"The only thing about loving hard is falling hard when you lose it."
I always look forward to anything by L.P. Dover, but this was the book I had been waiting for! It was absolutely amazing! I was hooked from the first page and I couldn't put it down until I had finished it! Kind of like I am with all her other books too be honest lol! I was really excited when I received my ARC of this book because I had been anticipating its release and also the cover is majorly hot! The plot of Meant for Me was dangerous, intense and romantic all at the same time! It was about love, but it was also about the dangers of it and how people can use the love you have for someone against you! The plot went at the perfect pace to keep me hooked and desperate to read on to find out what was going to happen next! I loved its development and I loved the twist and turns as well! The twist and turns kept the plot interesting as I didn't know where it was going to go next! The sex scenes in this book were beyond hot! I knew there were going to be, but I didn't think they were going to be that hot! I swooned a good five or six times lol! The characters were amazing! Claire was the main female character and she was so sweet and genuine! I loved how far she was willing to go to make sure that her love interest was safe, even if it meant putting herself in the firing line! I thought that was very brave! She was also just a normal person that had been pulled into a situation that was a lot bigger than she thought! I connected really well with Claire because she was so normal and so nice! She had a bit of a naughty side to her as well, which came out when she was with her love interest! Mason was the main male character and he was oh, so hot! I loved how protective he was of Claire and I could tell that he really, really loved her! Mason was quite a complex character and this made me love him even more! I loved his protective and loving nature as they made him who he was and he was just deliciously hot! I loved that this book was written from both Claire and Mason's point of views, as it made the story more interesting and also getting to read the danger from both of their point of views made it more intense! I loved that characters from other books in this series were back in this book! Melissa and Brett from Trusting You, the second book in this series, made appearances in this book, which made me super happy because they I adored their book and I wasn't expecting them to appear in this book! I'm not sure if there's going to be another book in this series or another book/novella for Claire and Mason, but I think the ending was sufficient as it summed up the story and also Claire and Mason's relationship! The cover of this book is absolutely stunning! It's so hot and I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! It definitely suits the book as well! Big thank you to L.P. Ok so it seems I am in the minority here, but it happens right? Well first and foremost I will tell you what I love and that is the cover (major cover love), I also loved the steaminess and the suspense factor. The ending was great as well.
Mason and Claire are great, likeable characters. I enjoyed their story but I couldn't connect to them and I found myself putting the book down more often than not. The suspense was enough to bring me back though and therefore I finished it. Does this mean I didn't like it at all? No, absolutely not, I enjoyed what I mentioned above and Mason was yummy while Claire was a very strong woman.
The prologue was great too and it starts with Claire taking Mason to the airport. He is leaving to go home to North Carolina where he works as a detective. Claire is not happy with the way that things are ending between them and Mason will soon realize he feels the same way. Claire currently lives in California where she helps Mason's cousin, Melissa, manage vineyards.
A few months pass by and Mason has learned of his good friend's death as well as some other MMA fighter's deaths. You see, Mason used to be an MMA fighter so when he learns of this terrible news he decides to take the necessary steps to go undercover and get back in the ring to solve his friend's and the other murders. It also means he needs to tell Claire how he really feels before something terrible happens to him. He then heads back to California with the intent to see her and tell her but when another man is in the picture the only thing left for him to do is leave her the letter he wrote.
When Claire realizes what she wants she decides to find Mason and tell him. After she surprises him and ends up where he is she also helps him with his case while he is undercover. The thing is, it just may turn into much more than they both bargained for. Will they find the people responsible for the fighter's deaths and will they both come out alive?
If you like MMA fighter books with a steamy romance factor and suspense to boot you will definitely enjoy this book. I do recommend it! I will be reading Ms. Dover’s other books as well. Sometimes we just come across a story where we can't connect in some way or another. It is not a terrible thing it just happens. This one just didn't grab at me 100%.

So, first of all Meant for Me wasn't a typical "second chance" read for me. I prefer a lot more grovelling, waiting and patience for my hero. In my opinion Claire forgave Mason way to fast. I mean, it only took one (!) letter from him and she decided to dump her super hot boyfriend.
-- did I mention he was a football player ? --
-- Yeah, you wrote one (!) letter. Way to go, Mason! --
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this book. It was steamy, romantic and full of suspense!
MASON & CLAIRE were very likeable characters. And their sexual chemistry was off the charts!
I would recommend this book and will definitely continue with this series.

