When twenty-two year old Olivia LeRoux moves to New York City, she never imagined she was stepping into a world of passion, sensation, seduction and oblivion until the fanatical weeks she spent with Jace Rush, a captivatingly possessive businessman, shattered down around her with a truth that threatened to suffocate her and shred her heart.

Olivia’s life spiraled out of control. One moment, she was texting her best friend about a bottle of wine, and the next, everything was black. Waking up in the hospital was one thing. But staring into the hypnotic blue eyes of a man she’d never seen before was another. When he asked her out, she couldn’t refuse. Something about him compelled her to release her inhibitions and jump headfirst into a sexual relationship unlike anything she could ever imagine. When the no-strings-attached relationship became tied down with the looming threat to Olivia’s life, emotions were heightened and catastrophic secrets were revealed. In the end, can Olivia accept Jace for what he is as a sadomasochist, or will her fears of his demons force her to ignore her heart and walk away?

Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, Alannah Carbonneau is only a short drive away from the Rocky Mountains that have a staring place in so many of her novels. With seventeen novels and counting currently available on Amazon, Alannah is not only a full-time author, but a full-time mom of two beautiful boys, and wife to an amazing man who always has her back. She lives in a rambling ranch house that needs way too many renos and has one too many cats, but she is happy and in love.

With a solid circle of friends and family, and a very manly, supportive husband who does his best to make sure his family is taken care of, Alannah’s novels feature manly men (sometimes they can be a LOT manly) and friend/family relationships weaved into the stories, because life is about a whole mess of people, and although this is fiction, the best fiction is sprinkled with sweet (and sometimes not so sweet) bits of reality.

Because she loves romance, Alannah writes Contemporary and New Adult Romance. Soon to be released is the Creekwood Valley Series that has ties to the reader beloved Donnelley Brother Series, where light suspense and romance weave to create titillating stories that not only steal your heart but keep you on the edge of your seat. She is the author of the highly rated Teach Me Series, an emotional read about love, life and lessons learned. Our Dark Design is a standalone erotic romance peppered with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and The Choice is an entirely unconventional standalone romance about three.

She is currently working on a Cross World Fantasy Romance Series for Adults she can’t wait to share with you, because this will feature hot men who are a little bit dominant and a lot protective who are head over heels in love with stubborn, magnificent women.

When Alannah isn’t writing or spending time with her three men, she can be found in her garden, or with a paint brush in hand. But no matter where she is or what she’s doing, you can bet that she’s thinking of a love story she can share with you.

Ok....so....I just finished the whole series and since there are no reviews out there yet I feel like it's my duty to provide a little info. ;) In fact, I actually had to add all three books to Goodreads because they weren't added for some reason! That was a first for me.

Jace Rush:
Billionaire CEO type, possessive, growly, Alpha stalker-ish, needs to dominate in the bedroom, known for being very emotionless with women, owns half of New York, (yada yada yada). You know the type. Caveman.

"What the hell are you doing, Olivia?" I turned my back to him. "I'm getting dressed and going home." "The hell you are." Jace growled and then I was in his arm. He threw me over his shoulder, and stomped, angrily, to the stairs. "Put me down right now, Jace." I yelled as my fists pounded against his back. I couldn't remember the last time I was this angry. I was fuming. The moment he set me down on my feet, I was going to show him just how angry I was. How dare he think this is appropriate?
See? Caveman. You know you like it.

In the beginning of the book, we start with Jace's POV. He is on his way home when he spots Olivia in the back of a taxi and is inexplicably captivated. He determines that he is going to find a way to hunt her down in order to get to know her better. To his horror, he sees a car run a red light and head straight for her car. There is nothing he can do but watch the horrible collision take place. He runs to pull her from the wreck, the whole time questioning his own sanity over his behavior. Why does he feel the need to take care of her? Get to know her?

The moment I saw her eyes for the first time, the flash of emotion and purity in their depths... I had been lost, and yet, so very found.

Olivia ends up in a coma and Jace doesn't leave her side. When she finally wakes up she sees him and is flabbergasted. Her thoughts? Who is this man? Why is he here and so concerned about me?! Do I have amnesia? Do I have a husband that I've forgotten? I had to laugh at this because really, what else would she think? It's kind of funny. Olivia is attracted as well but decides she needs to avoid him at all costs. He is just the type of man that has caused her pain in the past. He is too much like her Ex and her wealthy family who she is estranged from and she can't afford to allow anyone like that back in her life.

