I waged war for our freedom. Risked everything to protect those I loved. Yet love's embrace turned ravenous, consuming me whole.
Imprisoned for an agonising two years, I was a pawn in my father's twisted game. He made me a weapon to be wielded against those I held dear. Now, I'm free.
But freedom has only hurled me from one hell into another.
Ivan and the tyrant Fae King are shattering the fragile harmony between Fae and monsters. Ancient abominations are crawling back into existence, painting the world crimson with blood and despair.
All eyes are on me, the reluctant queen, to fix it all.
But I'm fighting my own monsters. My two Bonded Mates betrayed me, broke my heart and abandoned me to a fate worse than death.
How can I fix anything when they've left me so broken?
The allure of vengeance pulls me closer, threatening to consume my soul. But as secrets are revealed and the truth becomes clear, boundaries blur between virtue and vice, righteousness and sin, and hero and villain.
For freedom, I must trust those who were once my enemy and forgive the unforgivable.
It dawns on me, with chilling clarity, that I may not be the hero of this story after all.
Wrath of the Fae is book three and the final instalment in "The Stolen Fae series". It's a dark fantasy romance full of magic, danger, passion, and pain.
Please Note: This is a reverse harem book containing explicit content and darker elements, including mature language, violence, torture, and SA. It is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age.
MJ Lawrie has always had a love for storytelling. Formerly a film student, she started writing her debut series, The Last Witch, shortly after the birth of her first baby. Driven mad by the boredom of nap times and avoiding housework at all costs, she decided to finally get to work on her lifelong dream of writing a book. A true lover of fantasy, dark romance and thriller fiction, she's combined the three and poured her unusual imagination into the creation of characters that you love to hate and hate to love.
The first 3/4ths of this was much better than the last book. It reminded me why I enjoyed the first book so much. Then I got bored. I'll think about it and come back. I don't have much to say beyond I like the growth of Tessa's character and Raven stopped being as annoying. Everyone else could get fucked. And they do, in various ways.
CW: SA. LOTS of it. I'd like to warn anyone that SA is super common in this series. So many different kinds of rape, all the rape, all the time. Just in case that is something you struggle with. It's a common feature and almost every character is assaulted at some point. All of the main female characters are raped or rape someone at some point. There's no character growth dealing with the topic for any of them either so it feels super gratuitous. I've read many books where the topic is approached really well and this just isn't one of them. There's really no working through trauma beyond being angry or sad and wanting revenge. I feel like if you're going to feature rape so heavily with so many different characters then how it affects people differently should also be explored. It seems pointless and overdone in hindsight.
I was lucky enough to get an Arc for this book and I’m so glad I did!
I couldn’t put it down at all, I loved it from start to finish, it is just as good as books 1&2 and OMG it had me in a chokehold all the way through!! Im so happy that Raven, along with her mates got their HEA, because after all they have been through and survived they definitely deserved one!
One of the most enjoyable parts when I was reading this book, was how much I loved Ravens and Tessa’s friendship, and that’s saying something cos I honestly wanted Tessa to meet an untimely end when I first met her character, in book 1, i couldn’t stand her at all!! Now she’s definitely one of my favourites! 😊
Spoilers * * * * * * * * * * *
Please do not read after here if you don’t want any major spoilers….
* * * * * * * *
some may not agree with me and that’s cool but it’s my opinion and we are all entitled to what we think….
Omg leviathan, that was one twist I didn’t see coming at all and was definitely a major game changer!!!
Cyrus & Reid!! I was so angry at them at the end of book 2 and the start of this one, I couldn’t understand why they would be working with the king, I couldn’t understand that if they had a plan why they had abandoned Lucca and Tessa, it just didn’t make any sense to me but honestly I should of know something else was happening behind the scenes cos they would never willing abandon the people they class has family
Oh my heart broke hard for Lucca, I definitely cried for him, with how broken and angry he had become, how he thought he was doing right by the ones he loved, only to end up hurting them, it hurts my heart how he didn’t get his HEA cos he had been through so much in his life….. abused as a kid, abandoned and rejected by his mate…. all he wanted was someone to see him and his worth, to love and be loved by someone in return, he was so willing to watch the world burn for the one he loved, even if it meant betraying them, he just wanted her safe! And I can’t fault him for that…
Rhea…. I’m mad at her, at how she did what she did to Cyrus and how she justified it.. EL & Rhea I’m not sure how I feel about them at the moment, but as of right now I’m mad with them, pretty sure that’s down to the soft spot for Lucca that I have, am just having hard time accepting them and that they get an HEA cos of the heartbreak they caused him..
