasses of wine and some piss. He’s gotta be dehydrated. Also, ductape all around his face? Ouch!
Not much worked for me with this one, but it was a fun popcorn type of book that you just sit back and enjoy for the entertainment value.
Since then there are people. But that really is not something that I (at least) want to read under the tag 'gay eroticism'.
Why abuse? Because (in this sory) the balance of power is totally maladjusted / unbalanced.
I have nothing in principle against significant age difference, boys who 'submit' to (alpha) men for the benefit of increased fun, pleasure or quality of life for both sides. I am not obligatory a fan of dirty socks, but I feel not compelled to puke when I read about them.
But I can not and will not condone, even as a delirium of fever, a story about the quasi-enslavement of an inexperienced, love deprived and love hungry, timid, weak-willed teenager who is all alone in the world.
The consent - an essential part in a domination / submission situation - is more than doubtful, because the young one can not say 'no'. And the impression that inexperienced / curious readers get about the morals and spiritual life of homosexual or bisexual men and boys from this story is horrible.
I do like Keegan Kennedy's style and I enjoyed stories like 'Dominance and Revenge' a lot. But this one is too over the top even for a (self) parody.
I gave it a 5 star, because it was full of emotions, it followed from one page to the next. I started and have not put it down until now. Kennedy story sensational, and erotica. like all the stories have read of his. just think about what Ian and Braun went though and the loss to get the happy ever after. brings tears to my eyes. so please if you like these kinds stories you have to read Kennedy books.
Dark and extremely explicit. A lot of scenes are disturbing and this book is full of them. But in general, this book is a BDSM book so you'd definitely expect to see more of that theme playing out and see a whole darker side of it with this one. This book isn't just touching BDSM, but also taboo practices which you'll find out if you read this.
I really enjoy kinky and bdsm books, but honestly parts of this book really disturb me; Druging your submissive with chloraform doesn't seem " safe, sane or consensual " to me, but I enjoyed the writing though, interesting to say the least.
Mind boggling is the best I can come up with to describe my reading experience with this book. Not fabulous writing but it had some incredibly hot scenes.
