Sabin just wants his powdered sugar donuts, until he meets a man that tastes better than any sweets Sabin’s ever tried…

Sabin has watched his brother fall for a man, a human who was Nischal’s mate. Sabin just wants his damned junk food, but no. A weird shifter named Cliff had to mention Sabin in a creepy text and now Sabin can’t have a moment’s peace.

Until he goes to town with Nisch and Preston, and meets his mate. Hey, no one can tell Sabin he can’t be with his mate! Except his mate doesn’t know anything about shifters, much less that he is one, and together Sabin and Emmett are thrown into a life or death race to discover a plot that threatens all of humanity… At least, the human part of it.

A few things about me...

I am a married mom of four who spends most of the day writing, either on stories or at the blog. I love to write as much as I love to read. I am generally quiet and laid back, choosing to let things slide off me rather than stick and irritate me.

And it's really hard trying to think of descriptives for myself, so I'll just let y'all e-mail me or comment at the blog if there's something specific you'd like to know, and spare you from reading a boring bio:D

I've been looking forward to this next installment in Bailey Bradford's 'Leopard's Spots' series. I fell for Sabin in Nischal's book when he had his first taste of sugary junk food from a vending machine and went a little bit cuckoo. He made me laugh so hard and he also broke my heart a little with his offbeat way of looking at the world and his loneliness, especially when his twin found his own mate. I was really looking forward to Sabin getting a happy ever after too.

Sabin is flabbergasted to discover his mate, Emmett, while he is out shopping. He is more shocked, however, to realize that Emmett has no idea he's a shifter, in fact, he knows nothing of their world. How is that possible? When Emmett bites and claims Sabin, he begins to shift for the first time, and terrified, he must trust and rely on his mate to get him through this. Luckily, for Sabin, there are feelings and abilities that Emmett has had all of his life but couldn't always explain, so it makes it a little easier for him to come to grips with the fact he's a shifter. The mate bond also helps him deal with his feelings for Sabin and what a mate really is.

Cliff shows up (oh, when is his story?) and basically lets Emmett know that all of the shifters involved in the trafficking have been taken care of, but that there are still humans who know about them. He also hints that there are plenty of dirty FBI agents involved with all of this. Emmett is determined to unearth them and bring them to justice. However, when he meets with his parents, both he and Sabin realize his parents have no idea Emmett isn't their biological child. This leads Emmett and Sabin on a hunt for the doctors and the clinic who provided the IVF. And, oh wow, what they discover about Emmett's conception is mind-boggling. I had no idea the author was going in this crazy direction. What an awesome twist!

This eleventh installment was far from a disappointment. I adore Sabin and it was easy to care about Emmett, particularly since so much of who he is was unknown to him. The unexpected twist was fantastic and now I'm waiting for the next book to see more of this development play out. Thank you, Bailey, for another wickedly good story!

2.5ish

This book was kind of hooky. Sabin and his mate Emmett were unexpectedly childish and I felt like they were only together to have hot more kinky than most of the other couples sex. Nothing wrong with sex, but I just didn't feel the connection between them that I've felt in some of the other couples in this series.

I also had trouble believing certain aspects of this book

There were times the book felt preachy, not to mention it ends without really giving closure. I guess because the next book with continue the storyline (?), but I would've liked Emmett to talk to his parents about things, not to mention have a clear idea of what's going to happen to Sabin and Emmett , and I would’ve liked some Sabin and his bro moments.

All in all this book was okay, but I liked some of the previous books in the series more.

I was hoping for better for Sabby... I really liked him in past books. I want to give it 3 Just cause it's Sabby, but can't.
The sex scenes were way too much.. If not done right it can ruin a story (IMO) take from a good story to porn. ANd the ending did not care for that ending just hanging. But all hers do that, this one just seemed should have been more. ( maybe if she cut out a long sex scene she could have added to the damn story that has been going on forever.)
Too bad I was looking forward to Sabby's story..

Wow. Emmet pretty much starts out unlikeable, but then Sabin turns out to be surprisingly fun (not to mention accepting), which after a while also affects Emmet in positive ways.

