From fantasy author Moira Katson, a collection of short stories set in the world of Light & Shadow.
A new king must find a way to end the invasion of his homeland. A young woman grapples with the reality of a devastating prophecy. A rebel finds himself aiding the monarchy he swore to overturn. Return to Heddred to learn more about characters familiar and unfamiliar, friends and foes...
I am a transplant to the frozen wastes of the midwest, learning to love fried food on a stick, hot dish, and the winters. Having recently bought a house, I am also learning everything from how to wire chandeliers to how best to paint a room. (Also, I spend too much time at Menard's.)
I have been writing since I was old enough to read, and I write on every scrap of paper I can get my hands on. In the meantime, I read - oh, I read so much! I like to read articles about science, about economics, about psychology and neuroscience and sociology... Some of my greatest character inspiration has come from true-life tales of people at the center of historical events, and some of it has come from the "what-ifs" that academic inquiry produces.

If you ever wondered about some of the characters we catch tantalising glimpses of throughout the Trilogy, then this is the book for you. I'm not going to include any spoilers, but it's well worth a read and will, at the end, leave you feeling as though a few of those 'but what about' questions have been resolved.
Additional novella/chapters to the original 3 books; tells each individual's background or specific story. It's written as well as the books, but don't expect a long novel following one character's story/challenge. We get a taste of several of the main characters, which I found interesting after reading the other three.
Rather than a single story, this book deals with the individual characters, with time overlaps connecting to the other Light & Shadow books. I must admit I was disappointed. because I wanted more action.
A nice collection of short origin stories and epilogues. Roine's was surprisingly the most interesting to me, and Miriel's was the most disappointing. A non-event, really. But yeah. Nice. If just for Roine, Jacces, and Marie de la Marque.
This is a collection of thoughts from the point of view of several characters. I think it helped answer a few questions. Definitely worth the time to read.
Really interesting series and I really liked reading the point of view of the other characters, it gave me insight into the story that Catwin did not have.