Tessa OMG…. How have I grown to love her character!!! She has definitely had one major character arc! I love how her and Ravens relationship has grown into something special! How they are now truly family, I’m so happy to see that she finally finds someone who loves her and makes her happy, and that she gets her HEA..
Wolf, I enjoyed meeting him and how he was with Raven, he was definitely the father figure that Raven needed..
This book was amazing and I really enjoyed it, even with all the heart brake and how it crushed my soul I’m so glad I got the chance to read this book…
one very happy but emotionally drained ARC reader

Thank you thank you thank you! I ate this book up sooo quickly! This was my favourite out of all 3. Story line was amazing, writting was much better, the love story between the 3 is amazing! Sooo many unexpected moments, plot twist that had me turning pages after pages the final battle *chef kisses 5 times* . I’m sad it’s over!
Queen of monsters and queen of fae by the end my heart is whole!
Tessa’s change of character in this book is amazing 👌
Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ /5 a lot more spice in this book Banter amongst the whole crew ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Overall story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you to MJLawrie for letting me be a part of your alpha team again ❤️
🌟SPOILER FREE REVIEW🌟
The best finale to a series I've read in a long time! It was perfection! It was such a fun wild ride! Once again MJ's setting unrealistic expectations for partners 👀 iykyk. I found myself rooting for characters I hated, and hated characters I loved. Constantly on the edge of my seat waiting for my theories to be proved right, only to be completely blown away by the twists I DID NOT predict at all!
🥵🌶And then the spice🌶🥵 5🌟👌
There's not much more I can say without giving spoilers... 👀
I’ve spent the last week in the stolen Fae world and my god has it been a traumatisingly fantastic journey. The way M J Lawrie writes her stories are something of perfection. Action packed full of drama and emotion.
I can’t say too much about the story as even the slightest comment could give something away but the connection you feel with the characters, the anger and the major trust issues are very real.
This is PNR gold and with each book I read by this author I fall even harder for her words
I clearly have no commitment issues, seeing as I read this whole trilogy without liking a single book, character, plot device, or sprinkle of prose. This series reads like AI catalogued 3,000 AO3 fics before deciding to write its own in a crack fueled haze of bad tropes.
Look I like my noncon as much as the next person but it just got boring in the end, the sheer volume of it is bizarre. I'm concerned for the Author's mental wellbeing, like are you okay hun? :-( This book should come with a list of SA trigger warnings the length of my arm.
So first things first. Thank you so much MJ for giving me the chance to read this early. It truly was an honour to ARC read for you ☺️
WARNINGS!! Do not read this if you trigger easily. If this is the case this is not the book for you. It's dark and depraved and does not hold back. It's emotional so make sure you have tissues...and chocolate!
NON SPOILERS Like all MJ's books this does not disappoint From the first page Wrath of the Fae is fast paced and keeps you gripped with every sentence, wanting to find out what comes next. It's difficult to put down. There are so many twists and turns but Mj ties up every single story line leaving no room for questions by the end. Everything is explained by the end of the book.
SPOILERS . .. ... .... Well what can I say?
Lucca 😭 That broke me. I wanted so much more for him. He was with Raven from the beginning of coming into her powers and always had her back even when those closer to her didn't. Even when her own mates second guessed her, he never did. He was such a happy, loving and loyal soul. He deserves happiness and it killed me that he didn't get that. Sorry MJ, I'm so mad about this one 😭
Tessa. I absolutely loved how Tessa's character developed in this book. We've only seen the spiteful and vindictive side to Tessa so it was refreshing to see a more vulnerable side to her and to see her and Raven become the caring Aunt and Niece they were supposed to be.
Rhae I can't express how damn disappointed I was with her. Her situation was horrible but she made such a terrible choice and my heart broke so much for Raven. Of all the people who, even in death, shouldn't have betrayed her.
Cyrus and Reed I can't say I was disappointed with them. The story opened and I was truly furious with them but as the story plays out and we see the truth we come to understand them a little more. The dedication they show to Raven and how quickly they are to strike anyone down who looks at her wrong and to lay down their own lives for the woman they love. Can I get a Cyrus and Reed? 😏
Thank you for giving us the wonderful, terrifying and down right tragic world of the faes!