Olivia LeRoux:

Comes from a wealthy, privileged upbringing that was also void of any love or affection from her parents or her brother. Their only use for her was to further their social status or connections through marriage. So she decided after an inheritance from her grandfather and the help of her best friend Trisha to start over in New York and cut them out of her life. Being a book lover, she decides to use the money to start a book store/coffee shop and finally live her life for her own happiness. I loved that she was a book lover.

Trisha shook her head. "You're the only person on earth who shoves their nose in every book they pick up."
"They smell like peace." I defended myself adamantly.
"I didn't know peace had a smell."
I shot a smile at her as I walked to the back of the store. "There's a book in my purse. Take a whiff."

Loved that!

As much as they try to stay away from each other, it doesn't last long. As wrong as they both feel that they are for each other they just can't seem to stay away.

I had been hoping I would be able to forget her... get her out of my system, if only I could get her into bed, but I think I knew it would be impossible. Olivia was not the kind of girl you could just screw and be done with. It didn't work that way with her. She was so much more. But damn, I was not good for her. I lived with secrets that would ruin her. I carried a weight on my shoulders that would destroy her wide-eyed innocence. She was good, right down to her very core. She was honest and blunt and to my surprise, naturally submissive. She was everything I wanted, but shouldn't let myself indulge in.

"I'm not good for you." He broke away from me as he slowly laid me on the bed. His eyes were tense and filled with desire, as they trailed over my body, moving slow. "But I'll be damned if I let you go now."

"You made me feel things no one else ever had." I blushed profusely at my admittance and sipped my wine, hoping to cool my heated blood. Jace cocked his head, his mouth quirked in a grin. "What did I make you feel, Olivia?" I held his eyes with my own. I felt entirely bared to him as I stared into his eyes... into his soul. "Alive."

Jace has a secret from his past that caused him to mistrust and close himself off from women. He doesn't date-he has submissives who must sign a contract that they are fine with his brand of sex: sadomasochism. I wasn't too sure how I felt about him being this way. He actually enjoyed inflicting pain and humiliation on his subs. I wasn't crazy about that. BUT-he is NEVER that way with Olivia. To him, she is to be cherished. Sacred. She makes him want more out of life-she makes him happy. She is his "Angel" and for the first time in his life he makes love to a woman. She is everything pure and beautiful and he feels unworthy. His sexual preferences are not explored with Olivia until book 2 and even then she is not treated disrespectfully or like the other women. She wouldn't allow it anyway. She is no doormat. She explores things with him, but she is too independent to put up with excessive controlling behavior. She is the first woman to ever stand up to him and not be intimidated. The sex is pretty much what you would expect from an erotic romance. Sexy, steamy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Jace flicked his tongue against mine, coaxing me to loosen myself to him, and when I did, I moaned into his mouth. He kissed me harder, forcing me into the back of the seat. It was as though he wanted to swallow my moan and possess my pleasure. The desperation behind the action only made me burn hotter for him. My mind was hazy as Jace pulled his tongue from the dance with mine to lavish attention to my bottom lip. He sucked it into his mouth before biting down. It stung, but the sting was delicious. I moaned a plea and he, a tortured sound, as he moved to kiss my chin. His tongue trailed a fiery path over the line of my jaw and I tilted my head obediently for his access to my throat. Without warning, he nipped at my earlobe and the wet need that had accumulated between my legs, doubled. "You smell so good." Jace's whisper was tortured against my neck as he inhaled deeply.

Usually if there is a stalker or killer involved, it is the heroine who is being threatened. In this case, the author decided to make it the Hero's life being threatened. There are threatening letters being sent to Olivia. If she doesn't stay away from Jace, they will have to take him out of the picture themselves. This is "for her own good" because he will only end up hurting her in the long run. The mystery of "Her Savior" kept me guessing. I changed my mind several times who the culprit was and it really captured my interest. I loved both Jace and Olivia's best friends. They were great secondary characters. Very protective and funny. His secret is hanging over their heads and his bitter ex lurking in the background. So you know sooner or later their happy little bubble is going to be popped.

