The author masterfully intertwines the historical events of the Tunisian revolution with the emotional reality of living under the Ennahda regime. She perfectly captures and transmits the raw, mixed emotions of that era—the fear, the profound sadness, and yet, a stubborn glimmer of hope for Tunisia’s future. As someone with a deep, inexplicable love for Tunisia, I am always drawn to books that blend its story, history, and politics, and this one delivered beautifully.

Beyond the politics, the book introduces a cast of fascinating characters. I thoroughly enjoyed uncovering their stories, personalities, and secrets, and seeing how their lives connected—they were so beautifully similar, yet uniquely different

I loved the book and I had to read again when i finished it just to pay more attention to the details. You can say that it's a short book about 4 or 5 main characters, they are all connected to each other ( friends or/and lovers) with the same hope : a better Tunisia
The auther has this fascinating way in telling us the before and after events of the Tunisians revolution while keeping us emotionally connected to her characters and their stories
