The story opens where embracing life left off, Melanie wakes up in the hospital and everyone slowly comes to visit her-except the one person she really wants to see. She didn't understand why he hasn't come and starts to believe he doesn't think she's worth it. You won't believe where he actually was!

Then we move on to the actual felon/abuser/kidnapper, and you also won't believe who is helping him!

This story has so many twists and turns, you can't even anticipate what will happen next! But the best part is, there's a nice little HEA waiting after all the drama. :)

Embracing Love
I received an ARC copy of this book to give an honest review that I will post to Amazon as well as Goodreads. Then I will have listed on my blog.

We start off with Melanie trying to figure out who has a hold of her while she is slipping in and out of reality. She is hoping that the person who has a hold of her is Josh, but she has this awful feeling its Steven the one who abused her all those years ago. She see what she hopes is Josh’s blue eyes look at her, but all she is seeing is red with shadows.

There is all kinds of noise behind them as Josh is trying his hardest to get Melanie to come back to him. He keep saying that he has her and holds her so tight that he will not let go. While she is out she let out an awful scream that scares Josh but he doesn’t let go he keep a hold of her. Meanwhile Mike is trying to assist the medics that are trying to get him to let go of her so they can get her to the hospital to make sure she is ok. This tug of war of such goes on for a while until Mike gets assistance from Mr. Peterson to take Josh down. They are hold him down and Melanie is taken away to the hospital. Katie is in total shock as she see her best friend limp in the guy’s arms that is carrying to away.

When Katie, Mike and Josh get to the location that Melanie was the guys would not allow her to get out of Josh’s truck to go anywhere near where Melanie was. They were scared that Steven would see her and they didn’t want anything to happen to her. So what that said she watched as her boyfriend and best friend made their way to the corner story that Melanie was in. They were in the alley watching her in the story and did want to scare her but to be there when she made a run for it. Katie was getting tired of wait in the truck and decides she is going to get out and find out just what’s going on. She sees the car and can tell someone is sitting in it. When she sees his face she remembers from Melanie’s story who he was. With built up anger she starts walking towards the car, but Steven gets out of the car and Katie is in total shock when she see the red of his eyes. Josh sees her and yell at Mike to go and she her. As Mike runs after her the cops that they had stopped off and talked to on their way to find her were on their way light and everything going. Katie was standing in the middle of the road and almost got hit. If it was for Mike being as fast as he was she would have been for sure.

The three of them are not allowed to leave to go see Melanie to see if she was ok just yet. They had to stay and talk with the cops and Josh was shocked to see their principle there. He is lead off to talk with him, Mike is taken by his father to talk with him and Katie is sitting at the pier talking with another female officer giving the information she has. They all have the same information, but as they are talking the radios on them keep squawking. Josh is trying to figure out why everyone is on edge. It’s not until he learn that Steven go away somehow and they are try to find him. Katie is getting very upset with the office she is talking and want to get to Mike so they can go to Melanie. Finally they allow them to leave to go to the hospital. Josh is sitting in the car steering out the window, Katie has not said anything and neither has Mike. When they get to the hospital everyone goes in but Josh hangs back. Katie is worried something is wrong, but he tells her that he is fine and that he will be in very shortly.

Okay I have to end here because there is so much action that happens at the hospital that I think you should read it for yourself to find out what happens between all of them. I hope there is a tired book in the series.

My heart just aches for Melanie, this poor shattered girl had me in tears and wishing I could rip Steven apart and feed him to the sharks bit by bit!
I could feel her fear and anxiety at her situation. I really enjoy a book that makes me feel. I've got alot of respect for Melanie in that eventhough she's a victim she chooses to fight back both physically and emotionally and is determined to win the battle!

As Melanie comes to from her ordeal she's confused at first and then her memories come flooding back like a tidal wave and my heart just shatters for her, she is such a strong individual!

