I was a little disappointed with this one. It took well over half the book to get to any real action. I didn’t think there was enough character development to make me care about the characters. And worst of all, they tore up the Magic Kingdom at Disney World.
This has all the elements I love: science, a secret government agency, corrupt political figures, action, and suspense. Overall, I would say for me it was a 3.5. My biggest complaint, and the reason I can't give it more stars, was that we truly didn't get to know the characters beyond a superficial level. In some ways, they were cardboard cut outs of a certain type of character. If a little bit more character work had been done, I would have rated this higher.
Eventful, captivating and exciting action book. I highly recommend it if you like a little investigation, combats, mad and powerful villains and not-so-perfect heroes. If you don't, I still recommend it. I just couldn't put it down.
