12 books24 followersI'm a mother of two wonderful children and a wife of nearly 20 years to one amazingly patient husband. I've been an avid reader all my life. I actually can't remember not reading. As a kid, I would spend the hottest days of summer in the library basement (the kids section) curled up on beanbag chairs reading in the air conditioning.
As I've gotten older I decided to try my hand at writing and really enjoy the creative aspect and the little extra cash it adds to our budget. My genre is pretty much anything romance, but I'm partial to suspense and contemporary.
Recently I've discovered the benefits of audio books and love that I can now listen to my stories while I drive to and from my EDJ.
I also love to draw (charcoal pencil is my favorite medium), play on Photoshop creating my own book covers (and sometimes covers for other authors, scrapbook when I have time and generally just do crafts.
My favorite television shows are usually mystery/suspense stuff. CSI Las Vegas, Castle, Bones and some reality stuff like Deadliest Catch, American Pickers and The Voice. Oh and I am a rabid wrestling fan. Yes I know the storylines are fake and the matches are usually predetermined and sometimes scripted. For me it's mindless fun and I enjoy following the scripts and guessing what the creative teams will come up with next. I also love, love, love 'The Shield'. Those boys are hugely talented and pretty yummy to look at too!

I am usually not big on short reads and most of the time don't really read them anymore. When I came across this book I think what caught me first was the theme. I am a die hard NASCAR fan and usually read anything that I can get my hands on with a race car driver. Well I didn't get my driver but the owner this time.
It seems now days every magazine you pick up or tv show that is on every girl is stick thin. Well with this book it shows us that even curves can be sexy.
In this book we get to see Shannon over coming her fear of opening up to a new relationship due to an ex that uses her. Her self-esteem is at an all time low due to big bigger and being cheated on which leads her to having no hope of finding her HEA. Then in steps Brent rich, sexy, dominant race car owner. From the minute he sets his eyes on Shannon he makes it known he wants her and he always get what he wants ;).
I am really looking forward to the next book in the series to find out where this relationship goes. This is definitely a book I would recommend.

I have actually read the Complete Collection of Reckless Curves and I found these books to be a truly sweet love story with lots of action, steamy encounters, plot twists and turns. The action is suspenseful with numerous twists and turns. I managed to narrow the pool of suspects down to three only to discover I had only figured out part of puzzle of who was behind many of their woes.
The female lead, Shannon, is a beautiful, strong, and intelligent woman who happens to be just a smidge insecure because of her plus size figure and bad marriage. She is a competent professional woman who encounters the male lead in the course of her job. It doesn't take long for the fireworks to begin.
The male lead, Brent, is a dashing, domineering, all alpha-male who immediately recognizes Shannon's beauty and worth. He's a sexy, powerful self-made American success story who also happens to be Dom. So yeah, there are some highly entertaining kinky sex scenes in these books.
While there were a couple of continuity issues and some editing issues it certainly wasn't enough to detract my interest from the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ms. Stapleton's "Reckless Curves." I hope to see a story about the dashing man-whore Callan sometime soon.

This is a feel good read. Shannon is a plus size/curvy woman. Beautiful inside and out. But her ex-husband Wayne, told her otherwise. Once he got his dream job, she became the fat b*$*!. Why settle on her when he can now have any woman he wants. He bascially used her used her until his dreams came true, in the motorsports world. Ironically, her biggest client is Brent Hague, who is in the motorsports world. Guess where this is going. Yes, in having to go and meet Brent face to face to resolve an issue, she runs into the ex-husband. Brent genuinely likes her and all her curves. She's reluctant to trust his words because of all the things her ex said and did to her. But Brent is the type of man who doesn't take no for an answer, in anything. I purposely left out the interactions and run ins with her ex so that you will go out and read the book. You will enjoy it. I can't wait for Part II.

This was just an okay story for me. I thought it was a standalone but apparently Shannon and Brent's story continues, although this book ended in a happy for now. I just didn't feel any connection between the characters. They had only known each other for two days and Shannon entered into a BDSM relationship with him. One of the primary tenets of that type of relationship, in every story I've read, is trust. However, Shannon didn't know enough about Brent to trust him or not to trust him. I also felt the addiction of the BDSM element was a bit artificial. It didn't feel natural to the story but a by-popular-demand add-on. The story was an easy read but it did not spark my interest in continuing the series.

I received an advance copy from the author. It was a fun read and very sweet story. It tells the story of Shannon Meyers who's a big girl and who's marriage fell apart because of cheating ex and derogative comments about her weight. What I love about this book is that Brent Hague loved Shannon's curves and accepts her and her flaws. It makes us believe and hope there are happy endings in all sizes. I felt slightly discontented with the ending because I expected more. Luckily, it was included that there would be Reckless Curves 2. I'm looking forward to reading the next book!

I have to say that this isnt the first book I have read of sienna's and wont be my last either. shannon and brent's story is great. She is a big girl and he is one hot man but they work together. Brent meets shannon and right away he wants her which is what I liked about this story. No build up just he meets her and wants her and thats it. She has issues of coruse but he doesnt care and he is a dom so boy oh boy it gets hot. I am happy i went straight to book 2 now i need book 3...so hurry

Overall, I liked this short story. I enjoyed the characters and would like to seem a bigger story arc with them both. As a ridiculous, level 10 NASCAR fan, there are a couple of very small mis-steps when it comes to the scenes at the track but truly they're very small and no big deal. I look forward to more from this author.

I read this not knowing it was part of a series but I am not disappointed. I feel like this book ended well without a major cliffhanger, for those that are bothered by cliffhangers. I fell in love with the characters though and am interested where the author leads them.

This book was really good. I did love that he didn't pause in going after her. I wish it was longer but I saw there would be a 2nd book. I can't wait to read it and see what happens next.

Loved it, I was so disappointed that book 2 is not out yet. Loved the way Brent handled Shannon's ex husband. Story flowed really well for me. I really did not expect to like it as much as I did.
