I believe this book is a tender way of teaching our children about the Holocaust. Teaching them in a way they can understand and leaves a message of them being the Hope of a Better World 🌎
Explains the holocaust in a way that is appropriate for young children. Nice illustrations and well written by a Holocaust survivor. Born in 1924 she survived a concentration camp and the infamous Nazi Death March. Out of the 4000 women led on the march to avoid the advancing Allied forces she was one of only 120 to survive. Received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2010. I got to meet and attend a lunch with her a few years ago so my copy is autographed. Along with my autographed copy of All But My Life, they are a prized part of my collection.
This book was very touching, it covered real world issues. I would recommend this for young and developing readers who are mature enough to understand the reality and severity of real world issues that some of their ancestors may have been a part of. It teaches children that there can always be a new spring and a new beginning when times are tough.