All she wants is Josh and everyone thinks that he deserted but he hasn't he just needed space to get over the shock and let everything sink in.on his way back to Melanie in the hospital, lets say he has a nasty run in with a car! Now he's in hospital unknown to Melanie who's pining for him .It's where you really realise what awful parents he has, alkyl they do is attack, insult and accuse and there is no support or sympathy I hope they hang their heads in shame when they realise what a wonderful, loving and brave boy they have! Eventually Katie breaks the news to Natalie about Josh's accident which is great because it will aid her healing process knowing she wasn't deserted. ♥

DO NOT be fooled by the title it's not a romance novel it's so much more! ! It's filled with drama, suspense, romance and thriller. It fills you with a range of emotion from warm and fuzzy to sad and confused to anxious and scared! A definite ★★★★★

Nearing the end there's an unexpected twist in the plot, one of this WTH ????? moments! ! I re-read the paragraph just to make sure I read correctly and I did! After this twist my nerves are shot and I'm on the edge of my reading throne in anticipation, hold toilet and coffee break! I jystcneeded wanted to keep on reading! Brilliant end to a brilliant book.

4.5 AMAZING STARS!!!
This is the second installment in the “love Series” from Nicky Jayne and what an emotional ride it was! Embracing Love was a captivating read with several twists and turns. Just when I thought I was starting to figure things out there would be another layer to peel back creating more suspense.

The story picks up right where Embracing Life left off. When Melanie finally makes her way to the hospital she drifts in and out of consciousness. She is trying really hard to cling to “the eyes” that ground her but he’s not there. Katie and Mike are by her side but the one she needs, the one she wants, Josh is nowhere to be found.

We are given more insight into all of the characters we were introduced to in Embracing Life and their entwined history. The story was gripping and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The web that you will uncover as your read will keep you engaged right through to the end.

I was pulling for Melanie to find some sense of peace and more than that happiness and was hoping that it would finally be with Josh. I felt for Josh. He was willing to endure just about anything to have a life with Melanie after admiring her from afar for so long. When all is said and done the story wraps giving us a nice little package tied up with a bow.

If you have not yet had the pleasure of reading a novel from Nicky Jayne you should. She may be new to the writing world but with books like these she will be around for a long time.

Embracing Love quite simply blew me away.
The emotion pulled from you by the Embracing books is staggering, it's been so long since a I've found a book that makes me cry, angry and afraid all in the same story, let alone two books in a row.

Embracing Love picks up where Embracing Life left off, Melanie wakes up in the hospital. She had come to terms with loving Josh, wanting to be with him, but when she awakens he's nowhere to be found.
She's angry with her best friends because their not Josh, she can't understand why he's not there.
Josh meanwhile is in the same hospital unable to see her.
A nice twist brings them face to face.

The amount of information we get in this book concerning Melanie and her protectors is huge, so much of what was unanswered in the end of Embracing Life all comes out in this story.

There are many points of view in this book, we find out more about what it took to protect Melanie, who all was involved, add in a nice twist or two and this is a great ending to the series.

Of course I'd never turn down an additional story after this one, I'd be first in line to grab it.

I love this book. You must read Embracing Life first or you will have no idea what is going on. This book is so good. You get to find out more about the other "players" in the story. There is a huge twist that I totally did not see coming. I love Josh! He is such a great guy. I am so glad Melanie is finally able to overcome her past and look to the future. This is a great book and I recommend it to anyone who loves a great story.

Melanie's strength was the driving force of this book. She has suffered and endured. She learns much more about her past than she ever knew and has to figure out how to love now. Katie, Mike, and Josh are the best kinds of friends. Glad this book was already written when I finished book 1 so I could go straight into it.

Embracing Love is the second book in the "Love Series" and Author Nicky Jane has done it once again. From the first page you you are drawn into this continuing story of Melanie and her fight to over come her heartbreaking past. Told in multiple POV.

