The First Synn is thrilling and everything I've come to enjoy from Teel James Glenn. You'll find heroic characters, hired guns, and feindish plots throughout this fast paced adventure. I'm very excited to read the next installment, Bayou Sinistire.

I am not surprised that I loved this book. I am lucky I bought the book when I did. It a quick read, but very well written. Gideon is fictional boyfriend worthy. I am surprised this book has not had the traffic like a lot of other books. But it is like finding a gem. Compared to many other books it is short .I can't wait to delve into the world further. Having this is like falling into a wicked paranormal realistic history in only 100 plus pages. It is like you are a reporter following the main characters or someone in training. The author makes it feel like you are reading something forbidden like cop files yet dealing with the x-files. Knowing you like it but can't pin point what you like the most in this story to the point that you just say "If I don't have a favorite part then the whole thing is captivating." It pulls you in on the first page. And holds you hostage till the end. Not letting you go till you reach the last page. A must read start to a series and I can not wait till the next book comes out... This should be on everyones TBR List.

This little book is an entertaining light read. I typically don’t enjoy mysteries as they’re usually so perfectly laid out that the reader knows the outcome or the twist halfway through the book. With this one, you get the mystery as much as you get a background on the relationship between the main characters. So, the plot wrapped up so perfectly at the end that you sit back and realize you were so distracted by the subplots going on, you didn’t pay as much attention to the clues.

Overall, I thought it to be fast-paced, action packed and still allows for the reader to connect on an emotional level with the main cast. The author does a good job of making a likable duo out of the two mains, to the point to where I feel I’ll make it a point to keep an eye out for their next adventure.

Once again Teel James Glenn shines in writing action scenes and filling his pages with suspense. “The First Synn: The Bloodstone Confidential” contains Glenn’s typical mixture of quirky characters, nail-biting mysteries and pulp-fiction fun. I enjoyed the paranormal elements of this particular installment, but occasionally the characters were bogged down with heavy-handed description of features and clothes that seemed a bit overkill. I would give “The First Synn” three out of five stars.