Mason and Claire’s story begins with a farewell. Although he loves her, a long-distance relationship is not feasible, she lives in California and he in North Carolina, also his police job requires many hours and he sees no way that their relationship can work, so he leaves Claire so that she can find a man that deserves her.
A month later Claire resume her relationship with Cooper, a former love and everything seems to be going well until a few months later Mason returns to her life ready to get her back.
Mason has accepted a covert mission to find out who is killing fighters, including his mentor and friend Austin. He will have to travel to Las Vegas and go back to the ring, but before leaving he wants to make it clear to Claire that when everything is over, he will come back for her.
Claire decides that she is not going to wait so she gets on the same plane as Mason ready to help him. Claire lived her youth in Las Vegas and knows people within the circle of the night and the fight which will help Mason in his investigation.
We’ll see a young Tyler before he makes a name for himself as a fighter. There is also Matt Reynolds, already a champion who will fight against Mason.
Claire and Mason declare their eternal love before Claire has to return home as things are becoming more and more dangerous, but the bad guys will not let her go as she is the key to making Mason fight for them.
After a long, wild night of sex, love making, whatever you want to call it, it finally came time to wind down. The look in her eyes when she told me she was falling in love with me would forever stay ingrained in my mind. My reaction would haunt me forever as well. Being the asshole that I was, I told her I wasn’t good enough for her, grabbed my pants off the floor, and left the room. I realized my mistake as soon as I shut the door, but it was too late. The damage had been done. Claire cried for what felt like hours, or maybe it was my misery that made it seem longer. Meanwhile, all I did was sit there, leaning up against the door and listening. I wasn’t prepared to hear those words come out of her mouth.
“Other than touching you and seeing your beautiful face every day when I come back to you, do you want to know the main thing I look forward to the most?” he asked, groaning as he slid in and out of my body. Panting, I bit my bottom lip and nodded. “Tell me,” I replied breathlessly. Even though the room was dim with the lights of the city below giving us a semblance of light, I could see the sheen of tears misting in his eyes. “The thing I look forward to the most is coming home to you every day and being able to look into your eyes and tell you that I love you. I’m going to tell you that every single day for the rest of my life.” Tears began to stream down my face, but I chuckled through them. “I look forward to that, too, Mason. I love you so much.”
“Are you ready for the real fun to begin?” he asked, licking a taut nipple. My body trembled and I could already feel myself tightening around his growing cock. “That’s right, baby. I see that you are ready. Going slow was my way of showing you how much I love you and that I will treat that love with tender hands. Nothing better than Romance mixed with some action!
LP Dover does a wonderful job with Meant for Me! She totally ties you up into the storyline and the characters. You want nothing more than to root for the good guys and hope the bad guys don’t triumph in the end. The romance in the story is electrifying. What woman wouldn’t be attracted to a gorgeous cop that has the body of a fighter? From the very beginning of the story (prologue) I was team Mason. I knew it just from reading his POV it was instant love! I thoroughly enjoy when books have different points of views with the main characters especially when it is a female and male involved. Something about getting to know how a man might think or the reasoning’s behind his decisions and actions, even if the Author is a female. Something about Mason and his inner thoughts about life and Claire just made me fall for him. Mason “THE EAGLE” Bradley is my new Book Boyfriend. Mason you have been added to the list (Call Me! LOL!).
Together him and Claire make and awesome team. They have nothing but unconditional love for each other, even though they have a past that didn’t end well, they seem to be able to pick things back up and go forward with ease. I love that Claire is a strong, honest, spontaneous and independent woman. I love that she fights for what she wants and she doesn’t back down easily. I noticed that in the books of LP Dover’s that I have had the pleasure to read she always has strong female characters. Nice to read a story where the woman isn’t always a damsel in distress, but that she can actually hold her own.
I have never read a story quiet like this before and I loved every minute of it. It read like a good movie. Had me on the edge of my seat even though I was just reading it on my kindle. It was as if I was watching it play out instead of reading it, probably why I was seating on the edge of my seat the entire read or at least fidgeting non- stop. The story had great humor, good messages, action, chemistry, drama, and much more. Like a said it read like a good fight movie!
Second chances are few and far between and if you do indeed get a shot at a second chance take it and milk it for all it is worth because you never know if the opportunity will ever come around again. Never give up on what you truly want. And just because you are blood doesn’t necessarily make you family. Sometimes it is the bond, experiences and moments you create and share with others that make you family.
Thanks to LP Dover, I’m actually a bit intrigued with UFC and MMA now. I mean it is still hard for me to watch and will continue to be, but I might give it a better go.

