Happiness Lost

Rate this book
Disenchanted author Harry Sinclaire is completely out of ideas. No one, including himself, thinks he can deliver his next book. His agent has just given him a deadline. His fans don't believe in him in anymore. Despite all the pressure, his haunting past clings to him, allowing nothing or no one to inspire him. Not even moving back to his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina can bring him back to the person he was when he wrote his first novel. Harry's miserable world is disrupted when Anika, his best friend's fiancee, moves in with him and brings her own complications and secrets. Suddenly, this woman he loathes is inspiring the book he desperately needs. As damaging as it would be to write a book about his best friend's fiancee, Harry is running low on time and options.

I was intrigued by this book as it is about an Author that has writer's block. So, R.L. Wallace is writing about an Author. I loved everything about the book. The characters n story line were great. This is a new Author for me but will definitely look up more of her books. She kept me guessing even when I thought I had it all figured out. So, if u would like a book that has great family & friends along with romance, heart break & friendships u will enjoy this book. I was surprised by the ending. She definitely won me over see if she does the same for you. I hope u check this book out well worth the read!!

Fantastic book! The story delves into the mind of Harry Sinclaire and his psyche and how he deals with Anika Jamison, his best friend's fiancee, as he is forced to live with her, a woman he can't stand. I love how the story wasn't predictable, and was extremely engaging by putting me into the mind (first person) of Harry.