Firstly Thankyou so much M J for allowing me to be an ARC reader for you, I’m so, so grateful 🥰
Omg, what an amazing book!!! M J Lawrie never fails to deliver, from the first page I couldn’t put it down, it’s fast paced with so many twists and turns in every chapter. I’ve gone through every emotion reading this…. But it wouldn’t be a proper M J book without a whole lot of emotional damage 🤣 * * * * **SPOILERS** * * * * Lucca, my boy 😢 oh my heart breaks, the friendship between him and Raven was beautiful, the banter was hilarious, he made some stupid decisions but I really wanted him to get a happy ending, he needed someone to love him so much
Wolf, I fell in love with his character straight away, he was so funny, the love he had for his hammer had me laughing out loud, he was so loyal and supportive to Raven, the father figure she so desperately needed….. I literally cried when he died, I AM NOT OK 😢
Tessa, her character development in this book was so good, I’m glad we got to see her vulnerable side, and the banter between her and Raven was brilliant, she deserved her happy ending ❤️
And Raven, my girl really came into her own, accepting her darkness, her new role, with Cyrus and Reid finally by her side, these boys really showed in this book the lengths they would go to and what they would do for her ❤️
I’m sad it’s over but this is a series I will read again and again. Thankyou M J Lawrie for an amazing trilogy 🥰❤️
4.25 ⭐️ I’m feeling so many things after reading this.
* * * * * * * Spoilers * * * * * * * I absolutely loved Rhea throughout the series until we found out what she did to Cyrus.
My heart breaks for Luca. I’m so sad he didn’t get his HEA. He was probably one of my favourite characters in the whole series, and to see him lose bits of himself by being a rejected mate was so upsetting. I loved his and Ravens friendship more than anyone else’s in the series. And although we nearly had a Rhea/Cyrus situation I’m glad we didn’t.
For the first two books I prayed for Tessa’s downfall. But I’m pleasantly surprised by her in book 3. I enjoyed hers and Ravens friendship and I’m glad it wasn’t just a “all is forgiven and let’s be best friends now” vibe. I liked how Tessa still had her moments or sadness and jealousy and how Raven was considerate about the subject around her. It made it more real.
Wolf was the father figure Raven deserved and I’m glad they had their time together. I was hoping he got a HEA and although he died he did it doing something he was very passionate about.
I loved El at the start but she lost me a little at the end especially since she was apart of the Cyrus situation.
I’m glad her mates didn’t betray her. I’m glad there was more to the story. I’m glad Ezra and Jonas and her sperm donor FINALLY got what they deserved!

OK SO FIRSTLY. Thank you so much MJ for allowing me to be part of your Alpha team again. It truly is a pleasure and I'm so grateful ❤
Onto the review, which will be split into two parts!

Non-spoilery things:
Amazing. Wonderful. Phenomenal. Couldn't put it down!
Raven is back with a vengeance, literally. Fighting her inner demons. Fighting for her people and against those who'll destroy her, and sometimes we're not sure where those lines cross!
As in true MJ style, this book is fast paced and violent. Twisty and turny and heart-wrenching right when you least expect!
Oh... and it is spiiicyyy in some very sinful ways!
The bad guys are very, very bad; the good guys are definitely amongst the darker shades of grey, andddd I don't think there's a stable one among them — but that's just how we like it!
Absolutely amazing end to the series!!!
***** ******* ********* SPOILERY THINGS BELOW. ********* READ ON AT YOUR OWN PERIL. ********* I MEAN IT THOUGH. DON'T READ THE NEXT BIT IF YOU WANNA GO IN TOTALLY BLIND! ********* ******* *****
Alright but, talk about bringing yo girl back from the edge though yano?! (IYKYK) 👀
LUCCA!!!!! oh baby you were just an entire bag of broken toys in this book. Missing parts, used, discarded, and ultimately ending up hurting the people around you with your jagged edges.
Wolf 🥺 the daddy Raven deserved.
Cyrus and Reid really upping their game, owning their shit, and laying it bare. Not to mention giving Raven whole pieces of themselves like never before.
THE LEVIATHAN!!!!!!!! enough said.
Raven becoming the cool aunt. Tessa being the banter Queen. Honestly my favourite relationship progression I think!
