I feel like you're better off flipping through an entry level anatomy or biology book while looking at photographs of actual people or of more detailed drawings. He is simultaneously specific and vague.
For me, I found this to be hard to follow with, and believe it to be for people who are already familiar with human anatomy. That being said, I can see how this can be a very good book for someone who has learnt how to draw in the past, and is looking to get back to drawing.
i prefer this to hogarth- more realistic depictions of fat and muscle distribution. good for studies. some limitations. there’s, for the most part, only one body type and it is male. for specific projects, definitely source your own reference material. as an introduction, it’s great