Anyhow, my thoughts on this book, the first book in the series: If you like erotic books with a billionaire hero, dom/sub, a crazy/intense/possessive attraction, you will most likely enjoy this book. It's not exactly something that hasn't been done before, but it was still done well I thought. It wasn't just slapped together with all the popular plot arcs without any thought put into the writing. There were quite a few grammatical/spelling errors, but I was willing to overlook it based on the overall story. Just a warning in case this is a deal breaker for you. On the plus side, even though there are two cliffhangers, all three books are already out-so you can read them together. No waiting.

Look. I'm not made of stone. I can appreciate a pair of sexy blue eyes as much as the next woman. But GODDAMMIT TO HELL what is it about blue eyes in this genre that makes the cerebrum of every one of its heroines go completely atrophic? Have they all been conditioned by an international team of Pavlovian optical scientists to drool and pant uncontrollably at the flash of the color blue? And if so, can I take them all to a Blue Man Group concert just to witness the inevitable libidinous carnage?

I ask because, as the heroine of Alannah Carbonneau's All Good Things admits, there is no other reason for her to desire the constant intrusions of the hero. And his rationale for those intrusions is no better than hers. He just sees her on the street one day and goes BLAH DAH LADY PRETTY.

Does anyone but me still find it romantic when two compatible people like each other and decide to be in a relationship? Isn't that... you know... better?

Our heroine is Olivia. She just moved to New York, which she finds much more overwhelming with its frenetic energy and easily snarled traffic than her hometown. Of Toronto.

Alannah Carbonneau hails from a town in Alberta with a population of 17,000. She should know better.

Some guy spots Olivia riding in a cab. I think he had a name, but who cares? His eyes are blue. Shut up. He immediately plans to use his big dick billionaire energy to bribe the cabbie into divulging whatever personal information he has on her, including her pick-up and drop-off locations.

(Just imagine Mike Myers playing this guy in a movie. Still turned on?)

Luckily, a car accident happens, rendering Olivia comatose. The hospital allows the man with eyes as blue as Smurf vomit to remain in the room with her for four days, even though he's not her next of kin, her friend, her roommate, her landlord, her boss, her cat, or anyone in the world who might get permission to be there. He admits as much in her attending physician's presence. Her roommate Trisha, her one local connection, consistently demands to know his motives and tries to make him leave. She tries to make him leave. Yet at no point does this happen:

I like to think rules apply to billionaires in the real world. I vastly prefer that world.

So, what's the deal with the man with eyes as blue as a New York Giants jockstrap? Blah blah blah domineering father yadda yadda yadda viperish ex-girlfriend etc. etc. etc. douchebag business partner yackety shmackety motherly assistant loo loo loo control freakery. You know the type. These books have introduced me to well over 20 of them, and they haven't gotten interesting yet.

He wishes he could bring himself to do what Olivia explicitly asked of him, which is to back the fuck up. Alas, the rags have gotten wind of a guy staying in a hospital room with a woman he doesn't know. Instead of asking how he got permission to do that, they speculate about the identity of the private-citizen car crash victim and assume they actually do know each other quite well, because why else would he blow off work for her? Well, at least they had the sense to note how weird that part is.

But the rags have given the man with eyes as blue as a blue raspberry all-syrup Super Squishee a brilliant opportunity. If he can protect her from the press, she'll be only too happy to keep him around! And he can prove to the public that he has a heart! Of course, we know he has a heart, because would a man without a heart have inner monologue like this?

I've been trying to do the right thing, staying away from her, but I'm growing weak. With every day, the insistent craving I feel to have her grows stronger....

I've been hoping that a few days will aid me in forgetting the bliss I feel at the warmth of her golden eyes peering into the dark of my soul, igniting the darkness with her light....

I will own the salvation she dangles before my soul, no matter the line I must cross. I will collect her heart, because it is in her love, that I will finally find deliverance. It is in her love that I will finally know peace.

..........................If you say so, m'dude. I personally would have chosen Zoloft.

