When her vindictive cousin, who also happens to be the town mayor, tries to use her political clout to literally bulldoze Megan McCloud's Books & Bakery, old flame Ean Fever, now a big-city lawyer, comes to Megan's rescue. (romance).

This is a terrific small-town romance. The hero, Ean, has come home and finds that nothing is quite as he remembered it to be, including the girl next door. He used to date Megan's cousin, Ramona, and his return generates friction between the two woman.
This is a wonderful story about moving on without losing your roots. Ean left his job as an attorney in New York because he thought his mother needed him. Instead, he finds what he didn't even realize he needed, true love. This series is called Finding Home, and Ean does, just not in the way he expected.
There's an excellent supporting cast, and Ean's friends are going to make terrific heroes.
I am a big fan of Ms. Hart's Brooklyn Monarchs series. I received a copy of Trinity Falls as a gift from the author, with no request or suggestion that I review it.
I have had the first three books of the Finding Home series on my wishlist in my account at OverDrive and decided to go for the first one over the weekend. I am so glad I did - this small town contemporary romance brings something fresh to the sub-subgenre, most notably a more diverse town population.
This is the story of Ean, a man who was ready to move back to his hometown and put down roots after achieving his goals in NYC and Megan, a business owner and hometown girl. This is also the story of Quincy, BFF of Ean and a professor of history at the local university and Ramona, the mayor of Trinity Falls and Megan's cousin/Ean's ex-girlfriend. This is also the story of Doreen, mom of Ean and newly widowed and Coach Leo, also a widower and Ean's former football coach. Finally, this is also about the relationship between Ramona and Meghan.
I actually liked that the book had three relationships to follow, each distinct enough to keep them straight in the reader's head. The main relationship, Ean and Meghan, was hot and emotional, with Meghan growing a lot both on her own and with Ean. My favorite relationship though was Quincy and Ramona - what a wonderful gut punch! Ramona had a lot of working on herself to do, but Quincy had her back every step of the way - and that NYE kiss in her office was a big payoff after watching their relationship wind its way. Doreen and Leo were sweet, and their relationship's conflict came across as very true especially as widow/widower and older characters.
The big baddie was the economic conditions of small towns, which I loved. Meghan, Ean, Doreen, and Ramona all love their hometown, but each had different ideas on how to save it without gentrification taking over. Very timely concern and I always enjoy the villain being something the characters have to work together to overcome rather than catching the bad guy in the act.
I was excited to discover that this book's main characters are people of color since my reading life could use a bit more diversity. I listened to this title for the Audible Romance category challenge because it was listed under sports. However, there really wasn't any sports in the book. The main character was a former high school football star who decides to move back to his hometown. He discovers that his mother is dating his former coach. Those were the only references to sports.
I did enjoy the small town setting and story line. However, I was disappointed in the graphic nature of the sex scenes which went on too long and with too much detail for my taste. Unfortunately this particular title did not have a rating on the steaminess scale like many of Audible's titles. I must admit that I did originally judge this book by it's beautiful cover, which would not lead one to believe that the book was especially steamy.
This was another great love story by Regina Hart. The chemistry between Megan and Ean was explosive from the start. At first, I could not stand Ramona but she started to grow on me in the end and I was rooting for her happily ever after too. I can't wait to read more about the wonderful people in the small own of Trinity Falls.
The family bond between Ean Darius and Q was special. It was funny watch Ean see the need for a change in his life to deal with his grief yet not understand his mother's need for same. Megan's fear of anyone she loved leaving made me cry.
Ean Fever (lawyer) is burned out by the hectic pace of New York City and his cutthroat law career. Longing for a sense of community, he's returned to his hometown of Trinity Falls, Ohio. Maybe he can even help save the Town Center from greedy developers looking to destroy its small businesses--like (Books & Bakery), owned by Megan McCloud. Megan was once an awkward girl next door with a massive crush, but Ean discovers she's grown into a strong-willed, beautiful woman...Megan isn't the only strong-willed McCloud. Her cousin, Ramona, is the town mayor. And as usual, Ramona is trying to take away what Megan wants most. As teenagers, that meant Ean, who she left town with but returned months later without explanation. Now Ramona wants to take away her business. But Megan has learned how to fight. And she soon realizes that Ean is ready to fight with her--and for her. Because when Ean finds himself falling for the woman who's adored him all along, he'll have to convince her that he's not leaving again.
In a small town relationships last through the years but things can get twisted. Everyone needs a Ms Helen to keep people straight. This book introduces the town of Trinity Falls and some of its residents, with all their faults, problems and also the good they do and the good things that can happen. Very engaging story and I look forward to getting to know more of the characters.
I found this book at the library and thought it looked interesting. Great opening book to the series. Trinity Falls is the quintessential small town community oozing with charm, and plenty of residents with interesting stories to be revealed. I enjoyed getting to know the locals of Trinity Falls and I am eager to read the remaining books in the series.
Megan was annoying as hell and i thought her cousin was the problem. I'm glad she figured out at Ian loved her and opted to stay in Trinity Falls because he had a reason to.