I always look forward to reading any book by L. P. Dover, because I haven't read a book from her that I haven't loved. I was very excited to get my hands on Meant for Me. I have loved Mason in the other books so I was very, very happy that he got his own story. Meant for Me is a fantastic book that had me hooked after the very first page. I had to know what happened next. I loved how the story swapped POVs between Mason and Claire. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Even though it was a little predictable on who the bad guys were, I still kept turning page after page wondering what was going to happen next. The characters in this story were well developed. I love seeing them grow into who they are suppose to be.
Meant for me follows Mason and Claire on an undercover case to find out who is killing the MMA fighters. Mason went from the good guy cop to the bad boy fighter. This story is also about love and what one would do for love.
Mason was completely drool worthy. I loved him as a cop, but when I got to see him as a MMA fighter, he became even sexier. Mason is a very loyal person and that is what I loved about him. He always put others before himself. I also loved how protective he was over Claire, and how I got to see a different side of him when he was around her. He wasn't the type to share his feelings so when he did with Claire, she knew how monumental that was. Seeing Mason's softer side made me love him even more. Claire was a very sincere person. Even though her family had money, she didn't think she was above everyone else. She was a character that I could relate to easily in this book. Claire was always there for Mason. She would even put herself in danger to protect him. They were two peas in a pod. Always trying to protect the other. Tyler was a new character that I also really liked. MEANT FOR ME is an enthralling, intense story that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Mason is a former mixed martial arts fighter who now works as a policeman. He’s thrust back into the fighting world when he finds out his best friend has been murdered. Someone is brutally killing fighters and leaving no clues and Mason desperately wants to find them before they kill someone else. Mason decides to go undercover as a fighter hoping to discover who murdered his best friend, who was trying to make a name for himself in the fighting world. I was chewing my fingernails reading this story, because I was never sure who the bad guys were and constantly worried Mason would be their next target.

I was in a book funk and then received this book for an honest review, I couldn't put it down! I swear each book L.P. writes gets better and better.
I Loved how this is a stand alone book but also part of a series. L.P. brings in the elements and characters from the previous books in just the right places and as your reading you flash back to the other books in the series, but you won't be lost is this is your first read in the series.

Mason, he's a man and well he doesn't like Claire taking manly things away from him, "Mason came up to my side with a scowl on his face. "Did you just pay for our room?" he muttered incredulously." He also doesn't like when secrets are kept from him, but he comes up with lovely ways of punishments, "oh, I'm calm, kitten," he purred seductively. "I'm sure there are plenty of ways you can make up for failing to give me all the information." He backed up, leaving me breathless and alone against the wall." And you do NOT mess with his woman he will go all Hulk on your a**, "get out of the effing way!" When I finally got through and saw what had transpired, I knew one thing and one thing only...someone was going to die." He's a man of his word and he keeps his promises, "I promised to make it up to her in any way she wanted, and of course, her first request was for me to eff her. Those were her exact words. Needless to say, my di** got rock hard the second she said that." I loved this book of course I always love Leslie's books so there's no surprise there, and I'm ready for the next book in the series.

This is by far the best of the series so far! This one was steamy with a mystery to solve. I loved Claire and Mason together. This series is written to be stand-a-lone books, but I would recommend reading them in order. The characters are introduced in the book before and old characters come back in the next ones. For me I always like knowing anything that may have happened in the past! I think I have found another favorite author!

one of L. P. Dover's best books! I loved Mason and Claire's story......Undercover, Vegas, dancing, MMA fights, and a sexual chemistry that is as good as chocolate pastries! Need I say more!!!!

Enjoy it. Good if you are looking for a book with no angst. Only problem is I didn't find it very memorable afterwards. However I would definitely read more from this author.

