Ellie Paige, now fifteen, used to deal with monsters like most high school losers: she pretended they didn't exist—from the prettier, slimmer girls who wrote nasty things about her on the bathroom walls to the boys who taped dirty drawings to her locker door.
But some monsters couldn't be ignored, and there are worse things in the world than high school; a lesson Ellie learnt when she was savaged one night by a terrifying creature in the woods behind the school, turning her into a creature she had feared all her life …
In the sequel to 'Rising Fang', life has never been harder for Ellie. With Connor lost to her when her secret came out, she tried her best to move on. She tried to be human, but the boy whose bite changed her existence forever, and his legacy, continued to haunt her. When Connor returned, Ellie's life was complete – but he returned with danger in store, and the wild wanted revenge on her. Thrown into a desperate war for survival that tested her allegiance to a secret clan of werewolves, Ellie must reconsider who and what she is, no matter what the cost.
The Second installment of “Rising Fang”. Conner has returns to the world of the humans, after breaking some of the Wild werewolves pack rules. With his return he also brings some dangerous trouble with him.
Within “Revenge of the Wild” we get to know some new characters, who are from the Wild werewolves pack and learn about how they live and what the different lifestyle are from Ellie’s pack and the Wild pack. The author’s writing has definitely improved within this book and her add in of illustration of Wolves are beautiful, really enjoyed seeing them at each chapter. This story felt more of an ‘teenagers going through high school’ then a supernatural teen werewolves, I was really hoping we had more part/scenes of werewolves within this installment, I just didn’t felt like there was enough and from the blurb I was expected some battle between Ellie’s pack and the Wild pack or some wolves fights but we really didn’t get one. The ending was nice, sweet and sad but was kind of the same as ‘Rising Fang’
"Revenge of the Wild" was likable and fun read but I was excepting a bit more and I wanted the Wolves side of the story to be explored a bit more then it was within the book. I was a little disappointed but I’m hoping the next installment lives up to my exceptions and wants. I'll like to thank the author for allowing me to read her book!(Thank you)
Update: 20/01/2016 same feeling about this book like the first book because of the TV show...
After reading Rising Fang I was kinda heartbroken because Conner had left Ellie. So if you've read Rising Fang it will be very handy to understand everything that happens in Revenge Of The Wild.
About the book: After making the alpha male of the wild wolves's pack angry, Conner runs back to Ellie. She's happy he's back. But then Bella goes to her school and she figueres out Connor and Bella are good friends... She's jealous and I totally understand. But Ellie becomes nicer to Bella. A lot of things happen, which I'm not going to say because you'll have to read it for yourself. Otherwise I'll spoil you too much.
My thoughts: I think Revenge of the Wild is a great sequel and I definetly recommand this one to everyone who's interessted for a new kind of werewolf story.
Sometimes it kind of annoyed me when Ellie is overreacting or accepting everything immediately, but I got used to it. Overall it's a good story, likeable characters and a good plot.
This is the first book I have read from this author and it held my attention all the way through. I would definitely recommend it to any teenager to the young at heart. It is written straight from a teenager’s point of view with characters easy to identify with and relate to.
I would love to see authors improving as they write more books. This is definitely the case here. I loved the first instalment of this series and thought it was very well written.
I was provided a copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest review.
The author’s writing developed and it was an even more exciting read than the first book. This book had a different feel from the first one. This was more serious and more action packed.
Connor is living in the woods with his mother, brother, and a few other wolves. He had to run away and escape because he will be killed if he doesn't leave. Connor returns and his return isn’t exactly a peaceful one; he brings danger with him. He was being chased by other wolves and he goes to Ellie’s house since it’s the only place he knows is safe for him. I am so glad that there were romantic developments. I’ve been waiting for Connor and Ellie to kiss for a long time now! There is a new character named Bella and extreme trials. I cannot elaborate any further because I don’t want to spoil anything. Just expect a sad ending. Why did it have to end like that? I have to say it again, the illustrations in this book are so beautiful! Just like the first one. I find myself staring at them and wishing I could draw like that.
A teenage werewolf series with a difference & I loved it.
This is the second book I have read from this author and it held my attention all the way through. I would definitely recommend it to any teenager to the young at heart. It is written straight from a teenager’s point of view with characters easy to identify with and relate to.
I love to see authors improving as they write more books. This is definitely the case here. I loved the first instalment of this series and was pleased to see that this continuation was better written, edited and formatted.