Olivia is busy making plans for the café bookstore she's always dreamed of opening, except for the crucial step of researching her competition. Ever heard of a little NYC outfit called Shakespeare & Co., moron? Before you ask if money will be an issue, I assure you she has a Deus ex ATMachina in the form of her dead grandpappy, so at least that gets an explanation. But she's confused because, despite her vehement protests, she finds herself wanting to see more of the man with eyes as blue as the Zoom desktop icon. He reminds her of her estranged family, most of whom apparently have Chateau Petrus flowing through their veins instead of blood, so she knows she really should keep her distance. But, you know...

Trisha tries to help by encouraging Olivia to go for Trey, her friendly, handsome contractor who gives her the revolutionary idea to add a full kitchen so she can serve food along with the book coffee. Great idea, Trisha! Hooking up with her contractor wouldn't have the slightest potential to mess up her business plan, such as it is! But Trey's eyes are green. Nixed.

Meanwhile, after catching douchebag business partner Caleb Cage (HAHAHAHAHA WHAT?!) balls-deep in some rando at work, the man with eyes as blue as blue from Blue's Clues decides to show up at Olivia's unopened shop, stand there all powerful and rumbly and masculine, ask her to dinner, and force her to accept a ride home with him when she refuses. Olivia wonders if she even has the choice to get rid of him. Yes. You do. It's called a restraining order.

During the car ride, Olivia shares her theory on what makes a successful relationship:

"The true magic in a relationship isn't about the first flutters, or the unquenchable heat, the real magic comes after that. When the passion settles and two people, two hearts make a conscious decision to love one another forever, respecting and appreciating one another, remaining faithful and attentive. That's where the magic is."

"You think passion is doomed to die?"

"No," I say slowly. "But I do believe it settles into something more stable."

YES! EXACTLY! THANK YOU! But the man with eyes as blue as a Labatt label shuts that down by claiming his passion is unstoppable, so much so that he's gotten a background check done on her (because all billionaires have the fucking FBI at their disposal) and will do literally whatever he feels necessary to have her. This turns her on so much that they make out. Fuck's sake, Olivia.

The man with eyes as blue as the bright blue flame of a particularly sweet donut runs off before this can progress further. Something about vulnerability and control and shit. He changes his mind the next day, though, because SOMETHIN'S GOT A HOLD ON HIM RIGHT NOW, OH, IT MUST BE PLOT. How does he make up for leaving Olivia frustratedly horny? Forcing her to accept transportation to her work site from his bodyguard, who jovially warns her that his employer's considerable donations to the NYPD and "National Defense" give him immunity against all criminal charges, including harassment. Instead of getting in his car and taking a giant, splatty post-coffee dump on the upholstery while loudly expounding on the merits of five-way group sex with sumo wrestlers, Olivia turns to Trey for protection against the protection. This goes well until he repeats her own misgivings about all this right to her face, which reminds her that she doesn't feel the "zing" for him that she feels for the man with eyes as blue as Cool Mint Listerine. And that's why, when that man shows up again at the end of the evening, she decides to leave with him and tells Trey to scram.

These books absolutely would not work if their heroines thought with their brains instead of their clits.

The man with eyes as blue as the Tick's dryer lint finally persuades Olivia to let him bombard his way into her life. How? By telling her he has enemies who would gladly kill her to get to him. Now you'd think the logical response to this would be to go halfway across the world so neither he nor his enemies can bother her any further. Instead Olivia decides to give in to her deepest, darkest dumb and enjoy his dick while protecting her heart. And then he delivers her very first orgasm. During her very first time having sex. In his ultramodern penthouse. Complete with vast automobile collection.

After that, she decides to leave. He convinces her to stay by binding her to the bed and fucking her on it. I'm sorry, did I use the word "convince?" I meant to use another word. Another word against which physical arousal is NOT A DEFENSE.

Amid all this, we get endless, repeated soliloquies from the man with eyes as blue as Milhouse's brows about everyone who ever wronged him and how Olivia is going to make up for all the damage they caused. Enjoy having that responsibility foisted upon you, girls. Then the first half of chapter 9 and the second half of chapter 10 from Fifty Shades happen, followed by Olivia deciding she "can't do this" and texting him as much:

History is not kind to great loves, soul mates, true love.... I may as well end it now and get ahead of the grief. The loss. The misery, and the heartache. Because I know in the deep of my heart, in the whole of my soul, every fiber of my flesh, that Jace is my great love. He's my soul mate, my true love. And I know that we're destined for destruction.