Embracing Love, picks up right were Embracing Life left off. Steven has come and lured Melanie away . And once Katie, Mike and Josh find out, they head out to find her. Hoping that Steven has not created more damage to Melanie's young life. She has already come so far. The last thing she needs is to start over again. When Mike finally tells Josh about Melanie's past he is more determined than ever to find her. But at the same time he feels that he can only hold her back. She has Katie and Mike to protect her, and they have not given him the chance to be there for Melanie. When Katie makes a plea for Josh to return to the hospital, he ends up injured and as a patient in the same hospital as Melanie. When a strange turn of events unites them. Will they be able to hold on to one another and see where their love for one another will take them? Will they be able to make a fresh start,a

One of the best parts of this book is the depth to the characters. We learn so much more about each of them and the larger roles that they play in Melanie's life. The Author dug deep and really developed each character. Exposing the secrets and lies that have plagued their pasts and turned them into the people that they are today. Told with so much emotion this book grips you from the beginning and you are hanging on until the last page. Will they be able to hold on to one another and see where their love for one another will take them? Will they be able to make a fresh start, and get away from all the madness that has consumed them? Will Josh be able to help Melanie put her past behind her, once and for all or are there more road blocks ahead for them? This series is a refreshing read. I found it to be very unique, filled with twist and turns and moments of anger, sadness, betrayal and above all the love that ties two young lives together.

I received this book from Roses Book Snobs in exchange for an honest review .

DO NOT be fooled by the title, it's not a romance novel IT IS SO MUCH MORE! It's filled with suspense, thriller, romance and drama. You experience a range of emotions from sad and confused to anxious and scared and even the ah moments ♥

A ★★★★★ star read and so worthwhile!

After reading Embracing Life I immediately went onto Embracing Love. I was to jittery not to .

Embracing Love picks up where Embracing Life left off.

My heart just aches for Melanie, this poor shattered girl had me in tears and wishing I could rip Steven apart and feed him to the sharks bit by bit!

I could feel her fear and anxiety at her situation. I really enjoy a book that makes me feel! I've got a lot of respect for Melanie in that eventhough she's a victim she chooses to fight physically and emotionally and she's determined to win the battle and not let Steven win .

As Melanie comes to from her ordeal she's confused at first then her memories come flooding back! My heart just breaks for her she's so strong.

All she wants is Josh and everyone thinks he deserted her but he just needed space to get over the shock and let the events sink in. He goes back to Melanie only to have nasty experience that lands him in hospital!

It's here where we see what awful parents Josh had they accuse, attack and insult there's absolutely no compassion for him! I hope they hang their heads in shame when they realise what a strong and heroic boy they have.

Katie finally breaks the news to Melanie about Josh which I was grateful for because it would help in her healing process knowing that he never deserted her.

Nearing the end there's a plot twist of note, a real WTH moment! I re-read the paragraph again just to make sure I read correctly and I did! After the twist my nerves were shattered and I found myself on the edge of my reading throne! Stop the toilet breaks, the coffee breaks. Dinner could wait I just had to keep reading! Brilliant end to a brilliant book!

First let me start off by saying that if you have not seen my review of Embracing Life them please read that first so as not to be confused.

I was very happy with this novella. Now I was a little upset with how the previous novella had ended. That was not the case with Embracing Love. The story flowed nicely and ended on a note that leaves you wanting more, but one that also offers closure. I wouldn't mind seeing where Josh and Melanie would be a couple more years down the road.

Now onto Embracing Love itself. The story picks up exactly where Embracing Life left off, which is nice. Usually I am not a huge fan of jumping perspectives in books. Again I am one of those people that are easily confused with stuff like that. However it worked wonderfully in Embracing Love. You get to see the story unfold through every main character's eyes.

Melanie's past is coming to light more and more throughout the story. Secrets that have been in place for years are slowly revealed, and Melanie is finally starting to feel again. Although scared in the past she realizes that its time to move on . She needs to actually live life instead of endure it.

She knows that she has the people around her that will be there no matter what, but they still don't know the complete story. And for Melanie the nightmare isn't quite over yet.

A great sequel to Embracing Life and as I said above I would love to see at least one more installment on where everyone is after like a 10 year period.

Such a beautiful story.

Embracing Love is the continuation of Melanie and Josh´s story from Embracing Life.

Like the first book this one is also emotional with unexpected twist and turns and drama.

Story simply consumes you and captures all of your attention.

The end has a beautiful HEA.

I simply enjoyed being consumes by the story.
