Book Three in The Executive Decision erotic romance trilogy by Grace Marshall.
Successful NYC gallery owner, Stacie Emerson, is ex-fiancée to one Thorne brother and ex-wife to the other. Though the three have made peace, Ellison Thorne’s friend, wildlife photographer, Harris Walker, still doesn’t like her. When Stacie convinces Harris to exhibit his work for the opening of her new gallery she never intended to include him in her other more hazardous plans. But when those plans draw the attention of dangerous business tycoon, Terrance Jamison, Harris comes to her aid. In the shadow of a threat only Stacie understands, can she dare let Harris into her life and make room for love?
Grace Marshall lives in South England with her husband and the growing gang of hooligan birds who frequent their feeders. When Grace isn’t busy writing something sexy and romantic, she’s busy digging in her ever-expanding veg garden or walking across the British countryside. She finds inspiration outdoors in nature, and most of her best story ideas come to her while she’s walking or gardening.
Grace is the author of the fast paced, quirky Executive Decisions Trilogy published by Xcite Romance. An Executive Decision, Identity Crisis, The Exhibition are all available.
Grace Marshall’s alter-ego, K D Grace, writes critically acclaimed, best-selling erotic romance. Whether it’s sexy romance or romantic sex, between The Graces, there’s a story for you.
Stacie's story finally arrives! This mischief causing klutzy sexpot redeems herself in the end of this trilogy. From the first book, Stacie's good intentions have only screwed up situations beyond all recognition. She's irritating and a reader only wants to smack her hard to knock some sense into her. It's baffling as to why the Thorne brothers love her so much. Really, how does one stay such good friends with an ex-fiancée and ex-wife? It boggles the mind.
Harris, friends with the Thorne brother's wives, he feels the same. Stacie hurt his friends, why would he ever want to interact with her? Stacie is determined to win Harris over so she can showcase his amazing photographs in her art gallery. This book comes under the guise of romance between two frenemies turning into lovers. It's much more than a contemporary romance. This tale is one of vengeance and retribution. When a smart woman's been pissed off, she will take years for payback to occur. Stacie is my kind of woman.
Ms. Marshall turns a seemingly shallow character and builds her up in layers. Stacie is definitely more than meets the eye. She's also someone who is determined to right the injustices. While I didn't really like or understand Stacie, I did appreciate her planning. Ms. Marshall does a great job of setting it up and when it came all together in the end, I am blown away. Within twenty four hours of finishing the book, I'm already re-reading sections because I loved it. I savoured certain sections over and over again. I must have read a few of my favourite passages at least ten times already.
Ms. Marshall concludes this world with all parties exactly how a reader would wish. This satisfying end makes this book a four star for me. The writing is definitely well done. The plot is easy to follow and it is clear there is something else going on. What makes it good is the unexpected twist. I enjoy being caught off guard. Ms. Marshall is one of maybe a handful of authors who accomplished this very difficult feat. I didn't anticipate the ending and my stomach clenched in knots as I try to figure out how this will all resolve. This tension generates a euphoric feeling when it suddenly releases with a punch to the gut.
Ms. Marshall also writes great love interests as well as secondary characters. Generally I don't enjoy switching point of views. In this story, it's done so well, I don't notice it at all. Each character is lovingly created to add their special personality for this group of friends. The bonds of friendship as well as love for each other is very attractive. This generates a feel good sentiment which most readers really enjoy. I personally love when successful people with different talents are all good friends. None of them are cookie cutter. They are unique and yet fit together so well. I highly recommend this contemporary romance to those who love a woman who bring a man to his knees.
*I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review
I liked this trilogy so much that "Here's hoping for a sequel trilogy" for 3 more friends a la Terry Brooks and his elves. Or I'm happy 😊 with having a trilogy in 5 parts a la Douglas Adams and his Hitchhiker's. T6 7..
Sinfully seductive and too tempting to miss this steamy story sizzles on the bookshelf!
This darkly delicious, intoxicating erotic novel has to be my guilty pleasure! What I love about ‘The Exhibition’ is how stylish and sophisticated the storyline is, wherein nothing too distasteful or sordid can be found {despite the genre}. The suppressed feelings and tension between Stacie and Harris is just so energetically charged that you can feel the sparks smouldering through the pages, as they captivate you mind and body. Full of emotive resonance and romantic connotation, I was so impressed by this classy read for the eclectic reader. This series will appeal to a wide readership as it expands upon the customary boundaries of erotica, by presenting something refreshingly new and original.