But. once again, the man with the blue blue bluey blue bloobity blue blue blue eyes shows up and refuses to take "goodbye" for an answer. And, once again, he fucks her into disregarding her better judgment. And, once again, his only excuse is that she's mindhacked him with her implacable beauty.

Good fucking gravy, what is WRONG with these two? They are not well. Neither of them.

Olivia gets an anonymous letter, signed "Your Savior," warning her against getting in too deep with the man with eyes as blue as surgical scrubs. Yes, the spirits have escalated this one all the way up to the top. If you can't listen to yourself, Olivia, surely you can listen to Jesus, yes?

Olivia calls her family's good and faithful housekeeper for advice. The advice is that she should go for it because he makes her hoo-ha do crazy things. Just wait until you've been together eight years and you have to schedule sex around your child's naptime. See what good your hoo-ha craziness does you then.

What am I saying? The man with eyes as blue as a full bottle of Windex Glass and Window Cleaner would hire a small Filipino island of nannies to handle all the childcare. Hell, he'd probably hire one of them as a surrogate just so Olivia's hoo-ha stays perfectly equipped for craziness. Billionaires have resources, you know.

A week passes. Olivia has kept her distance, which is driving the man with eyes as blue as Monica's dress so batty that he's scaring everyone at work and jacking off for both distance and accuracy. Even Caleb has noticed, and none of his BRO, GET YOURSELF SOME OTHER PUSSY, BRO, THIS CHICK AIN'T SPECIAL, BRO, BRO, BRO-BRO-BRO arguments have any effect. And so he goes to scope out Olivia himself, mostly to test if he, a handsome rich guy with a suit and a Rolex, can supplant the other handsome rich guy (who likely also has suits and Rolexes) in her affections. He can't, of course. I bet his eyes are brown. Or maybe it's just that his name is Caleb Cage.

I've avoided mentioning this so far, but the man with eyes that are blue, da ba dee da ba die, da ba dee da ba die, da ba dee da ba die is named Jace Rush.

He's not too happy with Caleb's unsolicited test, least of all when Caleb gushes about Olivia's hotness and how every man in the tri-state area notices it. He calls up Olivia that night and demands to see her, just to assure himself that she wants no man but him. She snaps back that she doesn't even want him, but we all know she doesn't mean it, which makes all his behavior completely okay.

So, even though he tells her he was coming to her place whether she wanted him there or not, even though she has to crash Trisha's date with Trey (spares paired, yay!) just to duck him, even though he crashes that date and turns her on into coming home with him, she gives in. To all of it. Here's how that happens, basically:

Her: I don't trust you because of past experience with people like you and your complete failure to demonstrate that you can be trusted with anyone's emotions. I'm also trying to rebuild my life from scratch and I don't need any romantic distractions. Also the stalking. Did I mention the stalking?

Him: But I super-duper for realsies love you.

Her: I super-duper for realsies love you too!

Next we have a whole lot of fucking, some greasy breakfast, and entire spaces in his closet and bathroom reserved for the overpriced nonsense he buys for her. Unfortunately, no number of orgasms can dissuade Olivia from leaving his place to oversee the work on her café. The man with eyes as blue as Pantone 19-4052 would rather she stayed there and let him fund her lifestyle, which he considers much more respectable because of the size of his payroll. That, finally, is enough for her to GTFO and go home. I suppose it wouldn't have helped if he'd also pointed out that New York City is already groaning with book coffee establishments and hers, thus far, has no USP at all.

Waiting for her is another letter from her Savior, expressing his disappointment in her for failing to heed his warnings.

The man with eyes as blue as Sadness from Inside Out comes over to... ugh, if you can't guess by now, you're a very slow learner. Then we get a chapter from "Savior," who is watching the whole thing from outside and having an angry wank session about it. Who is he? Who cares? I bet his eyes are gray. He's working with the evil ex-girlfriend of the man with eyes as blue as James Marsden's balls to separate them, mostly by feeding her half-truths and vagueness. This forces him to spill all the beans to Olivia, which earns him one more nice fuck before she decides for the seventh or eighth time that she can't deal with this shit and makes him leave.