And sex in animal form? Erm, yes. Almost happens in an actual scene, definitely later in summary. Either way, there’s certainly a lot of ripping and mauling involved. Then again, maybe violent sex is par for the course for this series? I can’t remember.
Sex certainly seems to take center stage, but I am pleased to say that there’s other stuff besides. Well, I say that and mean it, but it’s true that after a while the sex does get just way too frequent. The story would only be half as long without it, easily. It’s not actually awful sex (if you are into violence, D/s, and extremes) and Sabin’s enthusiasm is still particularly endearing, but on the whole the sheer focus on sex does get frustrating – unless that’s what you’re looking for. I don’t, so this element diminished my overall enjoyment a little.

Some thoroughly confusing blips occur, too. Like Sabin calling out Emmet on being with the FBI – and the next day asking him what he does for work and having a shocked reaction to the FBI thing.

Then there’s Sabin’s puzzling relationship with technology. First he states that he despises smart phones and refuses to use his other than as a blunt weapon. Then he makes allowances for the internet as being excluded from his anti-tech stance. And finally he spends the entire story googling things on his phone and regularly calling or texting his brother.

I also have to wonder about .

Anyway, we also saw some heavy foreshadowing regarding Cliff, which almost makes me want to read that final book. I will, but I am not in the biggest hurry. The back-story has taken a rather horrifying and individually devastating turn, so that’s added to my established scepticism regarding the final couple’s OP-ness. We’ll see.

At this point I am just satisfied that the emotional component of this series seems to work for me for the most part. :3

Freed from a drugged captivity that kept Sabin and his brother in their snow leopard form for almost two years, Sabin’s human form has discovered he has a sweet tooth. In pursuit of donuts, Sabin meets his mate Emmett. Forgetting about the shopping, Sabin and Emmett seek out the nearest motel.

Sabin is the eleventh book in the Leopard’s Spots series. The setting is Colorado Springs. The plot continues with the human trafficking theme. Shady law enforcers, along with their surprising agenda, are revealed. The balance of justified or merciless actions regarding the powerful man of unknown origins is scrutinized. Although the mystery man appears throughout the series, he has not been featured as a main character yet.

The characters are credible. Before meeting his mate, Sabin is mostly content to simply enjoy having his freedom, along with being surrounded by his family. After meeting Emmett, Sabin likes exploring the kinky side of his sexual nature. Emmett grew up in a wealthy family; he was always different from other kids at school because of his unusual eye color. Emmett has other explained traits not found in humans, such as enhanced hearing, smell and strength. He is a loner, as well as addicted to his work. Mating with Sabin not only uncovered Emmett’s true nature, but what it means to be bonded.

Bailey Bradford has created another fascinating episode highlighting corruption, deadly turmoil and intimacy. I particularly enjoy the elements of mystery.

Reader Advisory: Story includes elements of BDSM.

3.5 or 4 stars? I'm undecided.. Initial reaction was a 4

Intense emotionally driven mysterious... eh .. a bit too much sex...

BUT.. sorry has to be a but..I did not like that Sabin and Emmett's relationship felt.... uneven. Like one is mostly giving and one is mostly taking. Though it seems to work for them, I've always felt the more evenly give/take between mates was an integral part of this storyline. Plus there was a certain lack of claw wounds during lovemaking/fucking (really this in reality) that's present in other stories as well.

Delving into the mystery of HOW of Emmett brings up so many more questions. Some of the answers bring up lots more questions. Thou I can see this opening up a lot more possibilies for the contination of this series, it may lead to something too out there for this series to handle this far out.

I am looking forward to learning more about Cliff. Personally my first thought was that he is in someway brother to Emmett. Especially since Emmett felt like he should know him..

The eleventh story in the Leopard’s Spots series is an intriguing m/m erotic book with some surprises and lots of suspense. I found that the scenes are well written, easily pictured and believable. The story has an interesting and serious conflict as well as sizzling sex scenes and romance with just the right amount of humor and snarky dialogue that make for a well balanced story. And the characters are lovable and compelling ensuring that the reader wants to know more.

I think what really bothered me about this book is the bad biology. Sure a litter can have multiple fathers but a pup or cub still only have two parents. And to say there could be multiple mothers just goes too far for me to accept.

Much of the rest of the book was what I expect from this series.