This was just the fresh story line I was looking for. It was a combination of the classic romance stories we all know, mixed up to give us the wonderful love story of Mason and Claire. We have the second chance romance, the love triangle, the MMA fighter, the undercover mission, and it all takes place in Vegas. Mason was a sexy, slightly angsty, tattooed, fighter. And Claire was his stubborn perfect match. What could possible go wrong?
“I didn’t realize how empty my life had been until you slammed the door on my heart. Right then and there I knew I screwed up whatever chance I had to get you back, but I also knew something else... something I couldn’t deny any longer. You were meant for me and I was meant for you. If it’s a fight you want, it’s a fight you’re going to get. I will win you back.”
I was sucked in to the story right from the start. Mason and Claire had just had their one night of passion. Claire was driving Mason to the airport so he could go back to his job in North Carolina, while Claire stayed in California to manage the vineyard. Claire and Mason met through Claire’s friend/Mason’s cousin, Melissa. We don’t really get to see much of how their relationship formed prior to their one-night stand, which kind of made me sad. We get a few flashbacks throughout the book, but that’s all. Anyway, so Claire told Mason she loved him, and he didn’t say it back and then went back home to NC.
“I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you if you’ll let me. If I have to fight my way into your heart again I will. All I’m asking for is a second chance, to show you that you were meant for me. I love you, Claire, and I will be back for you. I can promise you that.”
Then we fast forward four months. They have both been missing each other. Claire is back in a serious relationship with her former hook-up buddy and hot football star, while still in love with Mason. Mason has thrown himself into work, and all of a sudden he gets a dangerous mission in Vegas. I loved how the story was fast-paced. He goes to tell Claire how he feels, because he might die in this mission, and suddenly we’re in a love triangle situation! Yay! Cooper, the guy who has always been there for her and might be proposing to her soon? Or Mason, the one who broke her heart but still has all her love?
“We’re in this together, Mason, you and I. You’ve been doing things alone, not depending on anyone to be there for you, but that’s not how it works when you want to be with someone. I want to know who you were then so I can see how you became who you are now.”
I was glad that they weren’t apart for long. So, Mason goes on his super dangerous mission. And bam, suddenly Claire is there and she’s determined to help. I’m so glad none of the characters were whiny. They were strong and after they got together they never once doubted their love *happy sigh*. I loved how they knew they were better together, and they figured it out way faster than most book couples do. Then they faced their past and their battles together. It was fantastic.
“The thing I look forward to the most is coming home to you every day and being able to look into your eyes and tell you that I love you. I’m going to tell you that every single day for the rest of my life.”
The aspect I loved most about Meant For Me was that the plot kept me guessing. It wasn’t super intense, but it wasn’t a light read either. Then, I also loved how Mason said the sweetest things and then he would turn around and do the sexiest things. Claire never brought him down, and instead they brought each other up. I couldn’t get enough of them! I really didn’t want the book to end, because they are just the hottest and most adorable couple! This was the first L.P. Dover book I have ever read, but now I’m positive that it isn’t my last.

3.5 Second Chance stars! Oh Mason, Mason, Mason- I would love to smack you for taking so long to look back at what you lost but you made up for it in the end.
L.P. Dover is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. I have read the second book in the Second Chances series about Mason's cousin Melissa and Brett and I loved it so of course when I got to get Mason's story I was super excited. Mason and Clair (Melissa's ex-sister in law) spend a night of passion together over the events of Brett and Melissa's wedding weekend. When its time for Mason to pick up and leave at head back to North Carolina, he tells Claire that nothing can come from their night together and that it was a mistake.
This is all while Claire and Mason has a true and instant connection during their time together and Claire has been dreaming of Mason for years now. Clarie finally decides that Mason is not worth crying over and decides to put her big girl panties on and MOVE ON. She finds herself back with her on and off again friend/boyfriend over the years and happy again. She has moved on..... then BAM- enter Mason. Mason is back in California to take on an undercover assignment in Las Vegas, Nevada and wanted to let his cousin Melissa know of important details should something go wrong, while there Mason is also trying to let Claire know of his true feelings and confess his love and stupidity to her for waiting 4 MONTHS- to let her know how he felt.
But, Claire refuses and in essence tells him, if you mean it then fight for me. Mason can't stay to fight but he does write her a letter and gives to his cousin to deliver since he must get to Las Vegas. While Claire reads the outpouring of Mason's heart in the letter Melissa tells Claire of his undercover work and Clarie knows she must go to him and help him in his quest and plus she can't stand being without him now that she knows his true feelings. Clarie beats Mason to the airport and tells him that she is going to show him around Vegas as this is her old stomping grounds.
Here is where the MMA and the mystery part comes in. Fighters has been turning up dead in places throughout Vegas and no one can find the ties, being that Mason was a former MMA fighter but had to leave due to his mothers cancer, he started and ended before he got a huge following. Mason is back on the scene to appear as he has come back and Claire's ties get him into the clubs that he needs access too. Eventually, Mason finds himself with the true ringleader (no pun intended) of the operation. There is some dangerous elements in the story and some seemed a little slow (like the whole claire dance thing- but it had a story tie in, so it worked). But, overall it was a hot, suspense filled, second chance at love read. Plus, AMAZING EPILOGUE, I love a good epilogue and I definetly got a great one with this story.