Now I want to ask all of you a serious question, and I want you to think really hard about this before you answer. Would you be able to deal with this shit? No matter how hot the guy was, no matter how much of the planet shattered on every orgasm, no matter if his eyes were as blue as a Spongebob Squarepants setpiece, would you really want to put up with a guy who has so little disrespect for your boundaries or your life? Even if your current and/or past relationships have been normal and healthy to the point of being a little bit dull, is this the alternative you'd ever actually want? Because after consuming more dark billionaire romance than I care to admit, I'm starting to envision a new kind of escapism—the kind where vulnerable women get respect and asshole men get consequences.

These guys, and the subgenre responsible for them, need to be put in their place. Soon.

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Book Length: Novel
POV: Alternating First Person; Jace and Olivia
Hero: Jace Rush is a wealthy billionaire in New York City. He is also an ex-Navy Seal (which is never revealed to Olivia for some strange reason). He has black hair and striking blue eyes. His age is never revealed either but I’m assuming late 20’s to early 30’s.
Heroine: Olivia LeRoux is a bookstore/cafe owner. She is estranged from her family in Canada. She has brown wavy hair and honey brown eyes.
Heat Level: High
Frequency of Sex: Book 1/Medium, Book 2/High, Book 3/High
Angst Level: Medium
Standalone or Series: Series of 3 books
Cliffhanger: Yes for books 1 and 2. No for book 3
Epilogue: Yes in book 3
HFN or HEA: HEA
Thoughts on Ending: Wonderful ending, very satisfying.
Would I Recommend? Yes
My Review: This is my first time reading anything by Alannah Carbonneau and I’ll be reviewing all three books in this series together. Jace is the alpha of all alphas. He’s highly secretive, possessive, protective and obsessed with Olivia. Olivia is the typical sweet, naive and virginal girl that gets ensnared into the world of a powerful and enigmatic billionaire. The first book, All Good Things, is all about Jace and Olivia meeting and fighting their feelings for each other. Olivia is very stubborn and a bit frustrating as she doesn’t communicate well and runs away from Jace a lot. There is some Ex drama to contend with and mysterious letters from a stalker start appearing. One thing I have to say is that is absolutely HATED the best friend Trisha. She is loud-mouthed, unsupportive, promiscuous and downright irritating. Book 1 ends in an angsty cliffhanger. The second book, All Good Things Exposed, continues the story about seven weeks in the future. We see Jace and Olivia grow and mature in their feelings. There isn’t as much running away (which was very welcome) and our H/h learn to start communicating their emotions better. Book 2 ends in a cliffhanger as well. The third and final book, All Good Things Absolved, is shorter than the previous two books but still very satisfying. All the conflicts including the stalker problem are resolved nicely. There is advancement in Jace and Olivia’s relationship and their story ends beautifully with a touching epilogue six years in the future. All three books are very hot and steamy with lots of intimacy and declarations of love. I really enjoyed Jace and Olivia’s story and will definitely be looking for more from this author. This is a great series, I highly recommend it!

A must-read Erotic Romance with a twist

This is my thirteenth novel written by the author. This review is story-based.

In a world full of Erotic Romances, you have to be inventive and innovative, and that is what the author accomplished here.

We are presented with Olivia LeRoux, a recently transplanted Canadian now living in New York City. She comes with a troublesome past and tries to find in NYC a life free from the bonds of her incomprehensible and over-bearing family.

A twist of fate brings her in the care of one of NYC's most eligible bachelors - Jace Rush. He is captivated by her and bound to her in a such a way even he has a hard time describing it.

Olivia and Jace have dominant personalities and, boy, do they bump heads! It will take a singular situation to bring one of them into submission. The sexual tension in the book is delectable and had me at the edge of my seat sipping on an iced tea while a blizzard was blowing outside.

There is a bit of everything written in this book: Romance, Suspense, and super hot and steamy scenes between Jace and Olivia.

Will these two lovers have their Happy Ever After, or will someone from their pasts haunt their chances?

Five Stars from me. Brava.

I hate an FMC who declares constantly that she is strong and independent and would never be beholden to anyone because of her past who immediately falls into a relationship with a controlling, manipulative man who uses money and status to keep her under his thumb.

There were many incidents in this story where I felt angry at the poorly disguised manipulation and coercion, but to take her virginity, her telling you she wants you to stop because it hurts, and you keep going because it’ll stop hurting eventually was just evil. I’m sure the author thought having him apologize afterwards was somehow penance for that, but it was absolutely not.