Rhea 💔 she broke my heart in this book. She made a very shitty choice but I'm really glad that by the end, Raven, if not exactly forgiving it, at least accepting it, as a shit choice amongst a lot of very shit choices she could have made. Certainly none of them were innocent when all things were said and done.
Overall loved the progression of the characters in this series. Raven especially, embracing her darkness, really coming to Reid and Cyrus' level. They're very well matched, the three of them!
"The Fae girl is gone. The Queen of monsters has arisen. And she is starving for vengeance."
It makes a good book when i feel what the characters feel. And this series, this book gives me all the feels!!❤️
I love the banter, the love, the hurt and the smut ❤️😏
There is happening a lot, almost to much?! It makes it move fast, there is always something happening, i like that. Poor Raven, she loses so much and i felt it all.
‘I am the Leviathan of Midnight’s End. I am the queen of Monsters.’ I narrow my eyes on him. ‘I am your end.’
She makes up for it though😏🔥
‘Together,’ Reid smiles. ‘Or not at all,’ Cyrus adds.❤️❤️

How Raven continues on in the face of all the betrayal and hurt I will never know...she is a goddess 💕...Reid and Cyrus prove their love and loyalty and their light and darkness is everything Raven needs 🪽...Wolf 😭...Lucca 😭😭😭 I did not want that ending for him, he deserved a HEA (even if he was a bit naughty) he will always have a little place in my heart 😈...Tessa fully redeemed herself 🥰...Everyone else can fuck off though, they were all sneaky bastards...This series was so unexpectedly good I could not tear myself away from it 💕
4.5 I mean there wasn’t one known plot that these books didn’t include lol. With all that plot came some decent holes but honestly I was thoroughly entertained so can’t be too mad!!
Interesting having the England piece playing with some of the words/phrases.
I really liked the characters especially Raven and Cyrus but they didn’t get much development with all the chaos of plots and setting changes.
Would probably recommend to those who like pretty dark (main trigger: lots of SA) fantasy with a romance piece.
If I could give this book 6 stars I would! What an epic adventure, I loved every second of it! I was so curious to see how M.J. Lawrie would tie up the ending of this series and she did not disappoint! Definitely one of my favorite reads so far this year, the series reminds me a lot of ACOTAR and would highly recommend giving it a read! Will definitely be rereading this series again in the future!
A fantastic conclusion to an incredible series! The character development in this book was outstanding, & the unexpected twists kept me on edge the entire time. The final battle completely wrecked me—my heart still aches just thinking about it. Like the previous books, this one doesn’t hold back on dark themes, so definitely check the content warnings. An unforgettable series, & I can’t wait to read more from M.J. Lawrie!
I loved this series, maybe actually more than the crimson covenant duology by the same author. Both have similar vibes in terms of lots of trauma and extremely bad luck for the MFC. I am devastated about Lucca. Like actually devastated! (He did have a few idiot moments but overall he was such a great character ) I do love how this ended that she finally got peace and a life, not necessarily the life she thought she would get but it seems perfect enough for her!

Wow what a book and what a series. Talk about ALL THE EMOTIONS. This series is a must to read. After the cliff hanger of book 2 I couldn’t wait to dive into book 3 and it didn’t disappoint. Just when you think you know where this story and characters are taking you the rug gets ripped from underneath you. Love it. Thank you for the ARC copy.
M.J Lawrie is a God when it comes to Dark Fantasy Romance! This book had my emotions in every direction, even had me screaming at the end of Fall of the Fae which I’m sure I’m not the only one! 😏 let me just say this is one spicy series 🌶 🌶 🌶
I’ve also read Verity and The last witch which are also AMAZING! The stolen fae series is absolutely my all time favorite.
It’s been a long while since I’ve read a series that held me hostage like this whole series did. Wrath of the Fae had me on the edge at ALL times. I felt antsy, I didn’t know what was going to happen or how. This book was so freakin’ good, MJ Lawrie really does write with some sort of magic and she has me hooked fully with her words. I loved the character development in Wrath of the Fae, the twists and turns, the world building that is laid out before us. I’m also a little sad that the series has come to an end. But I look forward to what MJ Lawrie brings us next.
Did I read all three books? Yes. Would I recommend you waste your precious life? Absolutely not. Raven Rivers is the most painfully inept antihero I have ever come across in literature in my whole life.
Reid and Cyrus are megalomaniacs.
The author couldn’t even make Lucca normal.
This whole series was a complete disaster from start to finish.
