I swear that Julia had two personalities. And one of them was selfish and had a big ego. I didn't like the book at all.

Another great short read. I loved how it ended. Not a cliffhanger, but awesome news! I don't think I'll be reading the next, but I totally enjoyed this series.

This is the third instalment in this heart warming series featuring a blind Alpha wolf and his small pack. Damien has met his mate Julia and although they had thought she was fully human have recently discovered that she is in fact a pure blood shifter but is unable to change into her wolf form. Together they face sadness as Julia doesn't think that it's possible for her to give Damien children and she's also struggling to come to terms with her inability to shift.
IN the previous book Damien and his pack rescued Julia from Trax and his pure blood shifters . Shifters who would have raped her. Having killed the rogue Alpha Damien offered a home with his pack to Mara a female who had been abused. Still not sure how much they can trust Mara as she shows very aggressive tendencies Damien's pack struggle to come to terms with the newcomer. Things take a turn for the worse when Maras actions put the pack in danger and Julia decides to attempt a journey into unknown territory with Mara as her guide.
These short novellas are such fun to read. I wasn't sure at first as I do prefer a longer book but I'm so glad that we the readers don't have to wait quite so long between instalments. Loving the idea of a wolf that Is blind as an Alpha and his mate Julia tries so hard to fit in with the pack. There is a cliffhanger ending but it's still great fun. Well done Ms Rose and more please

I finally read this after telling myself weeks ago that I'd start it. I just didn't like it sitting around my "currently reading" list when I wasn't really doing it.

First, I have 2 nitpicks about this author. She uses the character names too much. In a narration paragraph when there is only one person's actions being described, it IS okay to use pronouns. I find it rather annoying to see narration full of Julia this and Julia that with nary a she.

My other nitpick is that in this story and the first she did alternating chapters and labelled them as Julia and Damien. That's not necessary in something written in 3rd person. I've seen recent dystopian YA stories do that when it's all a 1st person narrator that shifts around (example: Ally Condie's Matched series or Beth Revis's Across the Universe series). It makes sense to label it there, but not here.

As for the story, Julia starts off, and she irritates me for being whiny. But by the end of it, she turns out okay. There is action and she saves herself. I love that part. She gets to do something, and everyone is better for it.

To potential readers: This is not a great stand-alone story. It is best to read them in order starting with Blind Wolf.

We rejoin Damien and Julia as they are all settling down into Julia's house. Kyle and Katherine are working on building their own cabin for privacy, Jordan is building his own shelter, and Julia and Katherine are working on planning out what they are going to go to college for. That's not even the start of this novella.

Damien and Julia both want to start a family. Before Julia never realized how bad she would want to until the possibility of it not happening thanks to her not being able to change would cause. She wants to go see the werewitch that suppressed her ability in the first place but Damien doesn't want her to do it alone. Dee doesn't want her to go at all because the were witch still lives in Trax's territory.

You have to read what happens, because you have to remember that Damien spared Mara, one of Trax's females, what will happen when she tries to acclimate to the pack? How will the others handle her? Will Julia be able to handle it when Damien physically responds to Mara? And will Julia find out why she can't shift and become pregnant?

There's something about the concept of this series that's good but the execution just isn't doing it. The character of the wolf Damien is actually a strong character but not strong enough to carry the book by himself. You find yourself intrigued by him and wanting to know more about him which Rose tends to fall short on in the end. His mate Julia is a complete disappointment and reason why the book was so bad. I have never read a more whiney, annoying, self absorbed character in a long time. It wouldn't be so bad if the character of Julia had depth to her but the passion that seems to come out of her is when she's being insecure, or self absorbed. It's a shame because I do like the storyline behind this series if not the title (something about anything titled 'the bbw shifter series' seems corny as hell).

I was gonna give this book a 2 stars when I was half way through the book, but the 2nd half turned out much better. First half was Julia saying "Omg stop reading my mind it's annoying because I can't read yours! I'm alone because I can't shift so I don't feel part of the pack. I really want a fam bam but idk if I can get knocked up, and I want to go to college still but I kinda don't because since I'm a shifter I don't need college but I don't want to changes plans just cause I'm a shifter." That's all I heard in the first half. Thankfully the second half had more action and omg moments. The first part did have those hot scenes though so I gotta give it that.
I knew that she was . . . Because you could tell before the end.
I still think Damien is hot even though he's blind. That might make him hotter. Idk.
So yeah 3.5 Estrellas/Stars.

The third book in the Werewolf BBW Shifter Romance series is an intriguing and action packed addition to this shifter serial.

Julia and Damien want to start a family, but Julia’s shifting ability was suppressed years ago by a werewitch, so Julia sets off on a quest to get her shifting ability back.

This fast paced plot is an action packed and emotional adventure for Julia. The author brings the story life with vivid imagery and strong compelling characters that the reader can easily relate to. The romance and emotions between Julia and Damien is conveyed with intense detail and the romance is scorching hot.

This serial romance is a great read with unique elements that make it a refreshing change and I can’t wait to read the next one.

3-stars. It's one of those kinds of books that I liked it enough, but not so much that I'd attempt to read the next one. Aubrey does a good job of building this story out to show us the story behind Human shifter.

But it fell short in my mind. The story became dull and predictable. However, even though the story was left at a cliff-hanger, I was happy with finding out that the dull storyline was brought to a quick ending.

I received a copy from Netgally and publisher for honest review.

Human Shifter is the 3rd installment in this series by Aubrey Rose. Damien and Julie are struggling with fertility issues that are straining the relationship. I think I liked it better than the others. I read the warning about the cliffhanger. I was happy to discover that it was not a horrible cliffhanger! I think it's just getting interesting and look forward to the next story.

Excellent third book in the the Blind Wolf Series. Mysteries revealed, foes become friends or do they? Damien and Julia's love strengthens as they work through rough places in their relationship. A minor cliff hanger ending but as the next book is out I can endure it.

I have enjoyed all the books in this series so far but I have to say I really enjoyed this one. Lot of action that keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next! I really loved the cliffhanger.

Great read!

Hunting a werewitch to undo her voodoo! Dreams that are not dreams, attacks/kidnappings, and more fighting. Very whiny you lied / betrayed??? Anyway werewitch says sorry can't help you, you just don't want it bad enough!

Very good book. You could feel the hopelessness and the wanting to shift to were. Although.. I really hate cliffhangers, but you can end the series here if you wanted to.