I wanted to read the whole thing since it was available on Unlimited, but I don’t care how this ends when this man is clearly abusive.

Also, “the bastard” and “the bitch” being talked about every five pages was on my last nerve. This guy does a lot of overthinking about his abusive father and his ex-girlfriend but zero thinking about how he’s abusing this girl and manipulating her the same way his father and ex-treated him.

Idea of the plot did not work.

This is my second attempt of this author's book since the writing does show the feel that I wanted to try again.. Except, this one had the same type of FMC as the other book with low self esteem, self doubt, pathetic, and weak. The worst was the repetitive mentioned of the h ex OW that the h loved before that broke his heart. It overshadowed the importance of the FMC. Pretty much the main focused on this book is all about the broken h from the previous relationship. Really?

Don't care for this type of OW ex as the main reasons of angst. What a joke and annoying h. The FMC was unlikable and made to act as a fool. Stuttering and intimidated of seeing lots of expensive cars that the h owned and unrealistic behavior. Bottom line, don't care for how this author portrays the FMC personality. No more from this author.

Typical but still unexpected

When I first started reading this book it read like your typical billionaire, alpha, control freak male. But then the suspence came into play then the romance and by e end we had a full blow story where one emotion lead into another. I can honestly say that the end was pretty pedicab le but I did like the fact that one of the characters questioned Olivia on why she was doing what she was doing. I can't wait to move on to the second book to continue this journey.

i have had this book for a while and never bothered to read it . i now know why i never bothered. Good storyline, my kinda book, a lot like FSOG. I loved the banter between the h and H, some was even funny, but the h was just so annoying, its been a while since i have read about such an annoying character. i just couldnt connect with her

I don't mind the similarity to fsog but it is a poor reflection of it. the MCs aren't really fleshed out and they seem like wannabe Christian grey and Anastasia Steele. Didn't work for me even though I like reading about stalkery-ott alphas but the writing and even the steamy scenes are just meh. Disappointed!

I just couldn't finish reading this book. They both mmc and fmc did not want a relationship with anyone. They went on with their separate lives for a while. I don't like stories like this. I like stories where both people wants a relationship and family with each other. This story left me feeling negative and disatisfied. This book is not for me. DNF....

If you count all the scenes and try to match it to the first book in 50 Shades of Grey you'd find that it overlaps almost perfectly. There have been a lot of books that ride the tide of this genre during it's hype, but this book takes it to a whole new level. It was good writing at least.

Cliffhanger

This book has a ton of typos. Using "lair" instead of liar is one example. So lazy..

I skipped ahead because it was so monotonous, and then i realized it was a cliffhanger. Ugh.

I don't recommend this book or this author.

DNF

I'm not sure how this book/series is rated so high.

This was one of my few DNF books. It was awful.

Definitely and certainly not my kind of book. I have no idea how I read it all. My apologies to the author and the ones who liked it. But not me and I am sure I am not alone.

Who doesn't love a strong heroine and even stronger hero. I loved that Olivia was able to stand up to Jace and can't wait to see what happens next.

Olivia LeRoux is a 22 year old Canadian trying to make a go of life in New York City! In a brief instant Olivia's life changes when she is in a car accident and spends four days in a coma in hospital, what she sees when she wakes up is Jace Rush... a man so beautiful he takes her breath away... And so their story begins. There is all kinds of goodness and sweetness, but the story is also filled with mystery... what is Olivia's story with her family? What is Jace's story with his father, what's the mystery behind how Jace came to be head of the Rush Industries??? All these questions, and who is sending the mysterious letters? I have theories... conspiracy theories!!! But I'll save them for the book discussion in my head later, over a cup of white hot chocolate... HOW good did those sound???

The story is told from Jace and Olivia's perspectives, which is fine, but I wasn't sure whose perspective I was reading until a few sentences into each chapter. I must admit the references from Jace about him being dangerous and everyone else also referring to him as dangerous got a little boring towards the end because there wasn't anything really that suggested Jace was dangerous... yes sure things happened with his ex but Lexie is still in love with him and she wanted more which Jace wasn't able to give... Bit frustrating... and Chase, he refers to Jace as being bad for Liv too... But I still don't get it?! Everyone is saying this and warning her about that but where's the proof? Sure he's into BDSM... but so what? Hahaa... ok maybe my mind is not so innocent anymore and I can see beyond all the S&M stuff and focus on the story, which makes the story rather bland when you take all that kink out.

