Fans of contemporary romance who love Hallmark vibes with a spicy twist don’t want to miss this next installment in the Hadley Falls Sage. Written especially for readers who love Corinne Michaels.
I'm Ashley Kay! Best Selling Contemporary Romance Author.
I currently live in SW with my little girl and growly husband.
I've got a thing for wine labels, desserts, and all things sparkly. Can't forget the pens though, office supplies make me giddy.
When I'm not chasing my little around you can usually find me sipping coffee with headphones writing or with my nose buried in a book.
We are very family oriented. You can most likely catch me at a hockey game or chilling with family around the grill with a cold beer.
Don't get me wrong I love a good girls weekend or better yet a weekend alone with my hunky husband.
Fantastic hubby aside at my core I'm a dreamer and a creator. My favorite part of the day beside my family is sitting down to dive into the world I've created. I can't wait to share it with you!
Read the ARC of this one, but it just came out! Loved the storyline and character building. Second chance love story. 3/5🔥, but quite explicit. Part of a series, but can also stand alone.
I really really wanted to like this one and give it a shot, I haven’t read Ashely’s work before and she sent me an ARC copy… but I couldn’t do it.
Something about it just didn’t grab my attention and pull me in. Maybe that’s because I didn’t read the previous 2 books (all standalone books though), and I won’t fault her for that since I went into this knowing I might have a little catching up to do. But I really just lagged trying to read this.
The story was too fast-paced and clunky, I felt like I couldn’t follow the story. The amount of emotional back and forth the characters had in what I read gave me whiplash. One minute she’s crying because she feels like she’s betraying her recently deceased fiancé, but then she’s like “never mind I’m fine” in the span of a few hours.
I think the plot had a lot of potential, and I was drawn in by the summary. I honestly feel so sad that I had to DNF because I hate doing that, and this author was so kind to me, but it just wasn’t for me.
Ashley Kay is an author that was recommended to me by my daughter. This is the first one of the Hadley Falls series that I've read and I can't wait to go back and read the other two. Even though this is the third book in the series, I found it very easy to keep up with the story elements that were carried over from the previous books.
I won't get into anything too much so as not to give out any spoilers, but I love the story of Jameson and Elise and the secrets and grief that they go through. So many parts of the book are relatable to so many people. I love it when I am able to really sink into a book and forget the rest of the world and that is something that I was able to do so easily with this book.
The plot was on point and moved at a pace that made it easy to binge read all in one session. No parts felt too fast or too slow and you can tell that a lot of time and care went into each aspect of the story.
I am looking forward to getting into the rest of Ashley's books as soon as I can!