Megan and Ean’s love-story was sweet and beautiful. Now I’ve got to find out what happens to Darius, Quincy, Ramona and the rest! Perfect weekend read!
This was a great small town story that has a lot of spunk and grit. The characters are friendly, sassy, and know what they want and not afraid to get it. Enjoy
Trinity Falls - Won on Goodreads. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it would not have been my first choice at first glance but proved to a good read. I am now happy that I entered to win this, even if at first it was just on a whim. The characters are believable, the feelings are much more realistic than other romances that I have come across (ie: characters do not have sudden bouts of anger just to make the story interesting) and there is an actual story line. Trinity Falls, as a small town/close-knit community, is written about in such a manner that you feel like you belong and would have a place in the town. Characters such a Megan and Ean seem like people you would have either gone to high school with or have known through events in town. Megan has always lived in Trinity Falls and now operates her grandparents book store. She has experienced loss many times in her life and has always been pressured by her older cousin Ramona. Megan, having had a crush on Ramona's boyfriend in grade school, is shocked to hear that the man himself (Ean) is coming back to T.F and is going to stay. Ramona and Ean have long since broken up, but that doesn't stop Ramona from attempting to take him back. Ean, fourteen years earlier left T.F to achieve his life long goal of becoming a lawyer and making it big in a city, has realized with the loss of his father that he has lost valuable time with family and friends over the last few years and wants to make up for that. He quits his job and moves back home, for now with his mother until he finds a job nearby. Well it is a romance book - so obviously Megan and Ean meet (again) and end up interested in each other. A good, quick read - would recommend it.
Ean Fever is a burned out lawyer from New York City. After the passing of his father, he quits his job and returns home to stay. Everyone believes he is only in town for a short time since he was so eager to leave after high school. Upon his return, he learns that the Town Center will be sold to developers who will put the small, long time standing shops out of business. One of the shops is owned by Megan McCloud, the cousin of his ex-girlfriend Ramona. Megan has changed from the shy young girl she was to the strong and confident woman she is now. Ramona is now the town mayor. She is trying to take the business away from Megan and is trying to get high end shops put into the Town Center. Can Ean and Megan save the Town Center and will Megan's old crush, Ean, finally become a promising prospective?
This is such a sweet book. Megan is a very strong-willed woman, who after the death of her grandparents, had learned to only rely on herself. She took her and Ramona's bookstore, that was passed on from their grandparents, and and made it into a successful bookstore and bakery. Ean is a complex character. He comes home but nobody really knows why. He is fighting an inner battle with not being there for his father when he passed away, while harboring some resentment that he was never told about the cancer in the first place. Megan deals with security and abandonment issues since everyone she has care about has left her or passed away. I really enjoyed this story and the characters.
I received a copy of this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.
I really enjoyed Trinity Falls by Regina Hart. The was the first time I have read any of her books. A story about Ean Fever, who is burnt out over his career in New York as a lawyer. He decides to return to his hometown of Trinity Falls to help his mother and reunite with old friends. He is undecided on his next step in his career. As he is rediscovering Trinity Falls. He notices changes in his mother. Meets a childhood friend, Megan who has turned out to be an intriguing woman. I recommend this book. It is a great read that will keep you wanting to know what will happen next to the people in Trinity Falls, Oh. Enjoy!!!
Unfortunately I didn't love this story. It doesn't have much excitement and some of the secondary characters are really unlikeable. I just never got into the story and I must say I skipped over several pages.
Characters: D+ I just couldn't find the characters interesting.
Plot: c The story was believable and I enjoyed the small town setting. I didn't care for the interactions at the end and ended the book with a frown on my face.
Sexiness: c- Nothing special. Not overly graphic, which I prefer.
This book by Regina Hart was captivating. The story between Megan and Ean made your heart flutter. A girl who had a crush on him for fourteen years and then he moves away suffers the pain of losing his father and then discovers that he needs to return to the town that he left. In the meantime he falls in love with the girl that had a crush on him as a teenager but has to defuse a situation with his ex who is the girl's cousin. I loved the storyline and how it ends. Great read!
Received advance copy free but not required to review. I loved Ean and Megan's relationship even if it did take Megan a little too long to trust. The interaction of all characters kept you reading and I can't wait to read 'Harmony Cabins' when it comes out. Characters grew not only in relationship with others but in understanding themselves.
Fear of what's been lost or what one may loose give Trinity Falls the perfect back drop for all characters Ean, Megan, Roman, Dorrian, and Coach for each one fear is real. I enjoyed mu visit to the quaint town of Trinity Falls, Ohio where the disagreed with each other, but at the same time look out for each other. A touching story of small town living.
I'm trying to read more relationship fiction and Trinity Falls popped up on my radar. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get into the story. I was really distracted by the descriptions throughout the first two chapters. There was a lot of brand names thrown around and I didn't understand how that added to the story. 03/12/2021
Excellent book with a strong plot and well-developed characters. Even the minor characters are well-developed and add to the effortless flow of the story. I couldn't stop reading until I was finished and ready for book 2! Kudos to Regina Hart.
Trinity Falls was a very good small town romance. I really enjoyed this book . I thank the author for putting the brownie recipe I wanted a bite every time it was served. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