A decent book nonetheless.

Very few reviews are bound to mean something. Of course, it seems I never learn my lesson. Because the blurb sounds interesting, doesn't mean the book will be too. I went ahead and bought this book without hesitation. Sadly, it didn't hold my attention. Not at the beginning, not in the middle, and definitely NOT in the end.
Jace was....a lot of things. But, he wasn't hot (at least not to me). He was always growling, so I had to wonder, is he some sort of beast? It isn't sexy at all. There are times when 'growling' is necessary but not all the damn time. He was just a creepy stalker. Not even his physique was attractive to me. Sorry, but he didn't do it for me at all.
Olivia. Oh God. Where do I start? She was something else. I understand the author tried to make her look as independent but it wasn't happening. All she did was make Olvia look like a spoiled, stubborn bitch that kept contradicting herself. I couldn't keep up with her nor did I understood why she acted the way she did.
Oh, and the first time they became intimate? Whoa, it was NOT sexy whatsoever. I skipped almost the whole thing and not because I'm against explicit sexual scenes. On the contrary! I am a fan of Fifty Shades and In Flight series after all. No, it wasn't that. It was just a little unexpected and a little creepy that I wasn't feeling all the sexual tension.
In overall, the story was boring. I believe there are two more books but I'm not buying them. Perhaps, they are better? I've seen that happen but I'd prefer someone else to determine that. Good luck to those who buy it and I hope you enjoy it.

Well where to start ?

I loved this book !
I was already aware of the authors work having read some of her other books (which I also loved !!)
Actually it was reading 2 other books and loving them that led me to seek out more of this authors work.

I was drawn to All Good Things after reading the synopsis and being very intrigued by the alpha business man and strong willed female combination. I mean honestly who doesn't love a hot billionaire dom story ? ;)

As I began reading this I was blown away by the descriptive language used to describe scenes ! Alannah uses words that flow so fluidly they draw you into the heart of the scene as if your viewing it right there within the room with the characters.
I felt every emotion thinkable while I was sucked into the world of Jace and Olivia. Their tempestuous relationship had me riveted from the first meeting and wondering what the story held for them. Just as I thought I had a small idea of where the story was leading bam I was hit with a piece of information that floored me as a reader and took the dynamic of the story off in a total different direction leaving me with a wide eye shock face! .......

Loved it !!

I'm so pleased to see this is book 1 of a trilogy and I cant wait to see where the story goes next in book 2

Definitely a 5 ☆ read for me.

This was a really emotional read. I had to wait a little while before writing this to get my emotions in check. Jace is an over the top alpha male, who is obsessed with Olivia. Just looking at her calms his darkness and he craves this. Olivia is a good girl. She moves to New York, separating from her family, to make it on her own. Her father controlled everything around him and she isn't looking for a man, any man, especially one like Jace. He sees her in the back of a taxi and is drawn to her. While watching the taxi, it ends up being crashed, and he runs to her wanting, no needing her to live. This starts the story. It has a lot of inner dialogue from both characters and there is a suspense element thrown in. It also ends on a cliffhanger. Again I'll caution that your emotions will be engaged on this story. I will definitely be on to the next book, I need to know what happens.

I really wanted to like this. The writing and the story held a lot of promise..... But the sex scenes were bad.....like totally devoid of any sexiness. Very clinical, lacking heat, with the mechanical process of a couple of damp squid going at it. LOL.

If you want to have a laugh, or you want to cry at such an abysmal loss of erotica, then this is the place to read it. Be warned.

I'm really liking this series. Has sort of a fifty shades feel but has its own twist. Jace is dark and a dominant who uses woman. Olivia is sweet and a good girl just wanting to leave her past and rich, stuck up family behind. But when fate throws them together, sparks fly and everything changes.

I really tried to finish this one, and I do like this author, but only got through 61%. great premise especially with the accident, but Olivia was so annoying. She changes her mind every other page , and I hate the constant misunderstandings.