Well after reading the blurb and after reading this in the beginning of the book I was like this is going to be emotional book and I was ready for the tissues and crying but that was not I expected and hence the 4 stars.
The story is about Mason and Claire. They both had a night stand and Mason tells her that he can't do relationship and he leaves and Claire heart is broken. After four months he comes back and sees that she is with someone so he decides to win her and Claire thought she will make him work hard to make him win her.
I was excited to see what will Mason do to win her but I was disappointed when he didn't had to do anything. I'll let you read the book to know. Anyways I was like OK I could go on because it has a mystery. You see Mason is a police officer and ex-MMA fighter so now he is undercover to find his friends murderer. When I was told I was going to be getting this as an ARC I was like, I though this was supposed to be a third book in the second chances series? LP of course told me it was and that it was about Mason and Claire...... My brilliant mind went who the hell are they?!? So I started doing searches through the second book to figure out who these two people were, and I was like omg duh! Book two starts to give us a little bit of information on Bradley Mason (Melissa'a cousin) and Claire O'Briane (Melissa's ex-sister-in-law) but not much on a personal level.
In book three we find out the at the wedding of Brent an Melissa, Mason and Claire decide to give into their feelings for the night. Can Mason look past his fears to commit to Claire, or will he break her heart.
This is a really great book, and if you follow my post you know I don't like to give away spoilers to any books. I have read lots of books and for me this was an interesting take on a romance/love story. Mason is a classic bad boy grown up, who has realized true what the real world is like and that it isn't always pretty. Claire is a classic spoiled girl who is used to getting her way and trying to always see the good, unfortunately that all comes crashing down on her when she puts her trust in someone from her past who she is still trying to find the good in.
The love between Mason and Claire was just written beautifully, it is that kind of love that we all hope to find just once in our lives. We watch their was walls and defenses come tumbling down and as the books goes further along we watch it bloom into something amazing by the end.

Meant For Me is one sexy, steamy, thriller suspense ride you won't soon forget! SEXY is not even enough of a description for me to use to describe what I read. I need a a cold shower and the a/c and it's -14 where I live. I was so enthralled with this story that I couldn't nor did I want to put it down. Every fiber of my being was vested in Meant For Me. I read scene after scene wondering if the story could get any better and boy did it ever! The characters were realistic not just like in some stories to good to be true. I loved Claire's fire and passion for things and how once she set her sights on something she didn't let can't stop her it only made her fight harder. Mason now let's see he had to figure out how to pull his head from his
bum or he was never going to get what he wanted no that's not saying that the package was not complete he was smart and sexy he just didn't know how to listen to his heart and trust what he felt. When Claire and Mason came together it was like magic and the whole world stopped in that moment and nothing else mattered or could compare. So when Mason takes up in an undercover mission Fighting in the MMA fighting circle he and Claire are faced with some hard and irreversible consequences that could change their lives forever. Would they be able to face these challenges or would it take away everything they fought so hard for. Those questions my dear friends are for you to discover the answers to. This book has it all...romance, action, mystery, suspense, and most importantly Mason. I couldn't get enough of Mason in this book.
Mason use to be a MMA fighter but now he's a police officer getting ready to go undercover on a very dangerous case that he might not return from. Four months ago he and Claire hooked up for a night and then the next morning she drove him to the airport where he left and she didn't hear from him again.
Now he's come back and he needs to tell Claire how he really feels about her. He knows she has a boyfriend but he's hoping that once his case is done she will give him a second chance to make things right with them. What he didn't expect was Claire showing up in Vegas to help him out on his case. She has connections he didn't know about and can get him into places he won't be able to get in on his own or without connections of some sort.
I couldn't put this book down. I was drawn in from beginning to end. A wonderful read about second chances and what a person will do to protect the people they love. Wow, where do I even begin! This book by far surpassed my expectations. I love just scrolling through Barnes and Nobles Nook books and finding books and authors that are amazing. I would have never known about L.P. Dover. Boy am I glad I've found it now!
So now I should probably get on to making a review. As a disclaimer, I haven't read that previous 2 books because I didn't know they existed until I looked up the next book to see if it was out. I'm sure I would have been rooting for certain characters if I had read the previous books but, I still connected with them. This book was fan-freaking-tastic! It had a little bit of everything, there were definitely some hot and steamy parts in there, quite a few actually. So if you don't like that then I wouldn't recommend reading it. If you love a little bit of hot and steamy and a very excellent romance plot line, then this is the book for you. Although it doesn't have the same plot that most fall into. I personally love those books but it's nice to have a little suspense and drama thrown in there every once in awhile. Also, the book was a great length for the price definitely getting your moneys worth and then some.