This is the third and final book in the series. It follows Raven on her dark and thrilling journey to save the fae and human kind, along with Raven finally finding who she really is and who she was destined to be.
There are twists and turns that I did not expect and was refreshing not to be listening to something that was predictable. The storyline in this book was a little slow, to begin with but quickly picked up pace.
I really loved the MMCs and the way they cared for Raven. I loved how they were so possessive over her and wanted to keep her grounded and not let her forget who she really is to them or to herself.
Raven is a strong-headed character, fierce, and just a bad ass women. Sometimes I found she could come across a little too strong and very angrya lott of the time. I totally understand as she has been through so much trauma and pain but it would have been nice just to see her sensitive side a bit more. I am not sure if this was how Raven was supposed to be read or if the narrator chose to make her this way.
I have to say my favoritee character was Tessa! I really warmed to her in this book and loved how she was there for Raven even after the trauma she endured.
The plot was good and flowed nicely, sometimes it got a little slow but picked up quickly and didn't drag on. The twist were a refreshing turn and I enjoyed being kept on my toes of not knowing what was going to happen and I had a fair few shocked face moment.
The narrator did an amazing job of telling the story. I love how she is able to differentiate between the characters so we are able to tell them apart. she read the story at an easy pace that flowed nicely. Amy gave each character life and made you feel so many different emotions towards each one.
This book is deliciously dark and full of trauma and triggers so please read the trigger page before heading in!
My overall star rating is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars) spice level I rate it a 🌶🌶1/2 (2 1/2)
So first of, thank you MJ for giving me the honour of reading this in advance!
This book, just wow. I am ashamed at how long it has taken me to review this, but I have been struggling to figure out the right words.
So spoiler free version…
I sped through this book, crying, laughing, blushing. IT WAS SO GOOD.
This was such a good conclusion to the trilogy, everything rounded up so beautifully. Ravens character growth throughout this whole book was stunning, and I loved how her, Cyrus and Reid’s relationship progressed as well. Cyrus and Reid also grew so so much and became such good partners to Raven. They showed how willing they were to make Raven happy and safe. They’re a really good team. I loved reading this book, even if I was slightly traumatized by the end of it. But is it a good book if you’re not slightly traumatized 😜
MJ did such an amazing job writing these characters and building an amazing world that I had so much fun getting immersed in it. I’m going to miss the characters so much:)
Now.
Slight Spoilers…
LUCCA😭😭 my poor baby, he went through so much and hurt people around him because of how much he was hurting. I felt for him so much his and Ravens friendship will always be close to my heart, even after what he put her through.
Wolf was such a father figure and everything Raven deserved as a parent.
Rhea, my poor girl, I loved seeing her grow and learn from her mistakes.
Tessa and Raven becoming the ultimate aunt niece duo was EVERYTHING to me🫶🏻🫶🏻
MJ is so so good at writing such realistic, flawed but lovable characters. I love how everyone grew throughout this series and how well everything closed out.
She will be hearing from my therapist about certain scenes (iykyk👀👀)
ALSO THE SPICE 🥵🥵 so well executed so spicy 🌶️ and that one scene 👀👀
Like others, I enjoyed the first half of this book and was reminded of why I liked the first in the series so much. So where did it all go wrong?
Firstly, the handling of the antagonists was frustratingly repetitive. They are captured or defeated, but kept alive for a drawn-out, vengeful demise, which inevitably allows them to escape to wreak havoc again. This happened so often that it became exasperatingly predictable.
Secondly, the believability of the plot took a sharp nosedive. The constant twists and betrayals quickly lost their impact and started to feel absurd—particularly with Lucca’s character arc. Consistency holes began to appear, and I found myself questioning the plausibility of each new development rather than being immersed in the story.
Thirdly, the repetitiveness was overwhelming. Eye losses were a constant theme, but the continuity was confusing; did Reid and Cyrus miraculously regrow their eyes at the end, or did I miss something?
Lastly, the final battle scenes, especially involving Ivan, were a chaotic mess. The narrative became impossible to follow: Raven is incapacitated one moment and fiercely fighting the next, her physical state conveniently forgotten. She “deeply” slits her throat in a dramatic act but still manages to deliver a few last words. After disappearing for months and being presumed dead, she resurfaces just to tell her sister to continue thinking of her as dead. By the end, the story’s credibility was completely lost, and I was left waiting impatiently for it all to wrap up.