Book 3 follows on from ‘An Executive Decision’ and ‘Identity Crisis’ and yet can also be read on its own, as the storyline is straightforward to plunge into without having prior knowledge of other Grace Marshall books. NYC gallery owner Stacie is ex-fiancée to one Thorne brother and ex-wife to the other! When Stacie opens her new gallery she enlists the help of Thorne’s photographer friend Harris Walker, who awakens dark desires within her that she had hoped to bury. The question remains if she is able to make room for love in her life again?
K D Grace {writing as Grace Marshall} has produced a noteworthy contemporary novel, which highlights how love really does triumph over all and so is ideal for the hopeless romantic! Undeniably gripping and a real page-turner this fantastic story kept me glued to the page throughout, somewhat flustered and a little hot under the collar to say the least. If you enjoy reading series such as ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ or books such as ‘Fire After Dark’ for instance, then I would highly recommend this exceptional erotic novel to add to your bookshelf.
Scintillating suspense and fervent passion intermingle to produce a contemporary romance that is highly memorable, with unforgettable characters that are just brilliant. Despite being a genre that I rarely read this well-written story was an engaging read from beginning to end, won in a Goodreads First-Read book giveaway.
The Exhibition is the last book in Grace Marshall’s best-selling Executive Decisions trilogy. The previous two books dealt with two other couples getting it together, and the trials and tribulations they had as part of this. The Exhibition tells the story of Stacie Emerson and Harris Walker.
Stacie’s a successful art gallery owner, and Harris is a photographer. She wants Harris’ work as part of her latest big exhibition, which as well as being incredibly high profile, will also raise lots of money for charity. The trouble is, they don’t particularly like each other, so getting them together in the same room to discuss things is a challenge in itself. Harris dodges Stacie’s phone calls, text messages and emails for as long as possible, until they’re thrown together and actually end up with a grudging respect for one another.
Respect eventually grows into more, and it’s clear there’s an attraction between the two. But Stacie’s got lots going on her life, including one massive thing which she doesn’t want any of her friends involved in. She’s desperate to keep the people she cares about safe, so when Terrance Jamison, her ex, Ellison Thorne’s arch-enemy, threatens to expose Stacie’s secrets, she must expose him for the scumbag that he is. He hurt her badly, very badly, in the past, and when she sees him starting to do the same thing to a promising new artist she’s exhibited, Stacie knows she must do everything in her power to stop him. Whatever it takes.
I’ve loved these books by Grace Marshall – but this one is my favourite of the three. The storyline was incredibly gripping and I very much enjoyed the will-they-won’t-they love/hate relationship between Stacie and Harris. Of course, there was a great deal more to their love story than this, but I don’t want to give anything away. Let’s just say, if you enjoy a hot romantic thriller with some amusing moments thrown in, then you should definitely check out this book. It can be read as a standalone, but I’d recommend checking out the trilogy.
The Exhibition by Grace Marshall I have been waiting for this one to come out and it was definitely worth the wait. This is the third book in the Executive Decision Trilogy. This is the Story of Stacie and how she has worked hard for what she has in life. Stacie is a respectable art gallery owner. Well she had a hard time in the beginning, loosing her business partner and trying to avoid a very controlling man. Through out the book Grace gives us flashbacks of the terrible things that have happened to Stacie that way we get the whole story. Stacie is planning a show in her new gallery and there is one artist she wants most, Harris. She has the hots for Harris but Harris doesn’t really like her. He does think she is a beautiful woman and does get hard every time he thinks of her. Now in what world would you thin you didn’t like someone if they constantly give you wood? Well the controlling man from her past has come back to taunt her. Harris feels the need to protect her from him. Harris does end up falling hard for her. Stacie being the woman she is does get revenge on the controlling man. I don’t want to give away too much because it’s a wonderful story to read… I love how Grace brings back all the characters from the trilogy. I think they are like one big crazy family. There was one part I didn’t see coming and neither will you once you read it. Loved the story line and I most definitely loved the characters. I can’t wait for Wade’s story now. I wonder what kind of trouble is in store for him. Guess I will just have to wait and see! “I received this book as a review copy in return for an honest review”.