I discovered this book and author in the Playing With Fire box set. It's my first book with MMA fighters and by LP Dover. It was so intense I couldn't believe it.
Mason used to be a MMA fighter. He decided to go into law enforcement. When his best friend, as well as some others, start being killed he decides to go undercover to find the culprits. There is someone he needed to let know his true feelings to first. He left her six months prior but needed her to know his true feelings just in case he didn't come out of this investigation alive.
Claire was crazy in love with Mason. she was heartbroken when he left her six months ago. Now she's in a relationship with her best friend. When Mason's cousin, Melissa gives her a letter from Mason revealing his true feelings for her she knows it's her chance to be with the man she's always loved.
Claire leaves her best friend, Connor, to go after Mason. Only Mason is leaving for Las Vegas. He has a killer to find. Claire is not about to. let Mason go to sin city without her. With Claire's connections in Las Vegas Claire feels like she can help him.
Claire had always been a good judge of character. When they returned to sin city she never imagined someone she knew would be being investigated for murder, much less being guilty. She was not just wrong, she was dead wrong.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, betrayal, pain, kidnapping, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first

Swoony leading man and MMA fighting,,,where could you possibly go wrong with that? Throw in some danger and a budding romance and you have a book that is sure to please a crowd. That's exactly what L.P. Dover has done with Meant for Me.
Claire and Mason have a troubled past. I mean come on, if you hooked up with a guy and he didn't even try to reach out after four months you'd be pissed too! Just when Claire seems to have her life back on track Mason comes barging in again. This time though he may not return at all.
Mason has been regreting doing nothing about his feelings for Claire. He knows that she is some pissed off at him, but with a new assignment at work that will put his life in danger, he needs to at least tell her how he feels. What Mason didn't count on was Claire ending up in the middle of his investigation.
A great story about second chances and the things we will do in order to protect the one we love. I absolutely love L.P. Dover's writing style. Her books always draw you in and leave you wanting more. Meant for Me is no exception.

This book was fantastic!
I love a fighter book!
A one night stand will change everything. After knowin each other for a while do to masons cousin Melissa. Claire and Mason give into temptation and had a one night stand. When mason thinks of it as just that a one night stand. Claire is crushed. Mason leaves and goes back to his home. Claire moves on with a old friend.
When A friends death happens mason wants to know who did it and wants justice. But the mission he is going into he could not make it out alive. So he goes to tell the one person he has always loved he wants to be with her -Claire.
Will Claire take him back? Or will she stay with her old friend/new boyfriend? That is for you to find out.
Mason will have to fight for the love of his life and for his life will he make it out alive?
Will they get there HEA?

The fact that Claire O’Briene was left with a broken heart by Mason! Their paths manage to collide again when Claire is able to give him a push into the fighting world and the romance picks up where it left off.
This book had me run through a gambit of emotions, all of which were great, and even had me laughing! The sex scenes were amazing and certainly will please readers who love steamy moments! As someone who has recently begun reading books that focus on MMA characters, this certainly was a knock out! If you are looking for a new read, don’t hesitate to grab this book TODAY!!!

I received an ARC for an honest review.
I know this book is meant for a standalone. I love this whole Second Chance series. The characters Claire and Mason had me attached since the 1st chapter. I was whisked away in the book to the MMA world in Las Vegas. It felt like the real Vegas not some fictionalized, stereotypical view of Vegas. LP Dover is able to give great visualizations of her settings. It's one of the reasons I love the other two books in this series as well.
The characters of Claire and Mason, their sexual chemistry was off the charts. The things one can do with a chocolate pastry is interesting. ;)
The story had everything for me to enjoy, suspense, drama, romance great hero and heroine. I didn't want the story end. I cannot wait for the next book. I hope it's soon.

Claire and Mason shared an amazing night together and because of Mason's own stupidity they lost one another. Claire tries to move on but never truly can and Mason lives in regret for several months. Mason is assigned to go undercover on a very dangerous case with a chance of not returning home. Without giving too many details he and Claire find their way back together. This is the first romance novel I have ever read that shares perspectives from both sides of the relationship and I loved that. Mason's love for Claire is as intense and pure as hers is for him. I was on the edge of my seat at times. This book had everything passion, violence, and romance. I cannot wait to read Matt's Story next!!
