Rate this book
"If the only friction burns you get are from falling down the stairs, then you really need to change your life!" - Sarah Darling Mother of five Sarah feels so sorry for herself that one day as she looks into the mirror and decides that looking at both herself and her life - all is not well. Sarah knows from her work as a sex therapist and teacher of psychology in the UK, that if she is not happy with her life, then it is within her power to change things. This she does so thoroughly that those around her notice these changes too, especially after her weight loss, boob job and change in both style and image. The biggest change in Sarah however is regarding her attitude towards sex. Frustrated by the lack of interest from her rather awful husband she embarks on having sex with anyone she fancied! Sarah's take on the world of therapy is hilarious and gives a rare insight to this profession. Some of the characters that come to life are her friends and clients who each have stories of their own. Sarah questions her own sexuality and issues and talks of her sexual adventures explicitly and comically in a way that many people can relate to. Her style is frank and honest; pouring her most intimate memories to you. Sarah is an authentic example of a woman who desired change and dared to obtain it. She is empowering and real, and will entice you to find your true self.

A thoroughly enjoyable read where every page has you smiling!

From the outset Sarah, the lead character has you smiling at her brave outlook on life with a selfish man whose priorities do not include his family. When Sarah realises this, she decides to make changes to her lifestyle which starts in motion a wonderful voyage of self discovery packed with hilarious situations that will keep you wondering what's going to happen next, and how she will deal with it.

Looking forward to book two!

By the way, with a title like "Pure Filth", readers should expect it to be explicit! If you can't handle the thought of extramarital sex, you probably shouldn't read this book.

This book is quite truly amazing and is based on the author's life, it really does show the empowerment of women and also that life can still be enjoyed no matter what age you are. It is worth a read for the fun, the frolics, and the sheer enjoyment of living Sarah's life through her book. Can't wait for the follow up.