Brilliant end to an amazing trilogy. So many fantastic characters. This book tells us about Stacie Emerson, the life long friend of the Thorne brothers and Harris Walker the best friend of Kendra and Dee all characters from book one and two. Stacie comes across as a strong willed making the impossible happen in the art industry. She runs an art gallery that she saved from bankruptcy. She works incredibly hard and has succeeded where others have failed. All this has not happened without its consequences. It has been beyond tough. Terence Jamison has made sure Stacie did things the hard way. The man is pure evil, he controls Stacie, he will never let her live a normal happy life. He wants to possess her, own her and he actually believes that he does but she is strong in mind and older now. Harris Walker is a photographer, a very talented photographer and Stacie wants his photo's in her gallery. Harris however dislikes Stacie and doesn't trust her from the time he meets her. Everyone tries to explain to him that Stacie knows what she is doing and he should learn to trust her. He starts to realise that they could be right. Stacie and Harris start to get along but this puts them both in danger. Terence Jamison will not allow Stacie to be with any other man. No body really knows what Stacie has had to endure over the years. Her close friends can not believe what she has been through at the hands of Terence Jamison. Things are never as they seem and I was on the edge of my seat reading. I have been on a brilliant journey reading about all the characters in this trilogy. Thank you Grace Marshall.
I'd read the first two of the trilogy in a matter of a day or two each. So I was anticipating reading this one with a fair been of keenness. Life got in the way of me beginning it and I cursed and would pick it up and attempt to start it again before something else cropped up.
Fortunately I shut myself away and read away. Oh my was I not only pleased I was captivated. I sobbed like a baby towards the end. What a thrilling and exciting book, then there are the sex scenes that are also thrilling and exciting.
More romance that erotica as it's a Grace Marshall, but with lots of filth as well. My favourite book, story wise of the trilogy, despite the fact that when I began the book Stacie was not my favourite character. She does however develop greatly in this book and we learn more about her past. Best of all we finally see what will happen a character most people loathe. Wonderful way to end the trilogy too.
Thrilling, suspenseful and sexy. The third book in this epic series is an absolute stormer. In the previous books I had initially disliked Stacie, as time went on I began to mellow towards her, this book made me love the woman with a passion. Her story took me completely by surprise, it made me sad and made me blood-boilingly angry! Harris is amazing. Strong moral beliefs, caring and oh my god, the man gives great sex!! The villain in this piece is a pure boo, hiss, I want to stab him in the eye with my stiletto character. Any book that creates such strong feelings towards the characters, good or bad, is to be highly recommended and that's exactly what I'm doing. Fabulous story, wonderful characters presented with style and class from this magnificent author.
Magnificent conclusion to this three part series. Stacie and Harris takes us on a roller coaster ride of emotions with mystery, suspense, wild sex, cruelty, manipulation and passion. Jameson is the perfect villain that we love to hate. Stacie is an amazingly strong woman with an incredible ability for planning the perfect "pay back" on all levels. While Stacie and Harris had their own individual fears of commitment issues in the beginning to deal with, it was minor compared to the tremendous burden Stacie shouldered that provided the intense excitement and suspense of the plot, especially the latter part of the book leading to the breathtaking finale.
I want to thank Grace Marshall and Goodreads First Reads Giveaway for my copy of The Exhibition that I won on the Giveaway.
The Exhibition takes place in Oregon, one of my favorite places to have lived part of my life. The environmental issues, the secrets and relationships of the characters make The Exhibitionist an interesting and wonderful story for the readers about a current issue that has many sides.
Harris, Dee and Kendra's bestie is HOT! Smoking HOT! And the chemistry between Harris and Stacie, who is the ex fiance of Ellis and the ex wife of Garrett, complicated much!? is off the charts! Made even better by the fact that they can't stand one another, so they fight the attraction. Add a psychotic arsehole into the mix to stir up Harris's ALPHA protective tenancies and we have a hit! Great series, easy to read! Loved it!
I thought the first two books in the series were pretty good, but this book was way too focused on the suspense. It spent way more time on the very creepy relationship between the heroine and the bad guy, than the romantic relationship between the couple. Because of that, you don't really feel connected to them.
4.5 awesome stars. What a great ending to the trilogy! How everyone came together as is should. Dee and Ellis, Kendra and Garrett and last but not least Stacie and Harris. Love the plot the twists and turns and TJ got what he well deserved. Well done Grace Marshall.
